Edie knew there was no point in asking any more questions and gave up, leaving Julian to give her a complete physical. Julian had a medicine bag with all sorts of advanced instruments in it. He gave Edie a blood test, and he took her blood pressure.


After Childe Yates's kidnapping and almost drowning, she was covered in small wounds. Carol had already changed her clothes. Julian took a bottle of medicine out of his bag and asked Edie to put it on daily until it was healed.


Edie looked at Carol expressionless and did not look amused. Her blood pressure was high, according to the aneroid monitor, and it was an extremely high reading, which was not good for her body. Julian was concerned and looked in his bag, "Here is some more medication for you, Mrs. Yates. Take this and get a good night's sleep. It will help you recover more quickly."
