Chapter 20 - The Wedding

" Would I have a kid brother, next year?" A loud applaud and a laughter broke the silence of the park.

"This is coercion from both of you!" Richclar yelled.

A banquet followed which was attended by the family of the newly engaged couple and some close friends.

"Guys, I have now a fiancee'. I could still not believe it."He suddenly outburst at the midst of their sumptuous meal.

" Let's have a toast for my brother's undying love for General Richclar Samson, " Joshua's brother led.

" Hey! " Joshclar said in a loud voice." She is General Cardo Dimagiba! "

"Everybody all together put their point finger on their lips and" Ssshhhh" was heard.

Before leaving the venue, Joshua informed them again.

"A wedding invitation would just be delivered to each of you."

Only the caterer was left behind the venue while everybody went home.

This time the planning was done by the whole family of three, though they were still unwed. The planning of the wedding was discussed every meal time as Joshua was tied in his job and Richclar would be about to report on duty as her leave of absence was almost over. Both Joshua and Joshclar were telling her to extend her leave of absence as they would have their wedding. As expected, Richclar rejected their suggestion.

"I already agreed to the marriage proposal that both of you have been dreaming of. But it does not mean that I would quit working. Both of you and my job as a cop are equally important in my life. You should put that in your mind. I have been working for what I am now, and... My life was even put into danger just to be who I am at this time." She explained earnestly.

Both were in askew as they have no guts to refute the facts of her life that she related with them. They knew that they should be the one to understand her aspiration in life, her needs and her wants. Without knowing it, Richclar was already in the bedroom inspecting the gifts that she returned to Joshua seven years ago. She was also staring with an opened-mouth at her picture plastered on the wall. Then she jolted her head from left to right.

"Waaa, daddy. Mommy escaped from washing the dishes. We will be washing them."

"Oh, why worry? It is a petty chore to be done." Joshua told him this in response.

After a week the gracious loving mother and a submissive fiancee' had travelled in going back to the Capital City to report on duty. Everybody was gaping at the sight in front of them. Their boss who was known to be a ruthless General during an adversity was like a beauty titlest to represent the country for Ms. Universe Beauty Pageant.

When she returned to her work, once again, General Cardo Dimagiba was back to normal being the boss of his men. During her off duty she would be looking for a wedding gown and suits for her son and her fiance. Like before, she would also regularly call her son and Joshua.

"Hon, Can we talk longer than usual? It's about the wedding. I would send the design of the invitation card through your messenger. Feel free to write the names of your choice as our primary and secondary sponsors."

"Okay. Ahhh Josh, I shall also send the image of the suits you and our son would be wearing. Please check the suit of your choice."

"Got it. Have you chosen a gown? Can you also send some images of a gown so we will know if we have the same choice."

"I will." Joshclar.. Baby darling.. I miss you and I love you."

" He's already asleep. How about me? Have you not missed me? I love you.. My darling general."

She laughed heartily and hung up.

A calamity hit the country. The authorities were stirred to help and be compassionate. Some of them were rescuers and fund raisers. Others were engaged in debriefing and rendered medical services. Volunteers were recruited.

Whether she was Richclar Samson or General Cardo Dimagiba, her compassion for her fellows had never faded. It was an innate quality that made her more passionate fulfilling her responsibility as one of the authorities in their country. No wonder she volunteered to be one of the rescuers of the victims of the volcanic eruption. Because of the volcanic eruption, the electricity was affected. Not to mention the fluctuating signal from the cell sites that distribute frequency to every cell phones for communication. Therefore, Richclar's communication with her son and her fiance was likewise affected. Good, she was able to call them before she went to the affected area. She informed them that she was one of those who volunteered to be one of the rescuers of not only human beings but also of the animals.

"Josh, I would be going to the affected area of the volcanic eruption. I and some of my men volunteered as rescuers."

"Darling, be sure to bring with you some masks, eye glasses to protect your eyes, long sleeved, hand gloves, a boots, foods and drinking water. Protect yourself while rescuing them." Her fiance, Joshua reminded her lovingly.

When Richclar's parents learned that she volunteered, they ranted for almost three hours especially Clariss, her mother. They were so worried that they became panicky.

" Joshua, why did you let her go to that affected area? Don't you know that a woman who is about to be wedded is prone to accident?"

"You should have stopped her. If she's a man, okay, it's alright for us. But... She's a woman who was about to get married. My God! (making the sign of the cross), save her from any harm and danger."

Richard and Clariss were alternately talking about their anxiety of Richclar's rescuing deed to the volcanic eruption victims.

" We would like to talk to her. Can you contact her for us?" This was a request from Richard and Clariss.

Joshua told them that there was a difficulty in calling her as the signal of the cell sites was fluctuating. Then he assured them that their daughter was adamant in every way, situation and circumstances. Richclar was almost there for fifteen days. When she returned on her usual duty, she was again faced with a problem. A notorious prisoner was able to runaway from the jail as the jail guard was mauled. He should immediately be captured by hook or by crook. An imminent heinous deed might not be prevented as he was an elusive felon. Therefore, search party was divided into several groups. They were given by the higher officials one month to trap that fugitive.

Days were running so fast that they might run out of time. General Cardo Dimagiba had to hand on in ensnaring the felon. So, she chose two of his toughest men to conduct a secret mission with her to track him down. Her creativity and innovation was once again needed. Based on her research the felon had his habit of hanging out with his underlings in some whoring houses. The three should pretend to be some whores and dressed up as slutty women. They even resorted to strip dancing as there was already a secret report that he was in an underground whoring place. Another mission was given to another group of three to have a sketch of the place to know all the possible portals for eluding. The last day was the strip dancing of General Cardo Dimagiba and her two tough men. Newly hired Security Guards were assigned in every portal who were also her men. A stand by mobile cars were hidden for reenforcement.

The star strip teaser was already secretly replaced by the general. However, she had to be covered by her two men who were also going to strip dance. When the general's performance came, everybody was seduced by her especially when she arched her body, quirked her ass, bent to show her cleavage, ground her hips, and splitted her legs, while her tantalizing eyes with her licking tongue to her open mouth were either synchronically done. As she flipped her head, fingers, hips and legs, the onlookers clapped loudly and screamed hysterically. The venue down the stage where the general and her men were strip dancing was in uproar and unruly when a man was also strip dancing toward the stage. One of his men with her on stage was wearing a spectacles which in reality its lens can zoom in an image even from afar. He saw the birthmark of the felon's armpit who was raising his arms as he was brandishing the shirt he undressed from his body. They moved quickly to give each other a warning that the man going up stage while dancing was the felon they're going to capture. The general did not wait for long as she met him as he stepped from the last step of the stair to the platform. She quickly wrapped him her body in coil while her two men hurriedly put the hand cuff on his hands while the other was on his feet. Then a gun shot echoed in that underground whoring House that urged everybody to lie face down on the filthy stinky floor.

That evening mission was accomplished. The general was quickly garbed with a long thick robe by his fiance who was at the back stage. He rushed travelling to the Capital City when his fiancee' told him of the mission they had to accomplish. A victory party was done in the house of the general. Before they were heavily drunk, she distributed the wedding invitation and informed them of her one year leave of absence.

The church was decorated with flowers as it was the month of May. The wedding march was started with the entrance of the secondary sponsors, followed by the primary sponsors. Everybody was looking for the bride but she was not at the closed door. Then Joshclar came inside the church leaving its door ajar. He walked holding the Bible with his two hands raised upward. The suit that they chose made him more handsome. When Joshclar caught the attention of the crowd, that was the time when the door was widely opened. The most glamorous bride got inside and proceeded toward the altar as a music from a piano was played. Everybody's eyes could not take away from her including his men who was still delusional knowing that they were deceived by her disguise as General Cardo Dimagiba. This was also the reason why Joshua didn't give in to a military wedding... He preferred Richclar to be in a wedding gown just like any other brides... He wanted her to be a woman.

Around ten feet away from the altar, Richard Samson and Clariss Dimagiba Samson handed over their daughter, General Richclar Dimagiba Samson to the Doctor of Philosophy, Joshua Sison de la Cruz to take their oath as husband and wife in front of God Almighty.

Richclar's confusion of her gender was effaced by Joshua whose unconditional love for her was never gone.
