The Beginning

Got it! Here's the revised version with the dialogue formatted in the conventional style:

It was a Sunday morning as Tomas gazed through his apartment window, noticing the sun just rising from below the horizon. Tomas was up early because he was waiting for a phone call that needed to arrive but still hadn't, and this made him nervous. Tomas was a daylight businessman. To the public, he was a success story—coming from the streets of the mafia-controlled neighborhoods into a man who now was untouchable, even by the mafia. Tomas had spent his early years making deals for the mafia as he was known for his above-average intelligence and was underestimated due to his young age. However, what the public didn't know was that when the night came, Tomas would also gain a new identity—an identity that would scare all the local gangs. Tomas was the drug lord of the Czech Republic, with Prague as his throne. Tomas had just started to expand his underworld operations into new territory. But it turned out to be a setup by the crime families of Italy to weed him out and take control of the Republic.

Unnerved by the silence and the lack of a phone call, Tomas decided to unwind by watching his new favorite pastime: Originals. He had just been introduced to the show by one of his friend's child, who was watching something called Legacies. Later, the child told him about it when she noticed Tomas peeking over at the screen now and then when he wasn't paying attention to his friend. From then on, he watched everything related to vampires and werewolves—Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Originals, Teen Wolf, Legacies, just to name a few. Anyway, as Tomas was turning on the TV to start his unwinding process, he heard it—the dreaded sound he had been waiting for all morning: the phone call.

"Talk," Tomas said.

"Sir, we found out why it was this easy to enter Verna, it was a setup by the damned—Ahh!! Wait! Wha—NOoo!" the worker shouted.

"Tomas Ash Von-Kade, YOU are overstepping," an Italian voice hissed.

Beep

"Well, shit!" Tomas muttered, cursing under his breath.

Disappointed by the outcome, Tomas went back to re-watching the show as he thought about what to do next. Even though he had guessed the outcome, he was still upset by his luck in things. Going back to the show, Tomas began to relax completely before heading out to clean up his mess in Verna. As he was watching, something kept nagging at him—it was one of Elijah's quotes: "Family always and forever." He thought about his family and how they had neglected him and later abandoned him. He scrolled through his contacts until he read his sister's number, which, surprisingly enough, he had gotten from his nephew. He had met his nephew unintentionally when he was taking in new blood. He was about to call when his attention refocused back to the show, where Rebekah was talking to Elijah about her hatred of that quote of his. So, he put down his phone and enjoyed the show.

After roughly 35 minutes, Tomas reached for the remote and turned the TV off while also grabbing his phone from beside the sofa. He told Siri to read aloud his schedule as Siri read the pre-planned events for his day. A shadow could be seen flickering from rooftop to rooftop, then stopped in front of Tomas' hotel and prepared his sniper. Currently, he was standing at the edge of a cathedral roughly 500 meters away from Tomas' hotel room window. The shooter was aiming for the entrance of the hotel when he noticed his target's shadow by the window. Re-adjusting his aim, he pulled the trigger. The bullet soared through the air, and with the glare from the sun, it looked like it had vanished from the world itself, only to be seen penetrating Tomas' head as he was unlocking a compartment.

Taking you back to when Tomas just finished listening to Siri. After planning everything out, Tomas got up from the sofa and went to retrieve a USB that had some hard facts on people in high places. Moving aside the painting, Tomas pushed a button hidden behind it and waited for the curtains near the windows to shift, leading him to his secret coffer. When suddenly, he felt light-headed, and then he saw, from the corner of his eye, a liquid trailing off from the left side of his head.

Tomas then fell to the floor, pulling the curtain down with him, only to be impaled by the rod that held the curtain up in the first place.

As Tomas' consciousness started to float away, he cursed under his dying breath for being too naive, thinking that they would just let him off with a slap on the wrist after he tried to invade their territories. He made a promise to himself that, if he could remember in his next life, he would be more cunning and have a family to support him. With that, Tomas Ash Von-Kade died from a shot to the head and a rod through his guts at the tender age of 20 years old.
