It was the year 1010, ten years since the Kades had started to learn the Dark Arts their parents had left them within the castle in Aquileia. They all had aged wonderfully, in fact, one could even say that Ivy had stopped aging once she had turned 21, but no one seemed to take notice as they all were trying their best to learn, for the past few months, the spell which would transform their bodies into a gaseous substance and make it easier to travel.
During these past months, Am was trying his best not to laugh his ass off every time he went into their studies. The reason for his laughter was that they didn't need the spell because they could have used their vampiric ability which had been activated after their previous years of drinking blood or they could use the || Pýli || spell. What made it funnier was that this was the last spell they wanted to learn before they head out to Egypt for the Arcane source.
Joking aside Am thought it was time they leave as he had gotten news from his sources that the tomb seemed to be discovered by some stray witches.
Am: Everyone, A moment of your time if you may?
Kades: Yes, what is the matter?
Am: I believe that it is time for you to leave for the tomb. As for the last spell, you seem to have forgotten that you have already unlocked your vampiric abilities, so it was completely unnecessary to keep wasting your time.
Kade: What! You could have told us so months ago why would you tell us now?
Tom: Well to correct you Am, I knew about it but was just testing to see if it was possible to teleport from point A to B but sadly you can't.
Am: Actually you can with the || Pýli || spell, however, there are certain restrictions.
Ivy: Whatever, setting that aside let's go I have already marked this place, and we can return to it when we use the || Spíti || incantation.
With that, the Kades said goodbye to their Buttler and vanished from the library. After a couple of hours, they appeared at the banks of the Nile. The Nile looks ever so beautiful with its golden sands adorning it as the sun was setting on the horizon it was just breathtaking. After admiring the scenery the Kades traveled to a settlement that went by the name of Alexandria after arriving there they asked for direction to Cairo as they knew that the tomb was in between the two settlements.
It took them a couple of days to reach there, but they had finally made it. To the place that will allow them to be themselves to the fullest.
The Tomb seemed to resemble a broken pyramid that could not withstand the trials of time. Arriving at the supposed entrance the Kades stood in front of multiple sand dunes that had replaced the outer structure of the tomb.
--Tomas' POV--
I was slightly excited as after this part we will be able to safely drink blood because of the tens of years of not drinking made me quite parched. Over these years Siri seemed to have taken to herself, but I think that it is because she still has not completed scanning and archiving the Aquileia library material.
While I was walking into the tomb I seemed to have picked up on the sight movements of the grains of sand that had begun to shift and fall down the dunes. Alerted I jumped back a couple of feet landing on a historical stone pillar which had resurfaced as a result of the shifting. My siblings had done the same thing but to their misfortune, they did not land in any safe spots as Ivy was swatted out from the air like a fly by a huge cat-like creature but with wings. It had similar fur as the dessert sand and its wings spanned 13 feet. Lexi experienced the same foe as she had landed on the tail of the creature. Dave, however, had it the worst as he found himself falling into the jaws of yet another enemy with similar characteristics; a bit larger. I stood there amused at their situation completely unaware that there seemed to be a humongous snake-like creature ready to spray its venom. Before I could turn around all I hear was a loud hissing and then a stinging sensation all over my back and legs it was excruciating, I was in immense pain. I started to curse at my lack of unattentiveness as I melted into a puddle of my own flesh which was not comfortable. It took a few minutes, but I regenerated quite finely and when I was finally done I saw the thing that had melted me, it stood right in front of me with its back facing me. I could see the dirty white scales that went from the tip of its tail to the edge of its nose. It also had a hood just like a cobra but only this guy here was more than 30 feet long it had coiled around on one of the other pillars that surrounded the tomb.
I raise my hand in front of me as I try out one of the many new Dark Magic spells I learned over the ten years.
|| Strípste Stin Téfra ||
With that, I could see the serpent twisting and turning as it cried in pain while its body was burning away into the sand and becoming ashes in the wind. But how could I let it off so easily, I collected its ashes and turned them into blades aiming them at his feline friends who were still at it with my siblings.
Just as I was about to decapitate the closest cat, Lexi screamed on top of her lungs and the atmosphere around us became cold as the dead of night and it began encroaching farther and farther away encompassing a diameter of 100 feet. You see she was trying to achieve her semi-demon form for a very long time and well to tell you the truth it was going nowhere until now. Seeing that there was no use of the ash blades I let them dissipate and arrived once again near the tomb.
Sphinx: Who goes there?!
Ivy: What now!? We had enough of these interruptions. Come out with it, if you are gonna talk or get the hell out of our way!!
Sphinx: Huh! What do demons want with the arm of the Queen of Egpyt? Why have you come?
Dave: Arm!!? Queen?!! What are you talking about fool? We are here for the Arcane source.
Lexi: You idiot, don't tell it that!!
Sphinx: What use would that be to you, you can't even you perform the Arts why seek it.
Ivy: State your business first!
Sphinx: I am to protect the arm and the staff of the doormen as I await his return to retrieve it. As for the source, you can have it for all I care.
Wonderful then if you wouldn't mind will you move out of the way, so we can continue with our objective?
--Tomas' End POV--
Haa! Haa! Kid, I suggest you return from where you came this source belongs to the Alvarez coven you wouldn't want to interfere with. Understood!
Tom turns around to see a man with a typical Egyptian get-up a cloth around his head and a gown-like robe. Behind him were more people men and women alike. Ivy could feel that they were witches of the pyramids and were very well connected to other underworld parties so confronting them without proper support or plan would be unwise. But sadly for her none of her siblings thought it that way.
Tom: || ýpnos ||
Dav: || Pétrino féretro ||
After the two spells the entire Alvarez coven fell unconscious and for those who could resist were immobilized.
With that, the Kades began their ritual for the conversion. Each of them chose a cardinal direction and began to chant.
|| Χους ην και εις χουν απελεύσει ||
After the first verse, they cut open their hands.
|| Οστά στα οστά ||
They began to drop their blood in front of them forming a puddle.
|| Αίμα του αίματος μου ||
The puddle straightened into a line spanning across the respective sides of the tomb. Incasing the tomb in a square of Ash Von-Kade blood.
|| Εμπιστευόμαστε ||
The outer lay lines started to show their shine. Bright blue began to light up the ground even more than the moon itself.
|| Μετατρέπουμε ||
The Arcane Source was revealed as a large sphere of light that too was also bright blue but there were purple spots here and there.
|| Κατακτάμε ||
The entire Source turned purple, darkly mysterious and aloof.
|| Αποφασίζουμε ||
The lay lines from before too changed their colors from blue to purple and continued until the very end of its reach.
All regions under the influence of the source were turned to make the region of the black sands no longer black but white, as white as the moon above.
The Kades' prisoners felt the effect as they had harnessed the power of the Source and had begun to grovel in pain and blacked out. The Kades had been knocked out after the last verse as the source had accepted their blood and given them the energy they needed to last a couple of decades until they make their way to the demon realms.
