Chapter 156: Underworld Auction

[Holvart Port Town]

Along the way in one of the roads in the port town, Kaido decided to take a stroll around the town to get himself familiarize on the in and outs of the town

Apparently staying it as secret and personal movement was tough since Ingrid has an ability to see the ulterior motives of an person, cause of that Ingrid insisted that he should bring her with him in case something happened that make Kaido decide to destroy the port town

Since Ingrid was allowed to come with him, it was obvious enough that Sarah wanted to come since she is Ingrid's personal guard along the trip and the safety of Ingrid rest upon her shoulders

Due to that surprisingly Melfina also showed up as she insisted to join them, thus Kaido had to take a stroll around the port town with a princess of a kingdom, almost stern and non-sociable bodyguard, and an overly cautious assassin

Turns out being all secretive was hard as both Sarah and Melfina stood out as they acted as guards for the both of them

"Hehehe! Sorry about this, I know you want it to be covert but this just kills that meaning" apologized Ingrid

"And who's fault is that is?" Asked Kaido as he eyed Ingrid

Hearing that Ingrid drooped her head down as she said

"I'm really sorry"

Soon as they continued to stroll it didn't take long until they finally managed to circle the whole town and decided to return to the house of Sui's mother

As they returned along the way Kaido somehow notices the glimmering shine of the Pearl and the embedded jewelry that he brought for her

When he observed those two jewelry, he found out that for some reason those two jewelry even thought it's already been long since they've been bought, they still somehow shine like brand new

"You really took care of those" praised Kaido

At first Ingrid was confused on what Kaido was referring to until she soon found out that he was referring towards the jewelries that he bought for her

"This? Ah yes... . . Well I did personally took care of them, even though this are not my first jewelry, it was my most prey ones since for the first time someone gave them to me by the person I quite knew" she said as she beamed him up with a huge smile

Even thought irritated by that bright smile, Kaido still replied to her just to remind her

"Ingrid... . . We've been already through this... . ."

"I know! I know!... . . That's why I'll wait, no matter how long I'll wait" she said as she smiled on the horizon

Completely ignoring this scene which was apparent to a important scene if it was tagged as an Otome game, Kaido deliberately ignored such a scene which was dreamed by many normal simp as he walks away

"Huh?... . . Your leaving just like that?" Asks Ingrid in full of surprise

"I don't need an ability to see through ulterior motives to know that you deliberately did that to cause a mood change which would force any man to fall for a woman... . . I'm not that simple doofus" stated Kaido

"Even thought I don't know what that means, I feel like that was an insult... . . But I did make you flutter for a second no?" Slipped Ingrid as she took a peek at his side with a tilted head that shows cuteness of a playful woman

Staring back at her, Kaido gently sighed as he putted one of his hands on her shoulder and stared at her real hard which made the person in question to jolt in anticipation and surprise

"Stop playing around!!!" Stressed Kaido as he wanted to have a normal stroll but couldn't due to circumstances

"I'm... . . Sorry" apologized Ingrid

After that Kaido continued his walk as he commented

"Looks like you got infected by Rebecca's occasionally annoyingly persistence from time to time" pointed out Kaido

"Huh? I did? Hmm... . . But even if I did got infected, you wouldn't be bothered right? Plus I think being like that has a charm right?" Raised Ingrid as if she's pointing out something

"I don't know and I don't care... . . Let's just return" said Kaido as he gave up arguing

The person herself apparently sneezed at the middle of her sword training

Since the backyard of Sui's mother house was wide and spacious, Rebecca deliberately used this place for her sword practice while far behind her are both mother and child trying to catch up together

While she was training, she apparently heard Sui being proud of what her Papa could do and told her mother about Kaido's ability which doesn't need any incantation nor name whatsoever

Upon hearing her Adventure along the human continent, even Selery herself was surprised by how much eventful the situation on their side, she was also quite surprised about the story when Sui stressed out about that high intense situation wherein Kaido did everything in his power to bring Sui out of the city while fending off the empire

During the story telling the mother was in the end brought at the edge of her seat the moment she heard that her daughter has already experienced being kidnapped by a poachers, targeted by assassins, shackled by a demon, and persued by the empire hero and soldiers

Apparently she noticed that the journey back here wasn't safe as she assumed, but in the end she was relieved that Sui made it back with the person that looks like her father

Soon to reward the child Selery left Sui in her doings as she prepared a snacks for her

Inside the house

When she left Rebecca continued her practice as she remembered all her father has told her to master during the time that Kaido was in a short coma

"Ancestral sword art"

That was said by her father as Marquez Lucio taught her by showing her an image of an sword art through a memory crystal, apparently the sword style was really refined and masterful as she felt like every movements was not a waste at all

She thought that if she mastered such techniques and movements, she would really be able to contend against demons that are strong enough to destroy a small town

Her defeat against the demon commander was still apparent in her memory which pushed her to improve in both magic and sword style, now the news of a powerful Archdemon had brought her to choose the fastest way to become stronger

Thus she pushed to learn and master the sword art that was passed down through generations since the time when gods still walks among men

Holding the scabbard given to her by her father and was introduced as a sword by her ancestors, she slowly slide it open and showed it to the world for the very first time in a long while

The sword was apparently made out of blue metal which has a high edge design intricate for her appearance and has a fine sharp edge till the tip of its sword even though it wasn't sharpened for a long time

The sword however has also an intricate name passed down by her ancestors and called as "Frost Sakura", she soon found out that this particular sword has also clashed against the first hero this catching the Hero's eye and was named by the other worlder after one of its native flower

The sword was also a type of magic sword which has attribute for ice magic which surprised her even more, with every swing she brought down, she could almost feel as if power swelled up rising

With her long experience as a swordswoman coupled with her training in enhancing magic, she was sure that it will not be long till she mastered the techniques of the sword

Firstly she did a immediately zigzag slash infront of her followed by a back swing and a huge jump back, imagining that there were an opponent infront of her, she quickly dashed ahead and did a quick succession of slashes that would make anyone force to block

This time she started to make the flow of Mana coarse through her veins and body as if enveloping her of with the Mana of the sword

Holding the sword horizontally she did a few one hand slashes before she flipped it over and stabbed the tip of the sword toward the ground which made a small thick ice spreads out beneath the sword

Such practices was taught to her by her father and now she kept practicing this for atleast almost a three weeks now

As she did this she found Sui silently whispering and giggling at the small plant beside her

When she was about to ask her however, she saw something incredible and shocking that it stunned her and her mother that came out of the door

A huge amount of Mana was being poured out of Sui as she held out her small hands towards the plant, her Mana however was colored green which later on made the plant to extend it's vines across the ground and flowers and leaf started to spread out not long after

In contrast to her mother's siren magic, Sui's magic however has an affinity for nature magic which was only supposed to be held out by elven race

A Siren race that has affinity with nature magic was unheard off, even though Kaido has somewhat similar to elemental magic, Sui's magic however was far more complex that the former as she deliberately could control nature itself

Immediately she rushed out the door to inform Kaido when apparently she bumped into him right outside the doorway causing both of them to stumble

"Oi! What the heck? Watch where your going!!!" Grumbled Kaido

In congrats to that however Rebecca immediately called him out

"Kaido! Kaido! Kaido!... . .sususu... . . Sui she... . ."

Fearing that something happened to Sui with him gone the four of them Kaido, Ingrid, Sarah, and Melfina immediately charged inside

But when they entered they were surprised by the scene of plants seemingly like hugging Sui who somehow was controlling it

Glancing at the shocked Selery, kaido couldn't help but laugh wryly as he saw that Sui can control plants

"She... . . She has affinity for nature magic"

When Rebecca voiced that out, the four of them was shocked by the news of Sui's magic awakening

"This... . . This is crazy! This day is crazy!" Muttered kaido as he saw that the Mana flow seemed to have quietened down

As Sui's Mana quietened down, a slam of door was heard as Pablo run up to inform Kaido of something in a hurry

"Kaido-sama! Kaido-sama! Kaido-sama! I have something to tell you... . . Oh what the heck is that!?!?!?!?!"

As soon as Pablo stormed in to inform Kaido, he was immediately surprised by the huge plant that protruded out of the ground seemingly looked like embracing Sui

Soon he was informed that it was nature magic which stunned him, but apparently his news was even more important

"Kaido-sama!!! I found a pass that will be given out, this pass is a pass towards the border of the elven nation... . . With this you can freely pass inside they're border without much problem" he said

Hearing this Kaido's eyes was suddenly widened as he felt that everything was going to his plan

"And this pass is called elven sigil will be auctioned tonight!!! So put on your best suit and bring your best lady, cause your going high class for this auction... . . Don't worry about the money, I can handle the expense" stated Pablo as he gave a wink at him

With this Kaido held up his hand as if surrendering and totally muttered under his breath

"Yup! This day is totally crazy!"
