Sitting in the wheelchair, Aizhe looked between the butler and Ai sister. She watched how Ai took the huge bowl of potatoes and washed them over and over again. Her tender, pale hands were revealed as she pulled her long sleeves upwards.
She seems to have known cooking really well as there were already a generous amount of food present outside in the dining table. There was an omelette, soybean milk, deep-fried dough sticks, steamed buns, tofu pudding, wheat noodles, rice noodles and now she was making steamed potatoes for breakfast.
Sitting in the wheelchair, she had her mouth hanged out up for a while now. How did she not know that her Ai sister was a legend at cooking? This was so good and she had also placed everything so aesthetically. But were they supposed to all these for breakfast?
'Really..these rich people' They could feed a whole village with this amount of food. Aizhe shook her head as she thought how nice it was to be a sick person. If she could, she would be sick all the time.
"Sister, where did you learn how to cook?" For the past one hour, this was the first time Aizhe spoke.
Pushing her wheelchair behind, she let Ai pass by and place the last ingredients on the dining table outside the kitchen. "Mom was always worried about Lu Jung thus she made me learn how to cook every time we met."
Ai replied to her as she attended her dishes.
Serving the hot steamed potatoes on another big bowl, she placed it in the middle of the table.
Calling over the butler, she told them to pack the food and send them to Ah Corporation.
She then faced Aizhe and pushed her wheelchair towards the dining table.
The butler came forward and helped the 'weak' girl out of the wheelchair to the dining chair. Aizhe sighed as she looked at her normally fine legs.
There were no signs of injury on her body neither her legs. There was only a fracture on her legs which were bound to get better by the next two days. She still hadn't understood why Ai sister was so restless.
Pulling her apron out, Ai looked at the butler and he immediately started to serve the two of them.
"Butler Lu, when is Lu Jung supposed to come?,"
"Young Miss, the Young Master and him are supposed to visit the underground and see the arrangements. They will probably arrive by seven p.m tonight." She nodded and dismissed them.
The butler bowed and he looked at all the maids. All of them left and what remained was the pouting girl and the worried elder sister.
"Aizhe, do you need anything else? Are you feeling sick anywhere? Tell sister.." Hearing her tone, Aizhe's eyebrows furrowed more and she held the chopsticks while smiling awkwardly. 'What is wrong with Ai sister today?' she wondered.
"Nothing much sister, I am just wondering what the doctors said about my condition.." she took the wheat noodles and started to munch the whetting food. It was so good. She raised her hands and grabbed the potatoes. Everything was just so delicious. She looked at Ai and saw her worried face. Her eyebrows furrowed and the smile on her face dimmed.
"Ai sister, what happened?" Ai who was on her daze jolted back and she saw the confused girl in front of her. Sighing, she held Aizhe's hands and said:
"Aizhe, you know I am always here for you, right? Yesterday, when I saw your state, I was shocked. So many incidents are intended for you and I am always worried. That'ss why, I am just worried that when you are gone, you might have no one to take care of you at the Li Mansion." Aizhe saw the worry on her face and she immediately put her chopsticks down. Clasping their hands together, she comforted her.
"Ai sister, don't worry. Nothing will happen to me. This was just an accident, there were no plot or anything behind this." Aizhe told her that but she herself knew this wasn't an accident.
Starting from the village incident where she was chased pretty much the whole town to yesterday's incident, none of these were accidents. These people planned everything accordingly. They knew and wanted to capture her. She wasn't unaware of her surrounding, in fact Aizhe was really careful and a cautious person.
The first time they attacked was at her high school.
At that time she didn't know them and they came as a disguise of her grandfather's relative. She went along with them but somehow on the way out, she started to suspected them. When they tried to engage weird talks with her, She escaped by spraying them all with her spraying perfume.
The second time being the bridge incidents was when they tried to kidnap her. She dumped water mud on them and ran away. She was traumatized by those incident but she never let that fear get her way. She was worried about a lot of problems at that time.
She had to work shifts by shift and pay her own tuition. Although her grandfather had restaurants, she never used his money for her education. Instead, she wanted to stand on her feet and pay her own fees. She didn't tell her grandfather about that matter as to not make him worry and add to his already piled up problems.
However, now that the third incident occurred, she knew they weren't easy people. They had followed her till here. She wondered what their enmity with her was.
Aizhe seemed to have dazed out for a long time and she only came to her senses when she heard a finger being snapped in front of her. She saw Ai and her troubled face. Her doe eyes were filled with curiosity as she waited for Aizhe to reply to her. "Sorry sister, what did you say?," Ai looked at Aizhe carefully and she raised her chopsticks to feed her the rice noodles.
"I asked if you remembered their faces..are you okay?," Aizhe shook her head as she replied to her.
"Ai sister, I only remember they were burly men and they also had masks which did not allow me to see their faces." Ai clasped her fingers as she frowned.
She wanted to go and destroy them immediately last night, but her brother and Lu Jung came in the way.
He had promised to give them a cruel and anticipated death.
"Okay, let's leave that to brother. He will not let them go that easy." Ai said as she smiled at the thought of her brother's attentive care towards Aizhe.
She had always waited for these two to be one and now that they were finally something, she couldn't wait for Aizhe to be her sister-in-law.
She held Aizhe's hands tightly as she asked her questions after questions. "Aizhe, how is you and brother's relationship going so far? Tell me, is he still straight-faced or he is finally cracking?," Aizhe's attention expanded by the sudden change of question.
She had to be silent for a bit to grasp all the questions.
"Sister..what do you mean?, " Aizhe asked her.
"What? I am curious, okay? Not only me, but Mom, Dad, and even the whole Ah Corporation is curios of the girl that can make my brothers heart tumble over one day?" Ai said indicating towards the day, Aizhe set a fire on the whole Corporate.
Her colleagues had asked her so many questions about the girl. Her beauty and the brave font was so captivating. Ai never felt that proud of anything.
Aizhe's eyes widened as she heard Ai's words."What do you mean? Your father and mother know about our relationship?," Aizhe couldn't be more embarrassed. It felt like she committed a huge mistake and she didn't even know what mistake.
Ai smiled at her as she said: "It is okay, mom and dad are happier than Si himself. Do you know, you are Bebo's first woman. He never liked to even be twenty centimeters near women."
"Really? Does he have a phobia or something?"
"No, he is just not used to them and their characteristics." She said as she sliced her omelets.
Chewing with full manners, she continued.
"Actually, do you know how Lu Jung became his secretary?," Aizhe shook her head as she asked her the reason. Chuckling and shaking her head, Ai started to explain.
"When I and Lu Jung came back to A City. Brother looked for a secretary to work under him and he couldn't find one. My Dad had a friend whose daughter studied overseas." She paused and looked at Aizhe. Seeing her eating the food in a relaxed manner, she continued.
"When she came back, her father wanted her to work under the Ah Corporation. He discussed with Dad and Dad asked her to work under Bebo. The next day, she took her resume and went to Bebo's office. Everyone was envious of her. But somehow, the next moment, everyone in the office was stunned to see that she resigned. No one till today knows what happened in his office. Even in the banquets or family functions, Bebo doesn't like to be near any women."
She stopped to drink her soya bean Milk. The texture was really soft and she drank the whole glass. Wiping her mouth, she faced Aizhe. Smiling, she continued.
"Then came Lu Jung. Bebo at first just placed him because he wanted me to have a good future with my husband. Money was really our main priority. But as time went by, Bebo didn't want to fire Lu Jung at all. He trusted him and he still does with all his work."
Aizhe smiled down at that fact. She trusted Ah Si more than anything now. It wasn't because of the girls that he didn't seem to get along with but towards his personality. She didn't know why he didn't push her away like any other girls, but the fact that he trusted and wanted to be with her was all it took Aizhe to accept him.
The two seemed to be having a comfortable breakfast as they comforted and eased each other's tension. Suddenly a phone call rang and Ai immediately reached out for her pockets. Taking the phone, she slid her screen.
"Yes," she answered. Aizhe couldn't hear the contents but she knew it was a happy matter. The gleam of happiness was evident in Ai's face as she smiled and looked back at Aizhe. Disconnecting the phone, Ai smiled cheerfully at Aizhe as she told her the reason.
"Sweetheart, guess what? The audition is next week. I can't wait to see your performance. You need to be prepared tho," She took the napkins next to her and elegantly wiped her mouth. Standing up, she dialed someone else's number, and the phone connected almost immediately.
"FengFeng, could you please take over my styling for my upcoming project?" Aizhe's face dropped as she remembered the audition. Her eyes wandered everywhere in thoughts.
She hadn't yet even decided what song to sing or a way to even prepare for the audition.
She also hadn't yet seen her uncle's recovery which was the only reason why she agreed to the audition in the first place.
She wanted to make her living and see her uncle proud. Through this, she wanted to make him believe that she was something on her own. Ever since her Uncles accident, she hadn't had peace of mind.
There were lots to worry back at home.
She couldn't just leave her Uncle in the care of her wicked aunt and cousin.
Looking at the excitement on Ai's face, Aizhe was stuck on a huge dilemma. She couldn't tell Ah Si or Ai of the tension at home neither could she just back out from the audition.
Ruffling her hair in a frustrated manner, she pricked the potatoes with her knife and filled the whole thing in her mouth. She wanted to ask Ai sister for some techniques with her vocals, but she didn't know that Ai sister had her own house and that she was leaving today itself.
Ai turned around at that moment and chuckled at the sight. Taking a napkin from the table, she wiped the girl's mouth. "Careful, you are going to be a star soon, you have to also behave like one too, no?,"
"Are you done with breakfast, should we go and do something else? Wait, drink this first," Ai took the soybean milk and made Aizhe drink that.
Aizhe who hated the soybean milk made a gurgling sound. Ai shook her head as she made her finish the whole glass. Putting the glass down, she held the handle of the wheelchair and pushed her towards the living room.
"Sister, I had a request?" she asked her with a meek tone. Ai who was pushing her reached the living room and she took the girl's shoulder as she tried to place her on the sofa. Aizhe saw her struggle and she immediately stood up on her feet. Bending over, she started to stretch, and jump a little.
"Haa, my backbone.." Aizhe said in a relaxed tone.
Ai panicked for a moment and she started to reprimand her once more. "You, careful. Sit properly. What help do you need?," She sat on the sofa next to her and took the remote. She gazed at her from time to time. "Sister, I really need a vocal lesson from you. I have only sang twice in my whole life," Ai looked at Aizhe who was busy fidgeting with her fingers and cracking her bones. The cracking sound was really loud.
Holding her hands, she assured her with a warm tone. "Aizhe, singing does come from practicing but mostly it comes from the heart. If you enjoy it so much, you should also enjoy practicing. Let's do so that I would practice with you. In that case, I would also maintain my singing ability." Aizhe looked at her and she felt really happy. She couldn't thank her enough. If Ai sister was to really help her with her vocal training, isn't that like winning in advance?
She smiled brightly as she hugged Ai sideways.
"Thank you sister." Ai smiled back at her while she caressed her head softly. "You don't need to. Now, now. Let's leave all that and watch some good movies. Lu Jung and Ah Si would probably be back by seven and I also have to practice with you. You also need to wash up. Free time is a must."
The maids brought over a blanket and the light of the room dimmed to a blue color. The whole living room felt like it was a cinema. Aizhe and Ai hugged each other close by as they cuddled. You could also hear the weapons and snippers' loud and clear sounds as they watched an action and thrilling movie.

"President, we have bought over the files." The man wiped his sweat as he walked behind Ah Si. The whole room stood up and bowed in recognition of their boss walking by. He didn't even budge and continued walking to his office. He looked at Lu Jung and the assistant immediately move to take the files from the man's hands. Bowing towards the Director, Lu Jung moved to walk behind Ah Si.
"President, Aizhe's medical report came, and also Mr. Li had arrived and is waiting for you at your office." Lu Jung lowered his tone as he spoke with Ah Si professionally.
