CHAPTER 11 : THE AWARD

Candy chuckled looking at his curious face "Oh he's my childhood friend Galen !"

"You looked so close to him. Is he your boyfriend ?" Asked Hanson curiously.

"No, I don't have any boyfriend. Why are you curious about me Han bro ?"

"Because I'm interested on you !" he said it casually to her with low voice.

Candy didn't hear it clearly but she didn't dare to ask it to him instead she divert the subjects. "You've just got here, you must be tired ? Why don't you go back now Han bro ? We can talk again later."

Hanson felt relieve after confirm it with her about Galen. He got back to his place after he gave her souvenir from T city. Candy accepted it and thank him.

One day Hanson saw an invitation on his table, it's a gala dinner for advertising award. He was surprised reading the invitation and it had some announcement about his company being candidate for the award winner. His company had never been a candidate few years before. He thought this was a good reason to take Candy to date with him.

He told her that afternoon about being candidate for the award, he showed her the invitation. "Can, I wish you good luck this time !"

Candy saw the invitation and the announcement of her being candidate for the rookie designer, she was surprised but happy also, she didn't expect it "Oh really ? I couldn't believe it !"

Then he told her to buy a new dress again that night "Let's go grab some dresses for it !"

Candy was hesitated at first "No need to buy again, I still have some nice dresses at my closet !"

But Hanson convinced her that she had to look charming "You have to look wonderful and charming at that award night, I'm pretty sure you'll win at least one of the award ! Don't worry I'll pay for your dress !" This time he bought her three new dresses.

Candy doubted him "Do you think so ?" she smiled but her eyes shimmering. She never thought before she could win on some award, she was just wanna make something great and useful in her life. This award would encourage her to the next achievement in her career.

Candy wanted to pay for the dress "Actually you don't have to buy me these dresses Han bro, I can buy them by myself !"

Hanson insisted to pay for them "Don't worry about them, let me be your stylist this time. I'm afraid your fashion style a bit lame !" he mocked her.

Candy glared at him "Are you insulted me ? Then let's go to my room now, you can see them yourself all of my dresses !"

Hanson teased her "Really can I come to your room ? Well, It's a good chance to know your room, since you've known my room and slept there a couple of times !"

Candy speechless, she just realized that she let a wolf came into her cave "Mmm... I'll just show my dresses to you, nothing more. Please come in !"

Hanson entered her apartment, looked around in her tiny kitchen and living room, she went to her room and opened her wardrobe looking for some nice dresses, without her knowing Hanson had already standing behind her and he was picking up some of her dresses. She was shocked when Hanson held her hand which was holding one of her dress. "This one looks nice, why don't you try it !"

"Since when did you get into my room ?" asked Candy.

He whispered on her ear "Since now." he was standing very close to her, she felt awkward then she pushed his chest away.

Candy got nervous her face turned into red "Can you get out of my room now ? I need to change."

"You told me to get into your room right ? And I've already in your room now, let me see your dresses first." He smiled, he won this time, Candy couldn't chased him away. Hanson picked another dress again "Try this one also, let me see it !"

"Now please wait outside, I want to change."

"OK"

After a while, Candy came out from her room wearing a white dress.

"Hmm... you look skinny wearing this dress, try the other one."

Candy came out again after a while wearing her turquoise - black dress.

He got amazed with her, his eyes sparkling seeing her "Wow you look sexy and charming wearing this dress ! You may wear this dress to the award night, and bring your light blue dress also, the one that I've just bought you today."

"Why do I have to bring another dress, is this one dress not enough ?"

"I want you to change your dress if you'll get another award !" said him confidently.

Candy laughed "Wow, I'm not that famous yet ! Please don't overestimate me too much sir ! You're too ambitious !"

Hanson ignored her "Trust me, just bring your other dress tomorrow OK ?" He winked at her then he went back to his place.

Hanson told Candy to went home early that day to get ready for the gala dinner at night, she needed some times to dress up. Hanson picked her up that night "You look terrific ! Let's go !" he helped her to carry her other dress.

Jolin and the other design manager came to the gala dinner as well that night. When she saw Candy alone she went to her, she took two glasses of wine with her, she gave her one,"Hi can ?". She deliberately slip the glass, so the wine got pour into Candy's dress, and her dress got wet and got stained now.

"Oops sorry, it was an accident. Ouw your dress got wet now, such a lovely dress, poor you !" Jolin pretending too feel apologetic to her, but she smiled satisfied leaving her. Hanson saw her cunning act from far, Candy tried to smile to Jolin, she forgave her easily.

"It's OK, I'm OK." She then went to the bathroom tried to clean up the stain. When she went out from the bathroom, she saw Hanson held her blue dress.

"Change your dress with this."

Candy took the dress, she back to the bathroom, Hanson was worried she couldn't wear the dress by herself, when he saw there were no one in the ladies room, he entered.

"Candy, can I help you ?"

Candy surprised hearing his voice in the ladies room, but she indeed needed him "Yes, please help with my zipper." she opened the door a bit then he helped her to zip her dress, Hanson then took her other dress and went back to the car.

"If you go back to the ballroom just stay away from Jolin, I'll be back in five minutes."

"OK" she went to the ballroom and took a seat in the middle, different table from Jolin and the other manager, she reserved a seat for Hanson next to her. Jolin started to gossiping her with the other employees "Look how arrogant that newbie, she's a sly bitch ! Boss got blinded by her look !"

The other manager responded her "I think she didn't wear this dress when you spilled the wine into her body just now ?"

Jolin looked her dress for a while "Oh Yeah you're right ! Damn you bitch, since when did she change the dress ?" Jolin was about to get up from her chair to provoke her again when she saw Hanson came and sat beside her. Her plan failed again to humiliated Candy, she went back to her seat. And the show began to start now, everyone was very enthusiastic waiting for the winner results including Hanson and Candy. Hanson's company had failed in two award at first, and now Candy had mentioned as one of the candidate this year as a rookie designer at the last moment. Her heart beat fast to wait for the announcement.

"And the winner is ...... Ms. Candy Wu ! Please come up here to take your trophy Ms. Candy Wu ! Please give applause to Ms. Wu everyone !" said the MC.

Candy was very surprised hearing the announcement her eyes got widened by her excitement. She covered her face with her two hands for a while, she didn't believe she would won it.

Hanson was smiling proudly, he told her to get up and go to the stage excitingly "Go Candy ! You won it !"

Candy finally went to the stage to received her trophy, she smiled very happy and thank you to all of her team work and especially her boss Hanson Jang for supporting her.

Jolin got surprised with her winning award, she never won any award before, she's very jealous with her "That bitch is just lucky this time !" she smirked bitterly. Candy's team and the other team congratulated her when she went down from the stage, she was very happy she's smiling all the time.

Hanson made an announcement suddenly "Listen everyone, to celebrate our winning today, let's go to H Hotel I treat you all there !

"Hooray !!! Let's goo !" everyone shout out in glory.

All the company worker went to the H hotel that night after the show had over, it was owned by Hanson's father Mark Jang. They were so happy, after some times their company finally could win an award, it's all thanks to Candy who won the rookie award that year.

Hanson booked a suite room that night for Candy and him, because she got drunk, and he had drank some alcohol too, so they slept together that night. The next morning Hanson woke up first, but he still stayed beside her pretending to sleep, when she opened her eyes she got shock to see Hanson's face very close to her face, she got up fast, but Hanson grabbed her hand and pulled her body back on the bed and he held her tightly "Just get some sleep more !"

Their face were very close to each other this time "But I'm not sleepy anymore, I want to wash up, I didn't change my dress since yesterday too. Where am I ?" she asked curiously, she felt awkward sleeping together with him again in one bed.

"It's OK you smells good ! We're in the hotel now." he responded her with eyes closed.

"Oh come on Han bro, I smell alcohol in my whole body. And why am I in the hotel ?" asked her curiously.

Hanson smiled then he kissed her forehead "Alright you may go now ! You were very drunk last night, I thought we could just stay here for a night."

Candy felt very awkward stayed beside him for too long, she went to had a shower, she whispered to herself "Nothing happened last night right ? I didn't remember anything at all about last night." She's trying to undress herself now, but she got problem with the zipper, she went out again, a bit hesitated she asked Hanson "Han bro can you help me with my zipper ?" Hanson came and helped with her zipper. She thanked him and hurried back to shut the door.

Hanson had ordered his assistant to bought a new couple casual wear for him and Candy, and he had ordered breakfast for both of them. When Candy had finished her shower, she came out from the bathroom wearing a bathrobe, when she saw a new couple T shirt laying on the bed "Is it one for me ?"

Hanson nodded "Yes, I've told my assistant to brought them for us to change."

He went to get a shower after her, when he came out from the bathroom he just wearing a towel, Candy saw his bare chest while sitting around on the bedside, she got shocked and turned her head to the other way "Han bro why didn't you put on your cloth ?"

Hanson walked to her and stood up in front of her "My cloth is here beside you !" he bent over very close to her, she tried to avoid him and she closed her eyes but ended up she got laid on the bed.

"Are you finished Han bro ?" she said with her eyes closed.

Hanson chuckled "Yes, I am ! Are you flirting with me ?" Candy just silent ignored him. He took his cloth back to the shower room. Not long after the waiter knocked on their door to deliver their breakfast, Candy received the breakfast ordered by Hanson then. They had their breakfast together that morning in their room.

Candy asked him curiously "Why did you book only one room yesterday Han bro ?"

"To save my money. I have treated you all last night remember ?"

"But you could call for designated driver last night to go home if you wanna save more money don't you ?"

"But I want to spend some more time together with you !" he teased her.

Candy speechless for a while, she didn't dare to look at him, she felt so embarrassed, he had told her his feeling directly to her.

"Please don't joke with me too much Han bro, I'm just one of your ordinary employee ! Please don't favour me too much, it'll make other employee get jealous !"

"So what if they want to gossip or jealous ? I don't care ! And I'm not joking with you, instead I'm being serious with you now." Said Hanson confidently.

It made Candy got nervous more, she didn't dare to look him in the eyes "What... do you want from me ?"

"Isn't it so obvious that I'm interested on you ? We've been hugging and kissing more than once right ?"

"Are...are you confessing to me ?" she asked him in tremble.

Hanson smiled faintly seeing how nervous is she "OK ... OK... I don't want to scare you again, just finish your breakfast then we go back to the apartment."

Hanson decided to gave her some space to relax, but he planned to pursue her in the future.
