Chapter 290: War Of Nations XV

[Demon king's Castle]

At the center of the audience room, in between two cloaked persons, Fengris stood between them as he somehow thought that these humans are quite strange due to it's smell

Without answering any of Fengris questions, the Archer cloaked woman immediately pulled the strings on her bow as she pulled back straight and conjured a purple electrified arrow and shot it towards Fengris in a lightning speed

Seeing that Fengris immediately tilted his body to the side to dodge the arrow as he started to rush towards the cloaked Archer woman

On the move the cloaked Archer woman once again pulled her bow as she shot three arrows consecutively towards Fengris

Seeing this Fengris moved to the sides as he continouesly dodge the attacks in lightning speed reaction

Once more the attack failed causing Fengris to close in the distance between the cloaked Archer woman to himself

When Fengris arrived right infront of the cloaked Archer woman, the latter immediately raised her bow towards Fengris and planned to shoot at a zero point blank range

Of course Fengris immediately reacted as he pulled the woman's hand down and gave her a hearty strike to the guts which blew the wan away and crash against the pillars of the room

As Fengris did that he quickly ducked and slid back as the cloaked double swordsman arrived right behind him and slashed out his two swords aiming for his neck

When dodged that attack, for some reason the cloaked double swordsman immediately follow d his movement as the guy used the force of momentum to flipped his body and gave a straight attack at him

Faced with this Fengris immediately transformed his hand into that on a claw as he parried the attacks coming from the cloaked swordsman

As he was busy dealing with the swordsman, the cloaked Archer woman stood up from the debris without uttering any pain at all and shot him a straight arrow

Moving coordinately with the woman, the cloaked swordsman somehow dragged Fengris attention towards himself as he immediately tilted his head, thus letting the arrow to shot pass him and successfully hit Fengris who was caught off guard

At that moment a huge explosion swept the room, thus destroying it's interior arrangements

At that thought as the smoke started to disperse inside the room countless black Lightning suddenly shot out from the smoke and strikes towards both the double swordsman and the Archer woman

Due to that both of the cloaked figure immediately dashed away as they try to either dodge attacks or face them head on, but due to the destructiveness of the black lightning, even a simple spell wouldn't be enough to take care of it

In a moment of peril one lightning strike struck the Archer woman, thus crashing her against the wall paralyzed by the electricity, but as she crashed countless more black light Ning followed suite and strike her multiple times which scorched the area black while the structure crumble no matter how well made are they

As for the double swordman he started blocking such attack using his purple mana and shot out an energy wave toward the smoke, but as the energy wave makes it's way to the back, another counter force actually destroyed such power as Fengris dashed out from the smoke with some features of being a Fenrir showed on his body

His ears, hands, legs, tail, eyes, and teeth all changed into that feature of a Fenrir showing that he was using 25% of his capability

With inhumane speed Fengris immediately arrived before the cloaked double swordsman and slashed out his claws at him, whole the latter countered with his sword causing sparks to flash from the collision

With constricted eyes Fengris immediately mov d once more as he slashed out again only to be blocked

Stepping up his game Fengris launched multiple fast attacks towards the claimed double swordsman and slashed continouesly, while the latter tried it's best countering each of the lightning speed attack

Bit by bit the double swordman was getting overwhelmed by such speed that he was forced to use its Trump card as a holy light descended upon him and somehow had changed his aura in an instant giving him the boost that he wanted

Stepping up the double swordsman then once more led the attack as he slashed out multiple strikes towards Fengris in one breath

Sensing the changed Fengris still scoffed at such change as he blocked the attack with his magic

"Lightning barrier!"

"Destructive take!"

Swiping up a huge force of wind Fengris pushed the double swordsman back against the wall once more and immediately reacted to the shot that was secretly launched by the Archer woman behind her

Taking the arrow that she shot by hand and stopping it's advance by force Fengris instantly applied Enhancement on such arrow before him

"Penetration enhancement!"

"Strength enhancement!"

"Speed Enhancement!"

"Power enhancement x20!"

"After effect enhancement!"

"Destructiveness enhancement!"

"Spells durability Enhancement!"

Of course Fengris did all of this enhancement on the arrow of the enemy in a split second before using his Fenrir's strength and sound around as he threw back the arrow towards the Archer woman

Of course with all that enhancement in one go that wasn't visible to the naked eye, the cloaked Archer woman tried to shot down the arrow that was returned to her using multiple spells without knowing such fact

Due to that no matter how hard she tried the arrow struck her nonetheless but caused a huge destruction on the area that it destroyed the one section of the room thus, shaking the whole castle

The explosion of course attracted the attention of the Demon king's army thus alerting them that the king is under attack, causing swarm after swarm of Demon's to charge back to the castle

Taking care of that Fengris eyesight immediately moved at the double swordsman who was moving at a lightning speed on every corner of the room before striking him in a flash

Barely dodging such an attack Fengris immediately uses a powerful gale force unto his fist and struck an uppercut towards.the double swordsman, thus sending him flying away

While midair Fengris moved as swiftly and fast as possible before strengthening his muscles and pulled the double swordsman's ankle as he threw him to the ground in one breath

Creating a crater due to the crash, Fengris voided of Mercy raised his hand as black lightning gather unto his palm before he threw it towards the double swordsman

"Calamitous lightning!"

At that strike, black lightning shot out from the castle and it's remnants struck the Demon king's army that tried to enter the castle by air

Of course as the swarm gets worse Aileene who was outside coupled with rebels and some human's tried their best to kill off some of the swarm despite it's numbers

At this moment hundreds of bodies had littered the ground beneath Aileene feet

Inside a gigantic arched hall Argos on the other hand was now faced with Belial as both of them seemed relaxed with each other even though they actually had fought against each other before

Facing each other now, both sides already knew the capability of the other, thus causing them to think more rationally especially Belial who seemed more cunning and smarter than the rest of the four vassals

"Well this is kind of a surprise don't you think so?" Asked Belial

"Indeed! I didn't expect that I would get separated from our youngest, since of course his head is worth millions as he is not only fugitive among his kind, he's also a villain in their eyes, if someone kills him that person of course would become rich in an instant" said Argos

"Is it that bad his reputation is? I remembered that he was with the Hero when I first met him... Doesn't being with the hero actually means your reputation is quite good?" Asked Belial in confusion

"Something must have changed in the process, thus turning him this way little Demon" answered Argos

"Is that so?... Indeed time do change people"

With that for quite awhile the whole space turned silent as both sides smiled at each other

"Tell me what shall I call you?"

"???"

"I mean you nicknamed me as a little demon, then atleast I can nickname you since, you have a calling for me right?" Asks Belial

"Hoh!... You don't have to stress yourself you know... Just call me Argos"

"Alright... Then let me ask you... Just who are you?"

"To put it bluntly I'm a being feared by the gods, you can look it up in the history books, even though I lived for more than a thousands of years or more... You can actually see my presence in different histories of the humans and Demon's in different generations... That just how long I've lived, after all dragons have life expectancy of 10,000 years... In other words I'm quite young despite my age of 4320 years"

Hearing that kind of explanation even Belial and Archdemon who have lived long enough was stunned by his words and couldn't utter another word to reply to him

"Surprised?" Asks Argos

At that moment Belial finally laughed as he said

"So in my perspective and the humans perspective, you are an ancient being and yet you call yourself young?" Asks Belial

"Well yes, I've seen the humans and Demon's alike advance and fall generations after generations in their civilization... Do you know why the technology in this world never advances despite it's 35,000 years of life?... It's because the law of nature in this world prevents it from advancing in that direction, it's like a self defense mechanism for the world's survivability... That's the reason why the humans in this world still uses Kingdom's and monarchy rather than buildings and democracy"

"First I've heard of that" smiled Belial

At this moment as both Belial and Argos talked to each other, it seemed like both of them are long timed friends as they exchange information

Since Belial is smart to know that he couldn't win against Argos, he would rather gather as much information as he can before thinking out of a plan

But of course not everything goes your way as a shadow seemed to move in the darkness, obviously this movement didn't escape the sight of both Argos and Belial who were strong in their own suite of ways

"Looks like we got rats inside the room" said Argos as he can smell a different scent inside the room

"Indeed pesky little rats" agreed Belial

As if hiding was meaningless two cloaked figures appeared behind Belial and Argos

One was cloaked from head to toe which is quite lean but buffed in his own way, while the other was a cloaked figure which was holding unto a sycthe on his shoulders emitting radiant purple glow in them, thus looking like a grim reaper

"I can't sense any Mana on them" commented Belial

"Looks like we got some troublesome people in our way" replied Argos as both of them looked back at the cloaked figures on either sides

At this moment Kaido was walking down the hallway once more as he found a door so big and somehow has engravings on it which represented a book

As if the strings of faith was pulling unto him, he then nonchalantly pushed the door open slowly

At that moment the Demon king reacted at the door opening in the room as he himself was busy reading unto the book

As for Kaido he seemed to see a figure by the window as he smiled evilly at the person himself

"I've been in countless struggles and battles throughout the months which apparently turned years... And now it seems like it's about to end in somewhat unexpected way" said Kaido

Feeling that a figure was approaching him from behind the Demon king couldn't help but laugh at the weird situation as he said

"Looks like my time has come... Are you here to kill me?"

"I'm going to kill you nice and slowly"

"I'm sure your going to kill me right? Asuto?" Said the demon king

"I'm going to kill you wretched damned angel" growled Kaido

At this moment as if the two different rooms overlapped the Demon king was now faced against Asuto, while Kaido was going against Raguel who seemed to be spacial distorted to this room

And thus the truth of the war will soon reveal itself to the world
