Too Early To Die

Tycondrius drew a macabre Spell Circle out of a dead knight's blood.

It was an alternate focus, diverting the source of power for Pale's Spell.

--and just in time.

Pale completed the activation.

The blood of the fallen whisked out of useless flesh-prisons, coalescing into a series of crimson clouds. They took the shape of dozens of spears, all launching toward the enemy at Pale's command.

"BOSS!!" the boy screamed, " THIS IS BLOOD MAGIC!!!"

Correct.

But why did he sound surprised? He should've had at least an inkling of the Spell's nature as he conjured its individual parts.

❬❰ Tycon! That's ILLEGALl! ❱❭ Troia shouted.

Was it?

It was certainly illegal in the Holy Country but was that also true in the Eastern States?

And what use were laws in the current situation?

Was it a question of ethics?

There were no complaints to be heard from his chosen blood donors.
