Chapter 216: Nation's Conference & Meeting of the Heroes II

As the tension in the room gets heavier between two people, both King Emperor Ergo and Queen Vivian immediately intervened to specify the two
"Hero-sama! We're here to talk to the other leaders, not cause trouble"
"Horus!"
as both of them called out to their targeted person, both the Raguel and Horus backed away even though both of them seemed ready to lounge at the other at any given moment
"My apologies" said Horus as he returned to his previous state
"You should learn how to respect people who are stronger than you" said Raguel as he returned to his seat
"Child! I know a lot about you, than you ever realized" replied Horus
"Don't be absurd!"
"I'm not! I'm just stating the fact, and that too in itself is a fact" replied Horus
After hearing that Raguel immediately backed down as he squinted his eyes to focus on Horus
I'm the other hand Horus was so calm that when he relaxed, he always close his eyes and listen, which in turn showed his overflowing confidence
When that was over King Emperor Ergo decided to proceed with the talk
"Shall we return to the topic at hand?" Ask King Emperor Ergo
"Yes! Understood! Let's continue!" Replied Queen Vivian
With that King Emperor Ergo decided to proceed further
"As I was saying, since the three countries received different types of treatment when considering on how.much troublesome are the demons, I would've like you guys to atleast provide some information on how is the battle against the Demon's on your side... . .with it I plan to start by stating our sides situation" stated King Emperor Ergo
"So your trying to pull us in, into your grand scheme by covering it up with the startegy of stating your sides situation? That's kind of like "how to get others trust 101" am I right?" Asked Alduin
With his question Duke Agra immediately answered
"Yes! We are trying to get your trust since if we don't then the enemy might utilize that weakness"
"....."
"If your okay with it, then proceed" said Xyrus
"Understood!" Said King Emperor Ergo
This time for the report of the situation, Duke Agra stood up from his seat and started to deliberate their situation at hand
"Currently at our side since we're far from the Demon's territory, we somehow received a partial demonstration of their power, even though the attacks are kept between solo or army sized attacks, this type of attacks are just predetermined as a way to exhaust is and get information about us" stated Duke Agra
"In this case we believe that the Demon's must have already known the existence of the three Heroes, infact they might have known about this event by other means" said King Emperor Ergo
After hearing that Alduin immediately nodded towards Xyrus, as the latter immediately received his intonation
"Alright! Our turn! Our weapons and forces are much more formidable compared to humans cause of our Beastman traits, but in this aspect we have pushed back any army that attempted to destroy us and most of the times provide an absolute counter attack, the only problem on our side is that since the Beastman Country lands is so wide, it also provided the Demon army a huge space to atleast hide an insurmountable amount of them" stated Xyrus
"Traveling back and forth is quite tiring especially since we don't have mounts that could fly" said Alduin
"Eh? Don't your land have griffons?" Asks Duke Agra
"We do have them, but the danger of capturing one is quite troublesome, plus it's not like we can afford a griffon on any soldiers we want, such creatures are quite hostile to others, if you put it on Adventurers terms then one griffon could exactly kill a lot of you before you guys could persuade it to obey you... . . Of course the results would be different if the Hero themselves would move, but what about the others? If we weight the pro's to con's the loss would still be astronomical compared to the gains, so we left them out" added Alduin
"I see... . ." Replied Duke Agra as he pondered about that fact
But even after this he regained his composure as they all turned towards the last side, the elven side to provide their information about the Movements on their side
"As for us... . . The attacks, how do I say it... . . Quite bloody" said Queen Vivian
"Bloody?" Asked Alduin
"Just how bloody?" Added Xyrus
"... . . The demons on our side are more aggressive, it's like their putting their back into it to absolutely destroy our race, good thing is that in our battles, we always have the geographical advantage, so if we apply it by charging towards them, then that would be a different story" said Queen Vivian
"Every month, many corpses could be found on the battlefield of that came from both sides, but since the peace was kept all this while for a thousands of years, our numbers was somehow you could say astronomical, not to mention the other species that are living together with us" she added
"The most instense of all are the battles on the borders since two sides are trying to atleast gain advantage over the others, it's like a bloody massacre... . . But the most terrifying blow we received was that the enemy was able to intrude the magic barrier we erupted and manage to attack the heart of our operation in other words kingdom" said Elijah
"So that means you primarily received a direct assault" said Alduin
"Yes! And in huge numbers at that" replied Elijah"
"I see you have it rough more than us" said Alduin
"No it's beyond rough since our enemy are blood sucking vampires that has a huge boost in strength, cunningness, and speed" said Elijah
This time Queen Vivian interjected in
"But we did received a really disturbing news from one of our kind that volunteered to enter the Demon's territory"

After hearing that all of them became alerted at Queen Vivian's words as Raguel immediately commented
"Someone actually went inside their territory without any army to back them up? That's quite reckless on your side! We know that they have people that could force anyone to divulge information about us to them through force, so why did you risk that thing on a single unit? Aren't you elves using your head?" Complained Raguel
With that comment Elijah immediately shot a glare at Raguel as he said
"We are using our head!, It's just that we have trust on that person as such we can comfortably rely on that particular person"
"Trust? You based everything in trust? Such childish and immature way of thinking!!! Didn't you know? Trust is one thing that could lead to death and betrayal, now your telling me that you based everything on one person through a bond of trust? Are you freaking out of your mind?" Exclaimed Raguel as he slammed his hands on the table
"What!?!?! You! You better watch your words" said Elijah as he is getting pissed off cause of Raguel's self-importance aspect
"You clearly aren't worthy of a Hero title if your not even capable of deciding on who you can control or not" said Raguel
"Control? Are you thinking of the people that helped you as a pawn in which you can just throw away?" Asked Elijah in pure rage
"What if I am?"
"You... . . Your a piece of trash"
"Well your not worthy of being a Hero"
This time due to Raguel's self-superior thinking, he actually provoke Elijah who value allies than just using them as a pawn of war
Boht Raguel And Elijah are like oil and water as they both contradict each other, unfortunately Elijah wasn't the only one that was getting irritated
"You... . . Human! Shut up!" Bellowed Alduin as he glared at Raguel
"Are you glaring at me?"
"Yes I am! Don't think that I forgot what you did back then 8 months ago"
When Raguel pondered about that situation, he suddenly remembered what happened during that time as he somehow arched a mocking smile on his face
"Are you telling me that your that pathetic hero that can't even withstood one of my attacks? Hahahaha! I see it's been that long" mocked Raguel
"You! Are you telling me that you forgot about me since I'm just like a nobody to you?" Asked Alduin
"No your wrong! I'm not thinking about that to you, but rather to all of you!"

"For me! I'm way above than all of you, whether you like it or not, I slowly regain my original strength day by day, and the day of my completion Is near, compared to that I believe that you lot are insignificant" said Raguel
"Oh really? I see... . .looks like I have to forcefully implant your arrogance unto you" said Alduin
As he said that Alduin immediately stood up and conjured weaponry on his arms, while as for Raguel, he suddenly turned to his battle form as wings grew out behind his back and the holy armor shining in brightness
As for Elijah he simply stood infront of his mother as he activated all of his emergency buffs and cheats, but nevertheless the system was still warning him about the two heroes as the two prior to him are also cheat like characters like him
Nevertheless Horus suddenly released some pressure unto them which forcefully disrupted the growing hostility and turned their gaze at the old man that was sitting calmly
As for that Queen Vivian immediately called out
"I thinks it's appropriate if we have a break first? Since the tension seemed to climb up whenever there's conflict of own beliefs and understanding"
With her words the other two sides immediately conceded as they pulled themselves back and answered
"Sure thing! Let's take a break! For a moment... . . Return after thirty minutes of break"
With that one by one the people suddenly left the room until only the Empire's side was left
As for the Elven's side when they exited the door, they somehow accidentally passed by Jake which caught their attention and called him out
"Excuse me! May I ask you something?" Asks Queen Vivian
"Yes? How may I help you?" Asks Jake
"Are you acquaintaned with a guy named Kaido?"
"Kaido?!?!"
The moment the name of Kaido was mentioned Jake's eyes suddenly constricted before returning to its usual state
"I don't know such guy" he answered before leaving
When he left the other two also wondered about that and came into conclusion themselves
"Looks like that guy has sent someone to spy on the empire, I'm impressed by how much bold that guy is, but I'm more impressed to the spy's determination even though such job was a sure meant suicide" said Horus
"He must have his reasons... . . But we don't know how long have this been going on, but atleast we know that he's keeping an eye to the Empire's movement" said Queen Vivian
"Hoh!?!? Your acknowledging him?" Asked Horus
"No more like I'm interested on what he would do next since he's actually a cunning person" replied Queen Vivian
As they were talking Elijah suddenly muttered something
"Wolf in sheep's clothing"
"Huh?"
"What did you say?"
After hearing him both Queen Vivian and Horus seemed interested on that term
"I think Sui's papa is using a tactic of Wolf in sheep's clothing, it's where you plant a wolf among sheep's observe them up close" said Elijah
"Hmm! Interesting... . . " Said Queen Vivian
"Indeed" added Horus
"Well with that we can conclude that the person named Kaido wasn't staying idle at all, he's actually keeping track of everyone's movements and making sure he is leading them the way he wanted them to act... . . "
When Queen Vivian stated that, she somehow came into conclusion herself as she suddenly asked them
"Then if that's the case doesn't it mean that all this time Kaido was making them think that they can beat him to make their guard on him loose a little, after all it is common for one person to put their guard down on creatures weaker than them"
When she said those words a terrifying Advent suddenly portrayed on their minds as they imagined everything going according to his plan
"If the hero is chasing after him, doesn't that make him a villain? Which is good or which is bad? It's just the matter on how you perceive it... . . If that is his motive then he's been one step ahead of all of us from the very beginning, and we're just playing above his palm and going according to his plan"
When thinking about that, they suddenly felt shivers all over their body as they came to that conclusion
