Sweet Talk Doesn't Work Part 2

Third Pov:

YuHan walked back to where he last saw ZiNuo, the table was surrounded by countless females till the point where he couldn't find ZiNuo. He carefully walked through the crowd just close enough to see ZiNuo who was still drinking.

"Look at that Gongzi, perfect figure, and everything else is at it's finest. Too bad Teng Sect's most favored daughter has taken a liking to him. He won't get away so easily now," a old xiaojie said. YuHan flew up above the crowd and landed right next to ZiNuo. A xiaojie wearing purple was sitting next to him and talking to him.

"Miss, I'll be taking my friend away," YuHan said as he took the xiaojie's hands off of ZiNuo.

"You won't get away so easily, I saw him first, and he's going to my husband," she smirked. YuHan took ZiNuo into his two arms and turned around ready to fly away from the crowd. Before he could do that he felt a pair of sharp nails digging into his skin. He turned around to see the xiaojie in purple smiling, "Hand him over and you won't get hurt." YuHan flew away from the crowd and walked right out of the hotel.

"You know I can walk right?" ZiNuo spoke. YuHan let him down and ZiNuo fixed his clothes. "That xiaojie was so annoying, right when you left she came straight at me. I was enjoying the taste of wine and she sat there watching me. Then a huge crowd surrounded me in a blink of an eye."

"You have your needles." YuHan said before he checked his shoulder where nails seemed to have dug into his flesh a bit.

"If I hurt that xiaojie, she'll end my life, right here at this capitol. Her father is the master of the Teng Sect, you know how rich they are? She even paid for my meal. Her parents are so rich my parents could sell me to them if they wanted to buy me. Hurting her is like trying to get assassinated by the Feng and Teng Sect. Let's get out of here," ZiNuo said before grabbing YuHan's hand, running down the street.

They ended up a small dessert restaurant at the end of the main street of the capital. "Are you down for any sweets? My treat!" ZiNuo smiled before they entered the restaurant. They seated down on the ground with a comfortable cotton mat cushioning their legs.

A female waiter came up to them and handed them a list of foods on a paper scroll. "I know what I want already so YuHan, you can pick one." ZiNuo handed the paper scroll to YuHan. YuHan scanned through the list of sweets and came across custard tarts.

"Flower cake."

"Miss, we'll have a bowl of herbal jelly and a plate of flower cake," ZiNuo spoke.

"Coming right up," the waiter smiled and left with the paper scroll.

"Bai Gongzi, why did you order flower cake?"

YuHan Pov:

Flower cake are the only exceptional sweet.

"Mom! What are you making?" I asked while running around the kitchen.

"I'm making our Su Sect's famous dessert, flower cake," mother smiled as she placed a pink color flower on top of each flower cake.

"Why are you putting flowers on top?"

"It's going to make it smell like flowers, isn't this also the reason why you like them?"

"Anything mother makes, I like!" I shouted.

"My mother made flower cake," I replied before I took a sip of tea.

"Your mother made you flower cake? How did they taste? Can you describe it?" YuHan looked at ZiNuo, but never replied, continued to drink the tea in his hand. Minutes later the dishes arrived and ZiNuo used a spoon and started to eat the herbal jelly. YuHan took a flower cake and took a bite out of it. The taste of delicious and sweet filling that carried a faint scent of flowers. What YuHan thought of was the memories of his mother. He felt like smiling, yet his eyes were starting to water. "Does the flower cake not suit your taste?" ZiNuo asked.

"No, it just tastes similar to my mother's." YuHan took another bite.

"Well, I guess we'll come here often since you like it. It's so hard to find something you like other than steamed buns and tea."

After YuHan finished his plate of flower cake, he went up to the waiter, "Miss, who makes flower cake here?"

"Oh our boss, Miss Su."

"Can you show me where she is?" The waiter led him to the back of the restaurant where there was a huge kitchen. There was an old grandma baking sweets all alone.

"Miss Su, someone is here to see you," the waiter said. Miss Su turned around to see YuHan.

"What brings you here young man?" Miss Su asked.

"How did you make these flower cakes almost exactly like my mother?"

"Who is your mother?" she asked as she got the fresh-baked sweets out of a huge wooden container.

"My mother's name is Su MuHui."

"Oh young miss, she's from the Su Sect like me so, of course, she'll make something similar to mine," she smiled.

"You mean the whole Su Sect knows how to make them?" YuHan asked.

"Only the females of the Su Sect can make flower cakes that carry a faint scent of flowers. Though each person's baked goods vary in smell."

"Can you tell me the flowers she used?" YuHan asked.

"That I don't know, you'll have to find it yourself, sorry Bai Gongzi," she said before going back to her sweets. He felt a sudden pain in his shoulders and he used his hand to cover his shoulder, hoping the magic would numb the pain for now. He walked out of the kitchen and back to ZiNuo who was paying at the counter.

"Ay Bai Gongzi, I saw a crowd over there, you want to check it together," ZiNuo asked as he ran up to YuHan, grabbed his hand, and ran out of the restaurant.
