Back to the king and flock of mini cannon birds. I've begun testing out the strength of the cannon birds vs the kings fireballs. While he doesn't seem to be to interested in fighting me he seems to understand I'm not serious... After all I could kill him instantly with the armor. I begin by swarming him and launching the cannons from all directions he then counters with his fireballs behind him while rushing through the front. His new armor holds up pretty well to heat and explosions but if he had taken the larger cannons beam head on he definitely would have died. The little beams don't have quite the same force as they just burn off pieces of the armor and shove him back a bit from the force. The king is quite strong but I doubt he'll be able to win against all the flock of birds with cannons in firepower at this point. Again and again the king barely evades and blocks. Without his new armor he'd definitely have died multiple times over by now but he's still going strong. After about a hour of fighting he finally shows signs of getting exhausted he stops firing his fireballs and just dodges and takes the force of the explosions. His armor regenerates pretty quickly but he's still taking a lot of the force of the explosions on his body. That armor can't stop vibrations after all. With each explosion he seems to be slightly hurt but he gets back up and rushes again and again. Eventually he falls to the ground... Wait... Did I accidentally kill him with my testing? What... what should I do... I can't let the best fighter of my followers die... I quickly try to resuscitate him over and over I poke him with my wing he seems to be alive but very injured probably exhausted to the point of inability to move. I know I have magic... Can I heal? Hmm... I try to force bits of his armor into his body with the intent to give him a limited amount of my regeneration...
As if nothing had even happened he stood back up. I break down the thin vines in his system to the smallest scale available in hopes of leaving this option till it's needed. I guess it probably wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the large quantity of my flesh already inside all of these rats. After all they only eat my fruit which is technically part of my body. So I guess in a way these rats are already a part of me. Interesting... I quickly move back to the army of rats while having the flock carry back the king. I then try to do the same thing I did with the king with the entire army as many were somewhat injured. It went pretty well. Which gave me another idea. I then start forming the cannons on my new tank. While I send my perspective to the raven I had left in the part of the cave that was a battle field before. I hop down and wobble over to the pile of now somewhat destroyed and decaying raven bodies. I can't control them but I can still feel them I wonder if they are just to far away from my main body? I place my wing upon the pile and begin to use the regeneration I had used on the army on the pile. But the entire pile of ravens immediately reforms into a small tree. Oh... I see why it couldn't regenerate properly they were trying to regenerate into a tree. I guess this area hadn't properly been integrated into my territory and with this my body has placed a flag of sorts claiming the territory. So now I've discovered how to increase my regeneration powers within each new area... It would seem my creations are weakened the further away from my body they go. I don't remember my root snake being like that but I guess I did plant roots all over as I went and forced them to the shape of a tree... So maybe I had been doing this without even knowing.
I decided on a new creature. I made it out of super thick wood with almost no leaves at all so it'll never fly like the others but I designed it to be a very heavy hitter. However It's mostly so I can survive the force of the water elemental's attacks it has no other way to kill me if I make it strong enough. It's a bit similar in size and shape to the rats but closer to the guard who's physical frame gives so much more inspiration then the others. His huge frame and armor gave me a nice mold for my new, wooden hounds? Nah not a good name. Let me think...
*Yet again Alex flashes in the background as the mc tries to think of a good name... "Skill [Soul Refining] unlock requirement 5% met" Just as before as abruptly as she came she vanishes*
