I look around at the ashes that remain. It's been decades since I last saw them. My family. They were so bright. So kind... Now a days my home has devolved into the breeding grounds of these revolting lizards. All over the once beautiful fields of trees and critters now only grotesque massive bodies of these giant beasts. Some seem to be born with wings the others come down to take those away. However the gross wingless ones have no apparent brains in their heads. They just lounge around hunt and burn all that used to be our beautiful fields of wheat away or just endlessly breeding as they are instructed the winged ones above like to throw carcasses of dead or injured animals down from above a lot. I guess they only want the wingless beasts to breed more. My once beautiful home is nothing but a breeding ground or a pen for these vile scalie things. The fact I cannot leave is even worse. When the biggest of the winged ones came down he seemed to have forced me to stand here. Occasionally they come down and throw food into my body so that my fire doesn't go out. However I still just remain. Lost and alone in my own home.
It would seem the winged creatures and the giantess really hate one another. I wonder why. Eh doesn't matter no point worrying myself about the lives of my wardens. I just wish I had some fellow prisoners. The winged one may have been the one who saved us from the giantess. They seem to be the same race but totally different the giantess is a faint shade of white and blue while the winged leader seems black and red. After the giantess came and killed all my people I cowered in fear in the corner as the youngest they tried to protect me but they were all extinguished in the end. At the last second the winged ones came and forced her back into her hole. The once peaceful pound now a huge lake. The winged ones seem to have set some kind of net of flames around the edges. I guess to keep the giantess out. I guess I kinda support the winged ones on that front. Much prefer the prison to the execution. Sadly it's been so long. Sitting at the center of this world of grotesque monstrosities that I've slowly grown some mixed feelings about that. I don't quite know which I'd prefer anymore. Granted... I have no choice.
While I slept stuck in place watching the world of monsters day in and out one day I saw a speck of green sticking out of the wall in the distance. It surprised me at first but I didn't allow myself to react. I don't want the wingless ones to kill the only life to grow in here after so long. This world used to be filled with green and my people flourished along side it as it was our main source of food. Can't burn without fuel after all. However it all vanished with my people. All the trees were smashed by the giantess or burned by the winged ones. Only ash, bones, blood and beasts remain. Which could work as food but it would taste awful. The bit of green pokes it's self into the area and then pops back under the wall. It seems to be moving about more then growing. Is it a snake? I've seen those before. Usually they are larger also dead. The winged ones throw them down from time to time.
After awhile the green bit got close to me and I managed to grab it quickly but the moment I did it seemed to get upset I tried to eat it and it burned but it seemed a large part of it escaped. It was definitely wood. Is it... a snake tree? Do... those exist?
After I ate that bit nothing more seemed to come. I waited and watched carefully but nothing new happened after that just a bunch of wingless beasts living there lives around me. I guess I shouldn't have eaten it so quickly maybe more would have come...
Days passed before another green thing came from the ground directly beneath me but it didn't stop at that. Countless green things shot up at once and took weird elongated tube like shapes before the whole world lit up.
