Chapter 134: Confirming the Situation

"Haa...Haa... You've g-gotten...better..." Brunhilde panted heavily, laying naked on bed, looking flustered and exhausted. A mix of bodily liquids glistened across her pale white smooth body, giving her a erotic look.

"Thank you." Zenkichi smirked, wiping the sweat off his forehead as he stood up to dress up; getting one of the bigger male school uniforms that he got from the system a long time ago. He couldn't help but be proud of himself for making Brunhilde feel so good that she felt exhausted, as she's a well "experienced" demi-god.

It was just the natural instinct of men.

"Say, how long was I out for?"

"Hmm. About five days..." Brunhilde lazily replied, rolling around the bed with the blanket.

Zenkichi blinked, pausing in the middle of wearing his pants. "Five days...?"

"Yup. A few seconds after your battle with that...thing, you suddenly fainted and tendrils of black energy swirled all around you. We all panicked about it, thinking that you devouring that guy might've resulted in some kind of possession."

"Uh, well, I didn't expect that to happen....I'm sorry for worrying you." Zenkichi scratched the back of his head, a bit sheepish.

Brunhilde chuckled, her laughter light and teasing. "I forgive you~ I know how reckless you can be, any warrior would be during a life and death situation."

She paused. "Hmm, actually, I don't completely forgive you. Remember, I'm not the only one who was worried about you."

"Yeah, I have to apologize to the others as well." Zenkichi smiled and finished clothing himself. "So, did you or Altria carry me to this place?"

"It was all Altria actually, since she has a horse and all. Actually, I wanna mention something interesting to you. About when we were panicking about your state of being, we met an old friend of Altria's." She chuckled, recalling the face Altria made when she saw her 'old friend'. "I didn't think she could make a disgusted face! Well, considering who it was..."

'Old friend...? Is it Merlin?' He could only think about one person that comes to mind when talking about an old friend of hers in this Singularity.

The Mage of Flowers, the advisor of royalties, a candidate for the Grand Title: Merlin.

'I...completely forgot about him!'

"Hehe. And you wanna know something funny? When Merlin appeared, Fou, out of nowhere, just straight up punched him at his face and started beating him up! Can you imagine? A great and renowned mage, getting beat up by a small squirrel-like creature!" Brunhilde had been giggling from the start and couldn't handle it anymore, bursting out in laughter.

'Actually, I kinda do.' He chuckled along with her laughter, as he knew the relationship between the little Beast and the Flower Magician.

"After that hilarious and confusing introduction, Merlin explained to us that your body was just processing the amount of power and characteristics from devouring the monster. We rested for a while at the wall temporarily before heading here the next, the City of Uruk. And ooh boy, there's a very long story about the stuff we went through when we got here."

Brunhilde sighed. Remembering when she and her allies arrived in the city, which looked a bit different than she initially expected. The city looked stable and well-organized, with its citizens lively as well, despite it overly populated with almost all of the people in the land living here. But the most surprising was the king, unfortunately.

Though different in terms of combat capability, they have the same annoying personality. There's a reason why he's the most tyrannical king amongst ancient kings! Regardless that he wizened up a bit.

Brunhilde had a brief encounter with her world's Gilgamesh....and it wasn't a very pleasant one, for her that is. Looks like some things in the multiverse remain constant.

"Let me catch you up in the current situation. First off the monsters aren't the true enemies of humanity, but the Gods."

"Surprise, surprise." Zenkichi said in a deadpan as he sat back down on the bed.

Brunhilde sat upright and slapped his shoulder. "Shut up and listen! There are 3 Gods, Goddesses to be exact, and they're all allied with each other called the Three Goddess Alliance. With their sudden rise and the hordes of demonic beasts running around, the Sumerian city-states have been dealt a devastating blow; it's why the people have fled to Uruk."

She frowned, laying her head over his shoulder. "Well, the situation isn't all that bad as it turns out. The king is surprisingly competent and the people are resilient, but it's still a dire situation. We're fighting a war on multiple fronts: against the demonic beasts, the gods, and time itself."

Zenkichi absorbed the information, his expression growing more serious. "So, the three goddesses are the main threat. Who are they?" he knew who they were but he wanted confirmation.

With the appearance of Zeb, who know what other anomalies has appeared in this world.

Brunhilde sighed, shifting slightly to get more comfortable. "The first is Ishtar, the goddess of war and love. She's capricious and unpredictable, but not outright malevolent. Then there's Quetzalcoatl, a powerful goddess from another pantheon, who believes in strength and honor. Finally, there's the most dangerous one, Ereshkigal, the goddess of the underworld. She's the one who poses the greatest threat to humanity."

"Well, that's what I heard from Siduri. She's a trusted advisor and priestess here in Uruk, and she's been instrumental in helping us understand the current situation. She's a very nice person, which still confuses me why she's helping that ass." She grumbled about Gilgamesh, her tone tinged with a mix of annoyance and respect.

Zenkichi nodded, inwardly sighing in relief that there wasn't any difference. "I see. Anything else?"

"Oh yeah. We found the Holy Grail, sort of."

'Huh? I thought that Fake Enkidu had it? Or was I mistaken?' Zenkichi blinked, listening to her closely. "Really? Where'd you find it? Or did Merlin had it and gave it to you all?"

"I wish. It's in the hands of that asshole, because of some bullshit legend about him: "all the wealth in the world belongs to him" which meant every Noble Phantasm belongs to him, including Holy Grails as it turns out. Can you believe this?! I mean, it's pretty good that we have a...reliable ally," Brunhilde curled her fingers in a quoting hand gesture. "But dealing with his attitude is another matter entirely."

Zenkichi chuckled. "Yeah, I've heard stories about his arrogance. But he is pretty fucking strong, so we need his help. Also, he can't be as bad as the Gods, right?"

"....Fine." She rolled her eyes, pouting.

Zenkichi wryly smiled and softly stroke her long midnight-black hair as he leaned closer. "I promise I'll do my best to keep things in check and avoid any unnecessary conflicts with him."

Brunhilde sighed contentedly at his touch, leaning into his hand. "Just be careful, okay? He's not the type to forgive easily if you cross him. The bastard had fought us the instant we went and spoke to him, saying that it was a "test", and is making us help out the people here to further prove our worth."

"Got it." Zenkichi reassured her, pulling away gently. "Now, I better go find the others and apologize for causing such a scare."

Brunhilde nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Go on, I'll be here when you get back."

Zenkichi gave her one last look before leaving the room, his mind already focused on the upcoming tasks. As he walked through the corridors of their temporary residence, he pondered on his next move. First off, most of the things he remembered about this singularity was about most of the characters; Gilgamesh, Kingu, the three goddesses, Tiamat, Gorgon, the First Hassan, etc.

The way to help restore the human foundation is to get rid of the singularities, aka the Holy Grail, but just like Camelot, he needed to get rid of an anomaly of the divine nature. Defeat the the three goddesses and Gorgon, then stop the descent of Tiamat. Simple, right?
