The Barrier Mage (Part Two)

The enemy's champion sat alone, cross-legged in a corner of the arena.

The disgusting creature took the form of a young human male, wide-eyed and confused.

It didn't look threatening, in the least: beardless, muscles average, height middling.

If it were truly human, (which it was absolutely not,) its physical age was closer to that of a child than an adult...

Tycondrius wouldn't have been surprised if the enemy sent an *actual* child into combat. The gods of the lizard pantheon seemed to only choose children to serve as their so-called 'exarchs'.

During his travels, Tycon had obliviated one and murdered two others.

He wondered if, perhaps, the third lizard champion was chosen only for their appearance.
