It was a night unlike any other. A stormy November night in the desert lands of Neveh. The leaves ruffled and the winds blew. There was a calm silence to the earth that was quickly interrupted by the thunder rumbling and lightning cracking at various spans of the land. Every land urchin crept into a safer place. Well, all except for a man with too much riding on his trip to the hardware store to care about a little thunder and lightning.
This man knew all too well how to navigate his way around a Neveh storm. Yet, The very instant he stepped out of Deki's Hardware Store he was struck.
Lightning bolts of over 1 billion volts coursed through his body reaching every centimeter of it. It engraved itself in every chromosome of his being. This was his fourth time leaving the store and there he lay. His thoughts swirled around with confusion.
Of all the people, in all places, around all the things it could have hit, this lightning wished to attack him. He was 30 years old and needed to get back home to finish his future child's clubhouse.
There he laid, fear in his clear ocean blue eyes. They were so clear they could reflect the deepest desires of whoever looked into them.
He couldn't shake the feeling that he should have been dead already. Thus, he became more scared thinking he was already dead.
Paralyzed by fear he started to weep slowly tears flowing down his face hitting the ground blending with the rain that fell unceasingly.
Then a stranger walks by him without so much as an inquisitive question.
The audacious foreigner returns with all but half of his face covered and a smirk driven into the crack where his mouth should be. His smirk transforms into a huge malicious grin. It gave the man a huge discomfort as if he didn't feel uncomfortable already. The mysterious outsider touches him slightly on his shoulder.
Within seconds he begins to heave and gasp violently for air. Over and over he hacks, coughs, and wheezes for a steady breath. He felt this had to be some sort of hell with how excruciating the pain was.
Every fiber of his being began to panic.
Flecks of blue and red lifted and spun him around in the air.
He slowly gained regularity. His muscles were stronger, lighter, thinner, and all in all better than before.
The air began to twirl overhead and he started to pull at his clothes and grasp his chest. Each vein started pulsating and popping into view.
The air sucked at his hands and feet pulling the electric pulses from his veins. Then light-blue light began flowing into his body each bone, each nerve, each chromosome was enveloped in light. He then witnessed the stranger treading closer to him and tapping his hands and feet. He abruptly fell from the air to the ground cold and breathing frost. Although he began his life again, he still remained confused.
Seeing this "Good Samaritan", there he lay, shock in his clear ocean blue eyes, and he thought.
Without movement, he continues to think as the stranger sped away like a ray of light out into the dark barren landscape.
The man laying on the ground began a basic check of his memory.
Who am I? Syn Rya.
Where am I? Erlach, Neveh with a population of 1,000.
How old am I? 30.
When was I born? January 1, 2030.
Everything else remained slightly hazy as he slowly started raising from the ground picking up his things.
