The trios conversation went on like that for a long time and from time to time, Ah Si would try to butt in the conversation, but with his awkward and lack of experience with girls, he would quit.
Ai on the other hand was having the best time of her life. She never had such a smooth and easy going conversation with her friends. She looked at her brother and sihhed inwardly. He should be the one to ask her these questions. She felt like a third- wheel and with a heavy heart decided to end the conversation a bit earlier.
"I think, we should end the day.." Ai spoke out carefully. Aizhe understood and stood up. She looked at Ah Si and noticing his gaze on her she smiled brightly.
Seeing her bright smile, Ah Si looked down and the shade on his cheeks darkened. He felt the side of his chest, and it was pumping harder than the normal.
He looked up and saw that she was about to leave the café, his calm and collected tone became rushed and unhappy. "I will drop you, Miss Li."
"No, Mr. Ah. I am already grateful for today. I can't be anymore burden towards you two.." Aizhe immediately shook her head and looked at him kindly.
She felt happy, yet worried that she might be burdening them. Ai was also 5 months pregnant, she couldn't push her to her limits on this stage. Ah Si sensed her worries and slowly, and kindly spoke up.
"When you have already exchanged numbers, and made friendships with us, shouldn't we, as your friends, drop you home at least?" Hearing his words, Ai coughed and spit out the water she was leisurely drinking. The water got stuck on her throat and she coughed really loud. Aizhe noticed it and anxiously went towards to pat her back. After a while, Ai calmed down and she looked shockingly at her brother.
Ah Si glared at her and noticing that, she retreated her gaze, following his words. "Yeah, yeah..lets go, we will drop you home, Aizhe."
Aizhe was reluctant, but decided to go along with them when she saw how dark it was outside. The bright sun in the morning was no more there and with the gloomy clouds, it looked like it was going to pour soon.
Sighing deeply, she nodded and taking out her purse, the tree went out of the popular and poshy café.
The three settled in the car and Li Aizhe looked out of the opened window and fixed her gaze outside, seemingly lost in her thoughts.
She somehow felt completed today. Talking with such a nice and kind people, Aizhe remembered her times in Hongcai. People over there were all nice and very friendly. They were nothing like this rich and overbearing people. Life over there was super simple and easy going. Ai kind of reminded her of her Rong Rong.
How was she doing? It had been long since she talked with her..
When grandfathers funeral was done and everyone were giving out their sympathy messages, Aizhe felt really lonely and isolated. For days, she felt like not doing anything. Back then, Rong Rong and granny gave her a huge support. She lived 3 days in granny's house and bid farewell to Rong Rong and granny to fulfill her granfathers' last wish.
But now, she felt really empty in her current house. Uncle Hua likes her, but his wife and kid seems to dislike her to the core. What kind of family hates each other?
Aizhe sighed and broke out of her daze. She looked at the front and noticed Ah Si. He was driving calmly and seemed to be worried-free. She could only see the side of his face and was stunned.
During the time in the café, Aizhe remembered not having talking with him that well. He seemed distant. She noticed that he was being really reserved. He didn't talk or indulge in their conversation that well.
Looking at him now, she was a bit astonished and... mesmerized. His left hand was ripping on to the rear-gear and his face was hidden due to the darkness outside. All you could see was the sides of his curved face, which looked like a knife that will cut if you touched it! His high nose bridge and smooth - looking skin was undeniably amazing too!
While in her deep thoughts, Aizhe didn't notice the smirk resting on Ah Si's face. He was calmly driving, while enjoying the look that was on him.
---
The distance between the cafe and the Li Mansion was quite far. The reason to that was because of the Li Mansion. It was more on to the town area, than the city. Aizhe was super exhausted by now and she looked outside to disperse the tiredness in her. It was really hectic and long day and all she wanted was to quickly go home and get inside her blanket..
"You seem tired, take a rest, it will take a little while to reach," Ah Si broke out her train of thoughts and calmly reminded her.
"Really? I didn't know it would be that far from the café.." Aizhe was a bit taken back when Ah Si spoke out. His voice seemed raspy and heavy. He spoke out each words clearly without breaking his gaze from the road. She cleared her throat and looked at Ai next to her instead.
"Thinking about it, it was quite tiring today.. especially for Ai sister.."
Seeing her warm gaze, Ah Si kept quiet and drove faster.
