I pulled into the school parking lot after I entered the gates. Luckily I made it with ten minuets to the first bell. Ya because you speed all the way here for no reason at all. My mind decided to refute my observation at my arrival time.

I looked for a parking spot among all the Range Rovers and Mercedes-Benz's. I grimaced as I realized that I stood out in the car.

As I parked the car in the front row, I grab my back pack, purse, and got out. I looked around at all the other students who were starting to flow into the school out of the oncoming weather. I noticed that everyone was looking at me. Well I did just drive a very expensive car to school.

I didn't let it faze me as I walked among the sea of colorful shirts.

I learned that the different colored shirts, and some dresses since the girls were allowed to wear school approved dresses, were to represent where the students stood academically. Talk about being called out for your grades.

White shirt for the average C or below students, yellow or green for the B students, purple or red for the A students, and blue or black for the honorary/college course students. It was a new concept to bring color to the school and encourage students to do better with their grades. I didn't pay attention to anyone's color as I walked into the office.

I got my schedule from the front desk lady. She asked a guy who was wearing a bright purple shirt to show me my locker and all my classes. I took note of the boys uniforms. They wore a variation of suit jackets, vests, or suspenders over their shirts. They had black slacks and their choice of shoes. I could also see that most wore a tie but a few, including Alex who was showing me around, wore bow-ties. He was very chatty about the school as he showed me around.

I noticed the fact that he started making out with what looked like the football captain, judging by his varsity jacket, when I put my things in my locker. Not long after, the announcement for the students to go to the theater hall sounded through the speakers. I walked with Alex and Jack, his boyfriend, to the hall. I sat with them and the rest of the football team. Luckily I got a seat next to the isle.

The chatter once everyone filled in was defining. I seen Cody and Jake walk to the seats in front of me. They turned in their seat to talk to me before the assembly started.

"Hey when did you get here?" Cody asked.

"Oh like ten minuets ago. Thank you for leaving me at home." I said with as much sass as I could muster.
