Night walk

Growing bored in her rooms Celesti soon found herself walking through the same paths she had the first time. It had all felt like a recurring dream at that moment. Yet for an odd moment she felt more at peace. The air had grown more fresh now that the sun down.

Her troubled mind still not allowing her to take a breather from her.

It was already so different from the first time. The first time he hadn't even come to greet her until the day of ceremony. Her mana had lost control the first time as well which had been one of the reasons she had gotten sick after arriving at Soleil. He hadn't even come to check on his future bride's health even then.

With a sigh she mindlessly found herself walking down the paths of the palace garden.

It would do no good to repeatedly think about the already passed situation. She can't do anything about it now. The only solution was to keep avoiding him.

With a determined expression she nodded her head to herself clenching her hand in determination. Her eyes widening as she glanced around astonished how far into the garden she had actually walked without noticing.

Following the faint sound of water she found herself standing in front of a large fountain. Her mouth slightly opening with an awe expression at the beauty of it. The fountain was much taller than her, hovering almost seven-eight feet. What made it so beautiful in her eyes was the large golden staute standing above it. Appearing to be hovering over where the water was flowing out stood a golden staute of Soleil's spirt deity. The large golden bird had its large wings stretched out as if to take flight. It's piercing eyes were ruby stones with another smaller ruby in the center of its forehead. It's long beauty tail seemed to curl around the fountain as its golden feathers gleamed with the descending water droplets.

As Celesti stared up at the staute she felt a sense of timid awe. It almost felt like the staute itself was staring right at her. Clenching her hand over her fist she stared at the bird's ruby eyes before jumping back at the sound of a birds cry.

Lifting her head her eyes widen as a red bird flew over her. The tips of its feathers tinted in a much more golden color appearing like flames itself. With another cry the the bird bird landed on one of the lower branches of a near by tree. It's silver eyes stared straight at Celesti as it let out another cry. Stepping closer Celesti's eyes stopped in alarm as she had finally taken notice of the person who had been resting against it.

There resting with his back against the tree was the emperor himself. She knew she should have left as soon as she noticed by it was her curiosity that begged her to stay. This had to be the first time she had actually seen the emperor asleep. Even back then they had never once shared a bed together so there had never been a moment she had taken in his relax form.

There breathing evenly, the emperor asleep appeared much more gentle than she had seen him before. Fully taking in his appearance she couldn't deny he was attractive. Out of his formal royal clothes he wore white robes with gold lining. A sash tying it together as his tan golden sun kissed skin stood out against it. His body looked more muscular wearing the robe. Gold cuff bracelets decorated his wrists matching the one around his neck. His face appeared more delicate as thick lashes brushed against his cheeks. His lips slightly plumed as they gasped slightly in his sleep. His hair that he had inherited from his mother appeared almost glowing under the moon light. Long strands of pure white hair, reminding Celesti of the fresh snow in Celestia.

The same white hair and tan that cause the fallen nobles to rite against the past Empress. The Empress that tainted the royal blood line.

Empress Akila.
