Robbie's dad POV

I had never thought that my son would turn out to be so outrageous. After all that drama about his lover and kid, I thought I could break through his stubbornness, but the boy had the guts to walk out of the house. For the last three days, he has not returned. If that was not shocking enough, he fired all his bodyguards, did not take his car or his chauffeur, canceled all his cards and discarded his previous cell phone and number. He has not used any of his bank accounts ever since he left. Roger is not able to keep any tabs on him. He even checked Ashley's place as well. The boy is nowhere to be found. Except for attending to his regular duties, he is completely out of the radar. All for that cheap omega!! Who would have thought that my threat would backfire on me like this? To think a day would come when my son would fight me for outsiders! When did he get so out of my control?

I clenched and unclenched my fist in anger. I tried to get Ashley, but she is out of the country. Even without being out of the country, she would not speak to me much anyway. Our marriage was an arrangement by our families and we have never shared a deep bond. We decided to give each other space and not interfere with each other's business unless absolutely necessary. If both of us carry on for 26 years of arranged marriage, then why can't he? Why can't he comply with his father's wishes, as Ashley and I did? Haven't I given him everything that he needed? Or maybe I had given him too much freedom that now he can fire back at me! This was all that disgusting omega's fault to turn my son against me. He thinks he can get away scot-free? I will make him pay dearly for it.

"What's wrong with you? You don't look good!" asked a brusque voice.

I turned to look at a man with tanned skin, bright light brown eyes, voluminous dark hair and a properly cut beard. He was tall and had a strong, exercised body. Though the man was in his late forties, he barely seemed to have crossed thirty-five. He was smiling at me lightly.

"I am fine, Stephen. It was a pleasant surprise that you took time out of your busy schedule," I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"All thanks to my daughter's mad love for your son. I just can't say 'no' to her," Stephen said, shaking his head.

"You have spoiled her too much," I sighed.

"She is my only daughter, and she doesn't have a mother. How could I not spoil her?" he said, looking a little helpless.

This is Stephan Olsen, Sarah's father and a recent congress member. He has been my friend since high school and a business friend. He has an Import-Export business which is now looked after by Sarah. We have been able to help each other out in business quite a few times, but ever since he became a congressman, he has been extremely busy. I don't even remember when was the last time I met him. Today, he came along with me as he was pissed at Sarah being ditched by my son. He wanted to personally see my son's lover, and I simply agreed. After all, the best way to get my son out of his hiding is to get his weakness in my hand.

"I thought you married Charlotte out of vengeance. It is surprising that you care for her daughter," I said, eyeing him.

"Mermaid's my daughter too," Stephan replied stiffly, "And I did not exactly marry her for revenge."

"Then for what, love?" I snorted.

"Are you talking about yourself?" he sneered, "Didn't your so-called love for her make you hate all omegas?"

"You have really learned how to talk," I said,

Stephan did not answer but continued to stare out of the window.

I looked at him and, for a split second, caught a glimpse of the high school student whom I had known. Stephan was from the prominent and well-established house of Emmaulsen. However, to his misfortune, his parents died in a plane crash, leaving him with his aunt, his only direct blood relation. However, the woman was a nasty character. She was violent and abusive to the point that Stephan came to school with bruises and cuts all the time. Stephan was the natural heir, so to remove him, she trapped him in a horrible plot involving me and Charlotte (my girlfriend at the time), leading him to juvenile prison. After that, I did not see him again until he resurfaced with his import-export business. He was completely changed. I didn't even recognize him when we first met. If his change was not shocking enough, he married Charlotte. I knew he married her for revenge and never forgot about the incident in high school. I had always felt a little guilty for my part in his imprisonment though, I had no idea at the time. Hence, I tried to make peace with him.

However, the more I stayed with him, the more shocked I was by his changes. Unlike me, who prefers doing everything by the law, he doesn't give a shit about it. He learned his way around the law. With his import-export business, he easily deceived the customs and excise officers. When I asked him about it, he simply shrugged and said, "The law which can't even protect you, it is best to play with it." He had become as nasty and crooked as his aunt. The media portrayed him as a tragic figure who lost his entire family and wife and had been living as a single parent, and he bullshits about how the country took care of him and his daughter in the past, and now he wants to repay this favor by serving the country! It is still a mystery to me as to how the people of this country gobble up his nonsense without even the slightest suspicion.

Like hell, he cared about Charlotte and her death. She was an Omega, and he had a deep grudge towards the omegas ever since the incident in high school. I can't even count the number of his omega employees and assistants he has eaten up. He used their job, their identity and society's biases towards them as leverage to get them on his bed. Some of whom were his daughter's age. I wonder if the word 'shame' even exists in his dictionary anymore. Robbie calls me biased just because I can't tolerate Omegas! Maybe I am, but I at least allow them to work and earn a living without forcing them to sell their bodies to me. Seeing his changes sort of made me wary of him. I have no desire to be on his bad side. I was trying not to let Robbie get on his bad side either but…

"By the way, Ricardo, why didn't you throw that omega out of the resort?" Stephen started casually.

"The resort project is in Robbie's hand, not mine. The recruitment and firing of an employee are decided by Robbie," I answered curtly.

"I wonder what is so good about that man that Robbie rejected my daughter for him. Is it his performance in bed?! Omegas sure have a slutty body."

"Robbie is bonded to him and has a son with him too. Once Alphas choose their soulmates, it is a little hard to break the bond," I said, hmph-ing irritably.

"Bonded?" Stephen looked at me in astonishment, "Huh! No wonder he is running after that guy!!"

I didn't say anything. I saw the resort slowly coming into view. I couldn't help being impressed by the looks of it. Robbie definitely knows what he is doing. Looks like all his training from a young age turned out just fine! The resort appeared more pleasing than I thought. I felt proud even through my anger over Robbie.

As the car entered the parking area and parked, Stephen suddenly laughed before saying with a lecherous look on his face and a finger caressing his lips,

"I wonder what bonded omegas taste like!"
