Chapter 453: Free for all Rumble II

[Proto Earth]

As Tomas and Aileen charged at each other. A huge shockwave erupted in their clash, as their fist and arms hit one after another. As Tomas begun attacking Aileen in a CQC sequence combat specialized in fighting agaisnt dangerous individuals, his combat prowess slowly overwhelmed Aileen, as each and every move she makes, has been perfectly countered by Tomas.

Such combat prowess is truly surprising, as Tomas moves efficiently in comparison to his overall size.

When Aileen came in for a lounge, Tomas would use the excess force in her attack, in order to flip her over, before striking her into a palm strike which will blew her across the room. Due to that, Aileen slightly became annoyed by his techniques, as she quickly flipped in mid air, as she anchored her nails unto the ground, before launching herself forward like a missile.

Fighting like a monster she is, Aileen swipes down her claws, only to be dodged by Tomas, before he sneaks in his fist and squarely struck Aileen on her chin, causing her to be stunned a little, before getting thrown down unto the floor.

Without giving her a chance to recover, Tomas stomped his foot down on Aileen, causing her to get blasted through two floors below. Before Tomas strikes in and elbowed her face down to the ground. However Aileen quickly saw through this, as she rolled out of the way to avoid getting hit by Tomas Elbow, before she punched out a hard uppercut which struck stunned Tomas, before she quickly follow up with a strike towards his side.

Unfortunately Tomas managed to slightly resist being cemetery stunned by Aileen's uppercut, as he suddenly grabbed her attacking hand and slammed her down to the ground like a ragdoll. Not letting go of her hand, Tomas lifted her up to the ground, as he slammed her repeatedly unto the concrete walls, floors, and even iron doors.

Lightly throwing her into the air, Tomas spun around in mid air, as he punched Aileen with an immense force and ballistic her own of the room and crash through multiple corridors, as she gets thrown out of the building and crash through towards the building next door.

As the person receiving all of those attacks, Aileen flipped her disheveled hair into a brush up, as she blew out an air to her other split ends, while seemingly disturbed by this situation.

"Hais.... I can't even get a proper hit in, this is the reason why I hate holding back, I feel like shit"

In that moment when Tomas jumps into the building she crashed in, he was then quite surprised to see Aileen brushing off the dust and debris stuck on her clothes. With no signs of injury in her body, she seemed annoyed at her current state.

"Damn it! I got hair in my mouth ptui!!!"

"You... your okay? How come your unharmed? That's impossible"

"Actually it is quite possible"

"How?!?!"

"Well simply put, your weak"

In that moment Fengris suddenly sneak in behind Tomas, as he jumped over him while grabbing his unkept hair, and threw him above his shoulders without much effort. While still in midair, Fengris sent in a triple strike combo towards his stomach, causing Tomas to be blown towards Aileens direction.

Using this chance, Aileen cooperated with Fengris, as she sent in a kick to the face which redirected his momentum, before she quickly followed up by a double spin kick which blasted Tomas to the corridor on the side.

"I didn't expect you to be here... what are you doing here?"

"Of course I'm here to take down a big target"

"Are you sure your not here to help me?"

"Help? Who? You? Oh please, even if the world comes to an end, your not the type of damsel that needed saving... in fact I think your prince charming might be the one needing protection rather than you"

"Damsel eh! I haven't heard that for a very long time, unfortunately for vampires, there is no such thing as knight in shining armor... but there is a knight in bloody armor according to legends"

"Thats... forget it"

As Fenrgis and Aileen interacted with one another, Tomas slowly walked towards them as he seemed amused to see another person helping his opponent.

"What's this? You brought back up? Maybe I am really too much for you to handle alone... unfortunately for you, no matter how many you bring with you, ill just simply crush you all"

Hearing Tomas words, Fengris then showed a complicated look towards Aileen as he asked.

"What is this guy's on about? Is he on meth? I'm not even planning to help you at all, in fact I'm trying to steal a bigger prey from you"

"Don't worry about him, just ignore his rambling... how can I say this, he's just delusional to an amazing degree, he really thinks he is the strongest person alive physically"

"Now that's bullshit"

"I know right? Other world people are really delusional"

As both Fengris and Aileen talked to each other again, Tomas misunderstood this gesture as he felt like he was being ignored in this crucial moment. Due to that rage boiled within him, as he became so angry that he begun bashing everything in sight.

"You really dare to ignore me!!!!"

In a fit of anger, Tomas charged towards both Aileen and Fengris as he lounged at them, only to be dodged by the both of them after noticing his rampage.

However even though they manage to avoid his lounge, he suddenly stretched out his hand, as he grabbed Fengris ankle and pulled him in to choke him to death. However Tomas greatly underestimated Fengris strength, as he caught his strangling hand with one arm, which gave space for Fengris to squarely kick his face with great force that momentarily shocked his consciousness.

After that Aileen climbed unto his back, as she smacked the back of his head, before being flipped over by Fengris and get thrown across the room.

Meanwhile while Aileen and Fengris are going after Tomas, Belial on the otherhand is caught up in a troublesome match up, as he is going against three members of the enemy's group. Specifically he is fighting against Ekaterina, Lucian, and Janus.

Since he is fighting agaisnt three of them, the enemy's synergy is on a whole another level, as Belial is literally put on an edge in every turn. It was like he is fighting an enemy that has perfect offense and defense. As if Ekaterina matter alteration esper ability and Lucian's creation esper ability wasn't enough, Janus imaginary ability is literally broken as such an ability amplified their offense to the level which can hurt Belial.

Additionally his sight is limited due to the fog that Janus had created which blurs everything all around him. In fact if it weren't for his mana body that he had immediately deployed, he wouldn't be able to also see his own body parts up close. What's more such fog has a secret ability to produce a realistic illusion using the fog itself. Which in turn made it hard for Belial to fight properly two times.

Truth be told, Belial did try to fly away from this fog, however due to Janus interference, he used his ability to create a no-fly zone, causing Belial to be grounded for sure. With that he is literally trapped until someone helps him in this situation.

As Belial was putting his guard up, two types of illusory figures approached his front and his back, forcing him to quickly spun around and decimating the two illusion in just one slash. However due to him falling for that trick, Lucian managed to sneakily bypass his guard and slammed the warhammer that he had created unto Belial, causing some of his bones on his arms to crack and slowly break apart.

But due to Lucian's attack, Belial managed to find where Lucian is, as he brandished his claws and slashed it down for a fatal attack.

"Severing Claws!!!"

In response to that Lucian created a energy based barrier which perfectly blocked the attack, and giving an opening for Ekaterina to exploit as she threw in a rock and changed its size into mountain size in just one snap of her fingers.

With the shadow of the mountain looming behind him, Belial quickly forego his attention from Lucian, as she used two of his morphed claws and slashed the mountain size rock apart in a mana cross slash.

As the huge pieces of rocks fall all over the place, Janus suddenly created a huge gravitational pull around Belial's center, causing almost of the falling rocks to assault Belial and pinning him down in the middle like some type of core.

Faced with this, Belial tried to Overload his mana on his body to self destruct and destroy everything in the area, only to countered by Lucian who crated multiple sound machines and bombarded Belial with hypersonic Soundwave which disrupts the flow of his mana.

Screaming in pain from the sudden painful soundwave, Belial then tried using force to break out of the rocks in order to get out of the restrains and escape the range of the sound machines.

However using Ekaterina's ability, she made all the rocks stuck on Belial grow heavier and bigger, which further pinned him down and giving opportunity for Janus to storm Belial with tempest blast.

With that a huge explosion rung out of the area, as it blew everything away including the fog the was surrounding them. Even though the fog had dispersed, Belial was heavily wounded, as he started to bleed from all the combo that the three of them had done to him at this time.

However just as Lucian created a ray gun to finish off Belial in one shot to the head, Kaido suddenly released a empowered lightning spear from afar, causing Janus to be alarmed as his senses were warning him about that spear and forced him to teleport everyone away for about 30 kilometres away from them.

Luckily due to his sudden quick decision making, all three of them managed to avoid a mini nuclear like explosion which literally decimated all the buildings and everything within 30 km radius. Like that Kaido, Belial, Argos, Madrigal, Tomas, Aileen, and Fengris were engulfed by the explosion as the shockwave literally shook the space and slowly and surely destroying the isolated space that Janus had created.

Upon seeing the sky breaking apart, Janus immediately realized what Kaido was doing when he released such devastating attack, as he quickly tried to maintain the space, only to be proved useless as the destruction was far faster than what he could fix.

In just a matter of second, the isolated space broke apart, as the explosion disappeared and only leaving the shockwave to spread out in the area. However even though what was left from the attack was the shockwave itself, the destruction of the shockwave was enough to destroy the train station and its railway completely, followed by some of the buildings window blowing up and the buildings stability slowly leaning to the side.

By the angle on how much the building leaned, some of them fell complete after few seconds and crashed unto other buildings as it literally caused major property damage within 30km radius.

Luckily for the people of this world, the fight happened literally on the dead of the night, where the city itself is literally silent. However due to destruction that Kaido had caused, the whole city was woken up by the sound of the alarm, warning its citizens about a major danger lurking in the city.

Surprisingly the alarm itself mistook the explosion as a dungeon outbreak, due to that the system simply warned the civilians and all the players about the possible dungeon outbreak.

With that move, the situation has tipped into no one's favor as this became a three way possibility conclusion. First conclusion was Kaido and his group winning, second conclusion was Kaido and his group were either dead or captured, and third conclusion was that the powers of this world captured all of them and forced them to undergo experimentation.

The situation from that point had literally became dire.

Going back a few minutes before Kaido launched his spear which literally destroyed Janus isolated space, he was currently fighting against Madrigal while at the same time keeping a lookout at the mist for any possible situation.

After all Belial was fighting agaisnt three opponents as of this moment, and he fully know what Janus is capable of and why his ability is quite annoying. Since that was the case, he can expect that Belial would have a hard time fighting the three of them especially since Janus ability could rewrite his reality.

The only saving grace in this situation is that Janus ability is like a downgrade version in comparison to Axel's reality manipulation. However despite saying that, it was still quite a hurdle for anyone to counter against it.

With that, he hoped that Belial would be able to hang on for a bit longer until he could find an opportunity to intervene. However before he could even think of intervening in between Belial's battle, he would need to think of a way to deal with the current opponent that both him and Argos were facing.

Even though both Argos and him have a higher AP than the enemy, the enemy herself has one quite annoying ability, the ability of phasing through obstacles.

Phasing is a unique ability that allows its user to shift their physical form into an intangible state, enabling them to pass through solid matter. This skill can be selectively applied, meaning the user can phase through walls, doors, or any other physical barriers without causing damage to themselves or the object. When in this phased state, they become insubstantial, allowing attacks, environmental hazards, and other forms of physical interaction to pass harmlessly through them.

The process of phasing usually involves altering the atomic structure of the user's body, shifting it out of sync with the physical world's material plane. While phasing, they remain conscious and aware of their surroundings, though they may experience the environment differently—sounds might be muffled, visuals distorted, or time perceived slightly slower or faster, depending on the lore of the ability.

Phasing can also extend to objects the user is touching or carrying, letting them phase with their clothes, weapons, or even another person. However, the duration and stability of phasing depend on the user's mastery over the ability. Advanced users can control their level of intangibility, allowing them to phase parts of their body selectively, making them highly effective in combat. For instance, they can dodge incoming attacks by phasing parts of their body or perform lethal strikes by materializing within an enemy's body.

Limitations often accompany this power, such as the inability to breathe or sense the world normally while in the phased state, or a vulnerability to energy-based attacks or mystical barriers that disrupt phasing. Additionally, the effort required to maintain intangibility for long periods can be exhausting, leaving the user vulnerable when returning to a tangible state.

That is mostly the reason why both him and Argos were helpless agaisnt such an enemy. What's more her ability seemed to be strengthened by Janus boost earlier, giving her ability an apparition that was unknown to them.

As Argos lounged at Madrigal, the person herself simply phased through him, as she threw out a blade towards Kaido, forcing Kaido himself to dodge the blade, only to realize that Madrigal suddenly teleporting directly at the place where the blade was once and giving him a surprise by managing to slash the left side of his face and causing his blood to actually spill the floor.

Due to this, Kaido begun to wonder whether Janus have given Madrigal some extra abilities alongside her enhancement aside from her original phasing ability. After all based on what he knows and experienced, Madrigal only has one esper ability and that was phasing through obstacles. Plus what she did was akin to instant teleportation or so it seems.

While Argos faced and distracted Madrigal, Kaido begun to became curious on what kind of ability did Madrigal had used which is similar to instant teleportation. Cause as far as he know what he dodged was a blade and not the person herself. But the moment he turned to look at Madrigal's previous location before she suddenly teleported beside him, he suddenly realized something as he saw the blade stuck on the ground at Madrigal's previous location.

It was not teleportation, but rather switching. The power to switch her location on an object she had designated within her range of sight. Upon realizing that, he couldn't help but be surprised as he finally figured out how Madrigal did such a stunt.

"Argos! Be careful! She can switch places with objects within her range of sight"

"She can do that? Damn what a troublesome ability"

"Yes indeed, however every type of an ability has a limit... give me a sec"

After Kaido said that while regenerating the slash on his face, Argos then quickly rushed towards Madrigal and begun to use magic alongside his physical attacks agaisnt her.

"Razor claws!!!"

Slashing his sharp nails at Madrigal, his attack simply went through her, as he quickly turned around mid attack and launched another shot at her.

"Dark Renegade!!!"

Launching his breath out which was heavily nerfed in this occasion, the attack itself illuminated the place while it literally drowned Madrigal in the range of its blast. However even though it was heavily nerfed by Argos in order to comply to Kaido's request, it was still strong enough to decimate a whole city in just one attack.

Unfortunately such an attack was considered as an obstacle, as Madrigal simply phased through it, and gave a Argos a powerful kick to his guts which launched him crashing across a few blocks.

Seeing that one of them were blown away, Madrigal then confidently turned towards Kaido, when she suddenly felt a huge killing intent behind her, which literally shocked her still on her place. Unknown to her the moment she turned around to face Kaido, Argos quickly recovered from his crash by anchoring himself down with his claws and launching himself back to her like a rocket.

With that before Madrigal could turn around and consciously used her ability, Argos already grabbed her head and smashed it to the ground, before dragging her alongside him. After that he lifted her up in one hand and threw her directly towards a parked car.

"Number one rule in a battle, don't turn your back on an enemy"
