Right within the silence the door is cracked open. Samuel and Quentin are competing back from... what was the subject? I don't know, a lesson.
"Morni... well Evening fits better, doesn't it?", Samuel laughs opening the door.
"Hi, how are you two?", I ask them both curious. I mean, I had a bac day, Rocco had, the rest has a bad day because of Rocco, let's see if they had a bad day as well or if we have to make it bad.
"Pretty well, yours?", he answers.
"Halfway. No homework?", I dont want to make their day bad. But sooner or later we have to tell them.
"No, no homework for us. Quentin does it while in school and I did it while waiting for him.", he explains to me.
"Ok.", I mumble and work ahead on the homework. They are all so different! I wonder how that all works out so well! I mean: they're guys! But I must admit, I like it here. They are just so funny and I kind of feel at home. I always learn something new and my language has changed a little into a more modern one. My life really changed from top to bottom. Tomorrow it'll be a week since I've met Xiang Xia. At first I hated her, but now I regret it. Through her my life isn't as dark anymore as it was. I feel like I really came to live.
Tomorrow. That was the topic. By the way, wasn't tomorrow something important? Ah! Our last day as a middle school student! I bump my hand against my head. And everyone turns to me.
"What's up, Kay?", Jack asks first.
"Ah, nothing.", I try to get around the topic quickly.
"No, say it!", Samuel diggs.
"Well I just realised that we get the grades tomorrow."
"What? That bad?", Quentin smirks evil.
"No, that's not it...", but I get cut off by Horiacio: "That says you the straight A student!"
"Is it that bad not want to be like you, happy with having an E?", Quentin shoots back at him. What should I say? Karma. But he is really that bad? I mean, being happy having and E? When there is only F left? I mean I could understand being happy with a C but an E?
"What can I say? For me an E is more then enough.", he states firmly and the boss start to laugh at him. Well that's not funny though: "That's enough for you? On wich planet are you even living?" He's basically saying he's having F grades on a regular basis!
"On earth, are you stupid?", he gives back surprised.
"The stupid one is you!", Bency laughs again and the argument is starting again. Even Quentin is on for it. He tries to get it in their head that Horiacio has to get help from him with studying. And in the middle in this mess there's a hopeless me, trying to finish her homework and putting it in my (well our) room. I throw my school bag into the corner and myself into bed. I plug the headphones in and start to laugh at the memory of the guys looking weird at me as I left the room. I have to laugh again, over and over til I suddenly start to sleep accidentally.
I can't sleep long though, Bency is trying to wake me up: "Kay, Kay come on! We're ready. And we've done our homework. We want to work on our project now."
"You don't need me for that. I don't have anything to do at the moment anyways.", I mumble and turn back around so I can sleep without disturbances.
"But you wanted to teach us how to sew, or not?", he arguments.
I think I don't stand a chance...: "5 more minutes..."
"Not gonna happen! We have to sew."
"Right he is!", Horiacio screams while running in the room and catching my comforter and running straight out again. Wasn't he so against sewing?
"Hey give it back!", I scream and make my way chasing after him. Luckily I didn't change the clothes!
"No, you're not getting it!" he's wearing it over his shoulders now and holding it tight with both his hands. Before I could even think twice about it all I was back to the others in the group room...
"Oi, guys! No! You're so mean!", I start laughing and they all join in. So mean! Evil people!
"Komm schon, fang an mit dem Unterricht!", Samuel comments.
"Why're you speaking German?", I ask irritated.
"Didn't speak German at all!", he complains irritated himself.
"Yes, you did.", Bency comments casually.
"Oops, that might come from the German homework I just did.", he explains. Ah, that would explain it... I do the same with French...
"It doesn't matter anyways, let's just start the lesson now.", Quentin says.
"Quentin? I thought you were writing the song with Jack and Rocco?", my irritation isn't ending today.
"When you were thinking about the solution for Rocco missing you decided we'd do it all together and learn how to sew while being at it. It would all go way faster like that."
"Ah, yes! Now that you mention it!", the events from earlier come flying back to me. "So, then guys, first we'd have to get ourselves some needles and threads. Do you have any?"
"No." That was expected.
"Well then we'd have to buy some.", I explain.
"But the markets are already closed!", they sigh. Well, then we have to do it tomorrow...
