The next day, there was nothing out of ordinary from the daily routine of Lilia together with Kaido. After attending her classes, she then would head towards Shelly and Alessandro in order to meet up and tackle down another dungeon for the day.

This time however Kaido often times can be seen leaving out on exploring the dungeon even deeper. After his initial experience in his first dungeon, he then concluded that the dungeon itself wasn't the way that would let him go back to his original world.

Even thought the dungeon is a type of other worldly plain, it is still somewhat comparable to an isolated space. A type of space that has neither entrance nor exit for creatures beyond its scope of influence. His arrival in this world through the dungeon is a type of unique occurrence that would need a miracle to actually make it happen.

Because of that scrapped the idea of returning to his world through the dungeon off his mind. After all it is more practical to say that space exploration using rockets is much more feasible transport rather than relying to an unstable crack in space. As long as he cannot figure out how to leave this planet, he will be stuck on this world as a foreigner.

Even thought there were no incidents for the past few days, Kaido couldn't help but feel an itch at the back of his neck as he felt the gazes of people from afar. Through the use of his own personal radar, he then found the culprit for such chill as he simply observe the situation. Since the culprit wasn't making a move, then he had no reason to intervene and take out the people down.

Plus based on the trajectory of their line of sight, it seems like he wasn't the target for such gaze, but rather Lilia herself, which baffled him.

For all he knows, Lilia is a type of girl who always likes to be smiling all the time. She's free spirited and often times can show emotions on her face clearly for anyone to recognize. She was also easy going and somewhat humble and kind. With such trait, it was quite hard for him to imagine such a woman would dare to offend another person or group.

But such a possibility cant be taken for granted. After all despite knowing her for a couple of days already, Kaido is somewhat skeptical towards her as he barely knows anything about her at all. He doesn't know her past nor the her inner secret as a matter of fact.

With that it wouldn't be an exaggeration if someone told him that Lilia offended numerous black market members.

A few hours later, Lilia together with Shelly and Alessandro then finally exited the dungeon as they each gave a small talk before walking away in different direction. Naturally Kaido follo9wed Lilia as he asked for her current situation and inquire the events that happened inside the dungeon. Of course with such question, Lilia happily told him everything that happened as they walked side by side along the street of the city.

About thirty minutes later when they were finally going down a slope from the place they came from and the sun had finally set, a dense fog suddenly filled the place, as the light of the moon even gave an eerie feeling of the night. Due to this Lilia quickly caught up to such weird phenomenon as she raises her alertness and looked around at her surroundings.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, she somehow wasn't able to react fast enough , until the moment the fog had already surrounded her. With the help from the system, she then realized that the fog was a type of skill related phenomenon, which give away the fact that someone was targeting them.

With her vigilance rising up at an all time high, Lilia then slowly pulled out her dagger as she observed Kaido's reaction towards such fog. Surprisingly the person himself seemed a bit calm and expectant as if he knew something about this sudden phenomenon. Due to that she couldn't help but have this urge to ask him what was currently happening.

But before she could ask him, a silhouette suddenly appeared before the fog , which caused her to turn her attention towards such figure and held up her weapon.

"Who's there? Who are you?"

As she asked this question, Lilia expected a response to come, as she glared back to wards the silhouette of a person at the bottom of the slope. However instead of answering, the silhouette itself raise up a long weapon from its storage space and threw a bits of knife towards her direction.

As the knives zoom  towards her, Lilia quickly deflected those knives with her dagger, as she crouched to the ground and charged towards her at the next moment. But the moment she got close, the long weapon on its hand finally move as its tip actually struck her chin, causing her to be open from the various combo that the enemy had initiated.

After dealing out a combo, the silhouette then slammed its long staff towards Lilia, as it sent the latter crashing to the ground and coughing out a mouthful of breath.

After wards, the silhouette rushed towards her as it raises its staff way above its head, before slamming it down towards her with no hesitation at all. In response to that, Lilia used her dagger to block the attack, which cause a huge shockwave and blast away the small portion of the fog around them.

In that moment of face reveal, Lilia finally recognized her attacker, as confusion and wariness dread over her face. After all she clearly recognized the person that was currently attacking her. The person itself was a classmate of Lilia in her academy.

The moment Lilia realizes the person right in front of her as someone familiar, her confidence begun to waver a bit as she cant believe that someone who was familiar to her would actually dare to try and target her. Through that, Lilia then pushed herself away from her for about a few blocks away, as she begun to question her attacker.

"Why? Why are you attacking me?"

Hearing her question, Edelene then responded.

"Simple! its just for personal reason"

"Reason? Personal reason? I don't even remember offending you? what did i ever do to you?"

"You didn't do anything directly towards me, but it did affect me on some scale"

As Lilia continue to listen to her words, more confusion sprout out on her mind as she tried to piece everything together to make up a plausible reason for such an assault.

"I... I don't understand..."

"You don't have to understand"

"... What about your twin sister then? does she know this? does she know that your trying to kill someone who are familiar to you?"

At that moment, Lilia tried to discern Edelene's intention by playing the emotional routine. By doing this, she hoped that she would be able to make Edelene talk without going t much trouble. However instead of being touched or show any signs to being affected, Edelene simply smiled back at her as she replied calmly.

"Oh believe me... she is more affected by your actions in the past than i am"

As Edelene said those words, Lilia suddenly felt danger coming from her left at a very fast pace, as she instinctively pulled her head back and just in time to dodged a speeding bullet coming from miles away from her.

The moment this shot was made, Lilia immediately realized that someone was sniping her from afar, as she quickly threw a distant look on her left and pinpoint the location where the bullet came from. At the same time, Castorea who was sniping from the tallest building in the vicinity about 2.5 kilometers away from Lilia, then quickly loaded her sniper gun once more and prepared to let loose another shot towards her target.

In fact both Edelene and Castorea has no ill will against Lilia, but due to Lilia's action in the past, which caused an organization in the dark to fall from their grace. Such organization was then intent on revenge towards the perpetrator of their downfall and hired the twins as the mediatory of their revenge.

The twins were hired due to the fact that they wield an immense reputation of being an excellent mercenary that will accomplish any mission which involves a large amount of money. But the most preferable trait they have that made them be chosen as the mediator for revenge instead of the other mercenary group, was that the twins are actually acquainted with their target, which makes their alias for getting close to be acceptable and understandable.

An established relationship is much more preferable than start ng from scratch. Plus if anything goes south, all the blames can be dumped unto the said mercenary and wipe off clean of the clients hands from such dirty deeds.

With all the background being checked, the twins were now in charge to take down their target who was shockingly a familiar person to them.

The moment Lilia realizes that even the twin sister was hunting for her head, she then saw Edelene raise up- her staff, as she begun cast8ing projectile magic towards her. Without wasting any breath, Lilia quickly dodged the attacks, by rolling to the side as she ran horizontally and tries to find any openings from her attacks.

But as she continued to run, She suddenly felt the vibrations in the air once more, as she used her short sword to deflect the speeding bullet that was aimed at her head.

But that didn't end there, once the initial bullet was deflected, Castorea sent another wave of bullets' towards her in quick succession, in order to assure that she will be held down by the attacks. As 10 bullets zipped through the air and aimed towards her, Lilia then blocked the initial bullets aiming towards her forehead, dodged the bullets aimed at her limbs, and split in half the other ballet that managed to follow her reaction and movement.

After she got rid of the bullet that was aimed towards her, she then saw Edelene ran up towards her from behind, as she raises her staff and smacked it down towards Lilia. In response to that, Lilia simply side stepped to the side, as she countered back with a slash, which was met with Edelene's own follow up movement.

As blade and staff collide multiple times, Edelene swung her staff towards Lilia's legs, which forced the latter to take a small jump in order to dodge the swing. But the moment she made this jump, a bullet came zipping in and struck her squarely on her guard, which made her whole body lose balance in mi8d air and fall on her back.

But before she could touch the ground, Edelene stretches out her hand towards Lilia's legs, as she released golden yellow chains from her wrist and made it wrap around Lilia's ankle. With the use of slight force, Edelene threw Lilia over her shoulder and make her crash through the wall on the street, and enter the empty slot on the other side of the wall.

With such a huge empty slot, Lilia was now out in the open which made it easier for Castorea to aim at her from afar.

Without waiting for Lilia to recover, Edelene casted her skill once more as she shot out multiple projectiles that are heading towards Lilia, at the same time, she begun casting another spell which would hinder Lilia's movement and make it hard for her to continuously dodge her attacks.

But before Lilia could get herself caught in such a trap, she quickly used one of her skills to make a copy of herself and used such copy to fall into the trap while she escapes from being caught. However this maneuver didn't go unnoticed, as bullets came flying in from a place far away, which forced her to enter into a defensive mode and make her block such an attacks.

Such sudden interception from Castorea, naturally gave way for Edelene to realized that she had been duped by a clone, and made her to hastily cast a separate spell filled with lethality this time.

Launching such spell towards Lilia, the latter then quickly pulled out three knives from her storage pocket and threw them towards the projectiles and make them intercept each other in mid air which caused numerous explosions to erupt.

Using the force of the explosion, Lilia used another of her skill to create a wide smokescreen, as she begun duplicating herself and used a portion of her own clones to assault Edelene under the obstruction of the smokescreen and the other portion to hunt down the sniper hiding from afar.

With that a violent battle erupted within the smoke as Edelene fend for her li8fe, from the attacking clones with the use of her staff skill combined with her magic. But since she has a skill which could heal herself, any minimal damage that the clone make unto her body was insignificant at all.

On the other hand, the moment the portion of the clones ran out of the smoke and headed towards Castorea's location, the person herself quickly packed up her sniper gun into her spatial storage and pulled out another weapon symbolizing a bow for archery.

Pulling the strings, Castorea injected mana unto her weapon as her mana soon formed into an arrow shape and aimed towards her opponent in a arch position. Taking advantage of the altitude of the building she was on top with and the speed of the wind, she then aimed prop[erly into the sky as she released her grip and caused the arrow to zoom into the air and fall towards the premediated location.

Soon after the arrow then split into multiple straight lines as it fell towards the approaching clones in the form of raining blast from the air above. In just a few moments time, the road where the clones were, then suddenly got riddled with explosion as it greatly alerted the citizens around the area and the officials safeguarding the safety of the city.

After all the battle between the players outside the dungeon had become too frequent lately, due to that the city's forces were strictly prohibiting fights outside the dungeon, and established a rule in the city for any punishment's towards the people involved in case they disobey such prohibition.

The punishment naturally is the confiscation of the legal I.D for players and even a fine of not more than a hundred thousands. But despite that  punishment, there were still stubborn people who disobeyed anyway and grew complacent as long as they didn't get caught by the authorities.

So upon receiving the first report of a fight happening near a residential area, various forces all over the city were alerted as they ran over towards the location of the fight in order to apprehend the people who dare disobey the city's law.

Back on the current situation, as soon as the battle grew even fiercer, Kaido naturally knew the chain effect of such a commotion, as he simply smiled in such spectacle of the fight and stood up from where he is. Since it was inevitable that such a huge fight would attract attention from the authorities of the city, All Kaido could do was to stall for time and not let Lilia get caught by the authorities.

As Kaido begun top move to intercept the authority, Lilia on the other hand, felt the other portion of her clones, slowly being whittled away, as she realized that it would be quite a challenge for her to even get rid off the sniper from afar. At this point in time w, it is much preferable for her to mainly focus on the enemy in front of her. However leaving such an enemy capable of long range attack, could also lead to her demise.

Whether splitting her forces or dealing with one enemy at a time, could end in a bad situation for her. At that point she would need a helping hand to help her out of this situation. But the moment she turned to look towards Kaido's direction, the person in question himself was nowhere to be found at all.

Upon realizing that Kaido was gone, she couldn't help but clicked her tongue as she somehow felt betrayed for not having any back up at this moment.

With that in mind, she slowly calms her beating heart, as she felt her clones dwindling by the second, while she prepares for the sudden combat that she will undergo.

Not long after her last clone finally fell, she then bolted out of her hiding place, as she raised another smokescreen which widens the area of obscurity, before she finally speed blitz towards Edelene and dealt continuous blow to her back

However the moment she made her move, her attacks was easily blocked by Edelene's shield, as the person herself turned towards her direction and enact a counter blow towards her. But such a maneuver was already predicted by Lilia, as she quickly deflected the counter attack, and begun targeting her neck with her own short blade.

In just a single breath, Lilia dealt 10 consecutively blow towards Edelene's neck which was protected by a shield, and override its defensive capability as she completely shattered the barrier protecting her.

The moment the barrier was destroyed, she suddenly felt a bullet entering the smokescreen she had created, as she quickly pulled out a dagger and threw it over towards the direction of the bullet.

Having the sniper bullet deflected in quick succession, Edelene was clearly surprised as she jumped away and prepared to fire off a barrage of spell. But the moment she jumped away, Lilia's clone suddenly appeared beneath her shadow, as its blade squarely punctured her side, causing Edelene to ache in pain and quickly cancelling the spells around her.

But before Edelene could pull out, the clone, twist the blade on its hand and directly slashed open a wound on her side, causing blood to splatter unto the air, and forcing Edelene to crash unto the ground and take on a defensive stance.

In that moment the first blood has then been spilled.
