". . . I . . . give up."
An ancient, desolate, and powerful voice resonated all throughout the entire void.
"All those times and preparations, all those schemes and planning . . . I thought I would succeed, heh, to think that I was still so naive . . ."
There was a man, overflowing with power the likes of very few can possibly imagine, floating within this void. But, this man, whose presence alone can make many Perpetuals bow down before him, is currently slowly disintegrating to nothingness.
"Even with the power of a pinnacle Godly Paragon, I'm still incapable of completely breaching this wretched Cosmic Border. I wish to see what is beyond this unworldly cage I am trapped in, even if it's just a glimpse."
At this point, his lower half had already disappeared. He then separated a small portion of his Primordial True Soul and sent it towards the tiny crack, barely visible even to his current level of perception, one he created when he struck his mightiest blow on the Cosmic Border.
An impenetrable wall that cannot be seen and passed, the Cosmic Border holds all existences within it. Those who attempted to break it have all been erased from existence COMPLETELY, the people's memories of them, their signs of having existed, all those things. At least, this is what the disintegrating man, named Fendou Yi, has gathered on his findings.
As his Primordial True Soul fragment slipped through the miniscule crack, he saw the endless cosmos, a world so bright and full of grandeur and splendor. A place unreachable for him.
"It seems that I'm going back . . . again . . . after countless eons of wasted effort . . ." murmured the man, disappointed, and nearly completely dissipated by now. He, at the very least, wanted the vicious cycle of living and dying the same life to end, how it does matters not. Yet, it seems his curse still took effect, as he felt his consciousness teeter at the brink and get dragged to a great beyond.
