Prologue: Across the Forgotten River

"That's the twentieth bowl of forgotten soup I've given you. Young man, what can you not forget after twenty bowls?" the old lady sighed as she watched the man with white hair, who held a bowl in his right hand. He stared at his bowl awaiting another scoop.

"I remember him…" His eyes turned glassy from the thought of this man he mentioned.

"Move on young man, at this point I'm going to run out of soup! Why not try walking through the forgotten river. Maybe when you reach the end you would forget everything you wanted to forget." The old lady was in a hurry as the line to her shop got relatively longer. "Go go go!" She pushed the young man towards the rails of the bridge. "Jumping down here and walking to the end, would you? It would save you and me some time," she pointed towards the direction of the moon.

The young man did not hesitate, he jumped off the bridge, and started walking.

He had countless thoughts about the same person, but that very person would be forgotten when he arrives at the end of the river.
