Yu Xiaogang

In the Douluo Continent, in Heaven Dou Empire, near its capital, Heaven Dou City, it stood a great mansion surrounded by different buildings. From the mansion, you could know that important people lived there. In a place like the Douluo continent where strength is the most important, there wasn't any doubt that this was a place with great powerful people living there. Even each guard being at least Spirit Grandmaster in rank.

This place was the headquarters of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, one of the 7 great clans of Heaven Dou Empire, even being one of the upper 3, the Sky Clear Clan and the Seven Treasure Clan the others 2. The could obtain this great position thanks to their spirit which the majority of direct descendants had the Blue Tyrant Lightning Dragon, considered as the most powerful beast spirit of all the continent, thanks to its dragon properties, gaining great strength. Thanks to their spirits, they obtained this reputation and even the clan head of the clan arrived at the Titled Douluo rank, being now as Lightning Tyrant Douluo, permitting the clan its position of the 3 upper ones.

In a library of the mansion, you could find a small cute boy, of seemingly 6 years old. He had black hair, typical of the mainline of the Blue Lightning Clan, with big round brown eyes. His name was Yu Xiaogang, he was the youngest son of the actual heir of the clan, Yu Tianhe, and the grandson of the clan head, Yu Xiaome. He had a 3 years older brother named Yu Tiandong. As can be observed by their names, in the clan it was normal to name the first-born son with the name of Tian.

Today was a special day for Xiaogang, it was his Spirit Awakening Day. Xiaogang was an unusual child. He was considered a quiet boy who preferred to read a book rather than play outside. He was loved very much by his parents who let him indulge in his books. Since little Xiaogang had it easy to learn anything and always wanted to gain more knowledge. He learned to walk, talk and especially read much early than other kids of his age. As wisdom was considered to have a relation to spirit talent, his family had high hopes in him.

Xiaogang laying on the ground, with a pen in his left handwriting some notes while being surrounded by a lot of opened books laying around. The notes explained that in Douluo Continent, children at the age of 6 participate in a ceremony to awaken their spirit. It's a very, if not the most, important event for their life, dictating what will be their way from now on. It's very important to have a good spirit as there's a relation between quality and spirit energy.

Spirit energy, is the energy used by some spirits to grow in strength. When a spirit is awakened it has the possibility of having innate spirit energy, in that case, it means that this child could cultivate in the future. When awakening your innate spirit energy it can be from 0 to 10, with a higher spirit rank comes to greater talent. Once someone arrives at 10, he will need to kill a spirit beast, beast that cultivated with spirit energy for a long time, to break through the next realm, becoming a Spirit Master. Spirit masters being the most prestigious of the profession, people with god-like power.

Only a very little percentage of people could be cultivated, and people with talent were only born in already known powerful families with strong spirit masters. A person with a normal parent being capable of cultivating it was extremely strange, that he had good talent, it was seldom listening. This made the powerful families to always keep their top position.

Xiaogang frowned, the books in this library explained very little. Each new knowledge only created more questions that seemed to not be answered by anyone. Xiaogang had read a lot of the book here, and the truth is that most of them weren't very useful. The books that his family suggested to read, were about how to train their spirit, it explained how to cultivate, but in all of them, there was a thing lacking, the why. Xiaogang wanted to know the why of these things, when he asked around, the people smiled at him saying that he was a very curious child and answered that the things are like this. Xiaogang wanted to know it all, he thought that with the knowledge he will improve cultivating, doing more effective.

"Xiao Xiao, where are you?" I warm voice was listened outside in the corridor. "I'm here, mama!" shouted Xiaogang.

A very beautiful woman entered the library, she was slim, had long blue hair, brown warm eyes, and very white fair skin. This woman was Xiaogang's mother, Yu Meng. You mustn't be fooled by her looks, she was a powerful Spirit Emperor with only 30 something years. As the wife of the clan's head, she needed to have good talent and a spirit related to dragons or lightning.

She took Xiaogang in her arms and hugged him tightly "You spent too much time here, you should try to play outside a little with the other children"

"They're boring and too childish" Revoked Xiaogang.

Meng flicked her free hand at Xiaogang's forehead "They have 6 years, like you! It's normal to be childish" She then lightly kissed in the same place "Let's go. The Awakening Ceremony is prepared, are you nervous?"

Xiaogang said a little worried "What will happen if I don't have talent?"

Meng smiled at him "It won't matter, mama will be always at your side". Xiaogang less worried smiled brightly at her. Then both of them left the library.

Xiaogang's dream was to become strong to travel around the continent, learning all that he could, discovering the secrets of the world, even what hid beyond the continent. At his young age, he already knew that he would need power if he wanted to go to places where nobody went before.

They left the mansion towards an old white building made of marble. This building was the place where all the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan awakened their spirits. At the door, there was a boy, about 10 years old, he resembled an older Xiaogang with similar black hair, the most notable difference would be his black eyes.

The black-haired boy seeing them approaching frowned "The bookworm was about to be late to awaken, surely he lost time reading some useless books"

Xiaogang blushed a little, the boy right in what he was doing, but it also make him angry when the boy insulted the books. Even if the majority were useless, the boy hadn't read them so he didn't have the right to talk bad.

"Dong Dong, don't tease your brother," said Meng. The boy was Yu Tiandong, the older brother of Xiaogang.

Xiaogang showed his tongue in mockery gaining a growl from Tiandong. Tiandong and Xiaogang didn't have a very cordial sibling relation. As Xiaogang was growing, Tianding feed up of people comparing his little brother from him, how he could learn everything faster.

"Let's enter, your dad should be waiting," Meng said freeing Xiaogang from her embrace leaving him on the ground. She held a hand of each boy and the three entered the building.

Inside, all the building was made of marble, all white with golden decoration. On the floor were some strange symbols. Xiaogang was curious about these patterns, but the truth was that even the elders of his clan wouldn't know exactly how the work. They were old runes passed long ago, necessary for the Awakening Ceremony.

There were 5 people inside, a handsome man with long black hair and black eyes who was Xiaogang's father and the actual heir of the clan, Yu Tianhe. The others also had the usual black hair and different features, being Xiaogang's uncles.

The Spirit Awakening Ceremony of the mainline was very important, as it could be the time of the birth of a legend. There was also the fact that the first time manifesting a spirit it was a special one that could even help to stronger spirit masters to breakthrough. As the son of the clan's heir, it was normal to have 5 people for his awakening.

His uncles looked at Xiaogang curiously, waiting to see his talent. It must be said that Tiandong was considered a genius, having the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon spirit with an innate spirit of 8. They were looking forward to seeing Xiaogang's spirit. Thinking in the prosperous future of the clan.

Tianhe smiled at his son and signaled him to step forward. Xiaogang looked at his mother one more time and let her hand, stepping to the formation.

The formation was a combination of runes and patterns with a circle formed by 6 black rocks. Tianhe seeing his son stepping in the formation, extended his arm, thunder started to form around him and rings started appearing around his body, two in each extremity for a total of 8. Tianhe was a Spirit Douluo, with 2 yellow rings, 2 purple rings, and 4 black ones.

The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon was a special spirit. Usually, beast spirits manifest in a somewhat phantasm form at the back of the user and to transform their body completely they will need to add a ring with that effect. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon didn't invoke this phantasm, and their transformation start being partial until the can do it fully, it depended on their training and strength, not always linked with its rings. In the clan is considered that the early one can change some part the greater talent. This transformation called Dragonification.

Tianhe controlled his pressure to not affect his son and pushed spirit power toward the 6 black stones. The stone started to shine and started to float, then they spin around Xiaogang.

Xiaogang could sense a strange energy flowing for his body, moving around like trying to find something. After some time his right arm started to shine.

A blinding light surged from Xiaogang, causing the attendants to close their eyes. When the light faded and they opened their eyes. They could see that Xiaogang didn't experiment any change, the usual being the appearance of Lightning, marking the child with a lightning mark

in some part.

The change was beside Xiaogang. In front of him, a little golden beast had appeared, it resembled a puppy of a dog, with long ears and a cute nose, it had the tongue out while happily moving its tail "Woof!" it barked.

This unexpected situation made all in the hall blink. This was clearly Xiaogang's spirit, a never seen one. It was difficult to know the potential of it. Tianhe started discussing with his brother and cousins in low voice.

Xiaogang in contrast with the other had a very curious look on his face, and he alternated his sight from the puppy to his left hand. Knowing that the sensation in his left hand was unusual, Xiaogang decided to tell to his father.

"Papa, my left ha..." But before he could even finish his sentence his brother interrupted signaling him "Ha. I knew it, he is trash. How can be compared that weak pup with our great dragon spirit" he said smiling at the in his opinion misfortune, finally overcoming his little brother in talent, thinking that Xiaogang would never reach his level.

At Tiandong's voice, the adults stopped talking in low voice "How could such spirit appear?" "It must be a mutation, looking at it a bad one. Who would know its limits" "It's not even a beast spirit, some kind of tool in the form of an animal? I doubt it's strength" "How can it be compared with our great dragon spirit?"

"Silence!" shouted Tianhe stopping the other conversation. He approached his son and rubbed his hair "Don't worry. Even if it's not my spirit, I'm sure that with your intelligence you will arrive far" he reassured causing Xiaogang who was worried by the other's word to smile.

Tianhe took a blue marble and gave it to his son "Recall your spirit and put energy in it" This marble was a Spirit Detector, according to the brightness of it when infused with spirit energy, it is possible to know the rank of the person who infused it.

Xiaogang took the marble and nodded. He looked at the pup, the pup staring back at him. At that moment Xiaogang learned the name of his spirit, Luo San Pao. He wanted to withdraw and the pup was absorbed to his left hand. He concentrates in the marble on his hands and almost automatically he sensed something flowing from him to the marble.

The marble shined with a bright blue light that caused the others at the room to their mouths to fall shocked "Full Innate Spirit Power!" someone shouted. "Maybe it is not so trash" "How can Full Innate be trash? This is the mark of a genius!"

Xiaogang turned smiled happily, he turned back seeing his brother frowning and her mother smiling face. He ran to hug his mother "I will become strong, I will discover a lot of things, making my name known eternally" he was so excited than he even forgot of his left-hand sensation.
