My heart stutters at the sight of Jade running into my arms. Exhaling with relief, I wrap my arms around her, lean down and inhale her sweet scent. She feels so good inside the circle of my arms that I don't ever want to let her go. Gazing into Savage's eyes, I unwrap my body from her and ask. "Where is he?"

Micah gestures to the open corridor. "He's in the main room prepping for his next move, and he's not alone. We need to get Jade out. There's no time─" He stops and turns when a shot rings out in the hallway. It's one of Willem's men.

Pulling Jade into the protection of my arms, I hand Micah a gun and take out my own.

Another man stops in the hallway and yells out. "He's here! Reaper's here!" We run down the hallway in hopes of finding an exit as the shots continue to ring out.
