The sky turned dark, a crowd of people stood before giant white gates that lead to the area where the Holy Selection is initiated and then the Holy City.
"The ceremony has started again. Salvation is near..."
"As long as I get through this Holy Selection, I will finally rest easy and eat."
"Finally, paradise is near."
Murmurs of hope and anticipation filled the air as the crowd gathered before the imposing gate. Every single one of them desired to enter the Holy City, all for the sake of a safe haven that would give them food and shelter, away from the harsh desert outside.
Hiding among wearing brown cloaks and hoods were Zenkichi and his group, excluding Rushd and his mother as he had them wait at their tent with many food, snacks and water.
'I don't feel any Servants around the area,' Zenkichi thought with a frown, blood dripping down his nose before he hurriedly wiped it away.
Without using either his divinity or demonic power, Reading Minds could only reach as far as 50 meters. But similar to the original owner of the skill, Zenkichi could hear everyone in his range, including their emotions.
Their pain, their hopes, their fears—all of it echoed in Zenkichi's mind, a cacophony of voices vying for attention.
He quickly turned off the ability after a few seconds, feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of the emotions flooding his mind. Zenkichi shook his head slightly, trying to clear his thoughts.
He used the Abnormality many times before but never in such a crowded and emotionally charged environment. It was disorienting to be bombarded with so many feelings at once. Luckily for him, he could turn it off.
But the original owner couldn't, they was truly pitiful.
'I need to focus. Before shit hits the fan like it did in-game, I need to kill the Lion King and finish this singularity and go home.'
Although it was... interesting to travel a vast desert on a weird creature called a Sphinx, he preferred going back to school and see both Nekomi and Sayaka rage quit against Kirigakure-sensei in the new Tekken 8.
Seriously, how is that woman an Exorcist and a certified Nun?!
Clangk!
The giant white gates suddenly began to creak open, drawing Zenkichi's attention back to the present. The crowd surged forward, eager to enter the area where the Holy Selection would take place. Zenkichi and his group followed suit, blending into the throng of hopeful individuals.
"Everyone, be careful. I'm sensing multiple high-level spirit origins just up ahead," Da Vinc whispered to the group, her voice barely audible over the din of the crowd.
Everyone nodded in acknowledgment, their faces set in determined expressions.
As they entered the designated area, Zenkichi's eyes narrowed immediately up front where a few knights stood obediently but he was more focused on the three; two women and one man.
The man was familiar, it was Gawain, and he was standing up front with the two women standing on each of his side. On his left was the tall and ferocious looking woman that guarded the ruined gate earlier in the morning, she was Barghest, also known as the Fairy Knight Gawain; a servant from a distant world, a different timeline, one that had been ruled by the Queen of Winter, Morgan The Witch, the Lostbelt of Faerie Britain.
On the right, similarly from that world, with pale skin and long, flowing hair of a deep, vivid pink that cascades down her back and frames her face, was girl named Baobhan Sith, the Fairy Knight Tristan and the "daughter" and successor of the ruler of Lostbelt Britain.
They were an anomaly, an impossibility. But the Throne of Heroes works in mysterious way; specifically, a place existing outside of both the World and the time axis.
As long as a connection is formed between the summoner and the Heroic Spirit, Servants from alternate timelines or reality could be summoned, even if they defy conventional logic.
Gawain then spoke up.
"Welcome... candidates of the Holy Selection. I am one of the Knights of the Round Table, Gawain."
Zenkichi narrowed his eyes, hearing the sound of the gates closing behind them.
'Its about to begin.'
"Our Holy City, Camelot, is perfect... A Millennial Kingdom of pure white. Beyond these gates, paradise awaits."
The crowd gasped in excitement and anticipation, hanging on Gawain's every word.
Gawain then raises his right arm.
"Let's appeal to the King's magnanimity."
Everyone looked up and white flames erupted around the high wall, lighting the area as an armored figure with a white cloak with fur emerged atop the wall. The figure radiated authority and power, commanding the attention of everyone present.
"Those who can be led to the farthest end... are few."
'She's strong.' Zenkichi thought, clenching his fists. The Lion King exuded a presence that didn't belong to a mortal no more, but a God.
The Lion King gave out a sort of aura that only those with Divinity, Zenkichi felt like he was staring at Odin once more but... it felt as though they were stronger than the AllFather.
Was it because they were in their domain? Or is because they wielded that weapon?
Zenkichi shook his head, 'What am I worried about? Even if I underestimated her, I can still revive myself a few more times.'
"Humans are bound by the chains of fate."
The Lion King then raises her arm forward.
"Thus, I make this selection."
A bright golden light lit up from her palm.
And two pillars of golden light emerged from two people.
"Souls that have not been tainted."
"Souls uncorrupted by any and all wickedness."
"Humans born from eternal... and immutable purity."
The Lion King then lowered her arm, "I extend an invitation only to these two-"
Swoosh
"Hi."
Zenkichi smiled at the Lion King, who was stunned silent, as he appeared before her with his armor on, a large spear in his right hand and a literal miniature blue sun in his other hand with electricity crackling around it.
He waited for this moment, the moment that the Lion King had her guard lowered.
He put almost everything that he has in this two attacks.
"Goodbye!"

BOOOOM
The explosion echoed through the high wall area as Zenkichi launched his surprise attack on the Lion King, blazing blue flames and crackling electricity engulfing the Lion King and the surrounding area. The crowd gasped in shock as chaos erupted, catching everyone off guard.
"My king!"
Gawain, Barghest and Baobhan Sith immediately tried to rush to the Lion King's aid, but Tawara, Xuanzang, Da Vinci and Mash quickly moved to intercept them, engaging the knights in combat to buy Zenkich and Brunhilde time.
Gawain clicked his tongue and yelled out, "Archers, fire!"
Suddenly, hundreds of arrows were shot into the air and started raining down on the civilians.
"Zen... Berserker!" Gudako raised her hand, all three of her command seals began to lit up with a crimson hue. "Go all out! Defeat the Lion King and defend the people!"
Zenkichi grinned, feeling a surge of magical power flowing through him as Gudako's command seals activated.
"Encounter!"
He snapped his fingers and an invisible barrier appeared over the crowd, and the arrows turned around and rained down upon the enemy knights instead, creating chaos among their ranks.
A small fireball appeared over his right index and he pointed it at the gate to the outside, his eyes still focused on the cloud of smoke of where the Lion King was, and fired; destroying the gate in a blaze of heat and sparks, as the flames died out within moments, everyone began to move, spurred by the sudden turn of events.
Zenkichi wasted no time and charged toward the cloud of smoke where the Lion King had been engulfed by his surprise attack.
Swoosh
There was the sound of steel clashing.
Zenkichi held a long sword that he used to deflect a pair of white and black dao swords. Then he heard the voice of man coming from behind him, with words that brought a chill down his spine.
"Trace, on!"
Immense killing intent filled the air as a crimson spear appeared in the hand of 'Archer'. With a cold expression, he instantly went into a stance that was poised and ready to strike at Zenkichi.
'This bastard... Why the fuck is he here?!'
As someone who played FGO and saw most of the fate series, how could he not recognize the poster child of the fate series? Emiya Shirou! That's right, the man standing before him might have tan skin and white hair, but he didn't have the iconic armor his Counter Guardian version had. Instead, he wore almost all black leather trench coat, a long red scarf around his neck and most importantly, he had his hair down!?
'Which version of Emiya is this?!'
Red electricity crackled around Archer's spear as he opened his lips to say,
"Gae Bo-"
"Scar Dead."
Not wanting to deal with a guy that could bring him into his Reality Marble and skewer him to death with all kinds of Noble Phantasm, Zenkichi unhesitatingly used one of the most powerful skill that he had but rarely used.
Scar Dead was a Minus skill that belonged to one of Kumagawa's cronies, Shibuki Shibushi. It allows her to re-open any wound ever inflicted on someone, no matter how old. This ability extends not only to physical wounds, but to mental wounds as well, allowing her to leave her victims in a state of mental breakdown.
And considering Shirou's history...
"Augh..." Blood spurted from Emiya Shirou's wounds as Zenkichi's Scar Dead reopened every wound he had ever received, both physical and mental. Shirou staggered backward, clutching his chest as the memories and pain flooded back into his consciousness, but mostly because of the hole in his chest where his heart was that a certain Lancer had done many years ago.
"I-I..."
Zenkichi took advantage of Shirou's momentary weakness and swiftly kicked his midsection, sending him flying to the area where his group and the knights were fighting.
"Now with that nuisance gone-" Zenkichi's eyes widened and he immediately used Hirenkyaku to dodge a golden beam of light that destroyed the tower behind where he was.
He turned his head where the Lion King was and cold sweat dripped down his forehead as he saw the Lion King emerging from the smoke, although her helmet was gone and showing her beautiful face that contorted into a furious snarl, she looked completely unharmed by his earlier attack.
She raised her right hand and motes of golden light suddenly began to converge, forming into a lance.
"Ah, shit. Looks like I pissed her off."
"You... how dare you!!"
