A Descent Warrior

Diane's POV :-

As soon as the screen appeared,the only thing it showed was that 'mysterious book' that the Girl was fighting us for.

"This is 'The Secret Mage'.." Merlin said with a small.smirk on her face like she found a new toy to play with or something like that.

I shared a confused nod with king and Merlin continued. "When Bartra first showed us the book,I felt it was familiar but I couldn't put my fingure on it.." She looked at the girl and muttered"But when I saw the blue crystal on the book shattering  in contact with moonlight ,I remembered when I last read about it." Merlin gave a nod to Meliodas who now seemed serious all of a sudden.

" This book" Meliodas's voice was very deep and I could feel a certain wavering in his tone. " was the collaborative work of the very first Demon lord and Supreme Diety of this world."

"Its existance was just an hypothesis..I can't believe its real.." His sudden reply startled me but I wasn't the only one , King, Ban,Ellaine,Gowther and even Merlin were looking at him.with terrified eyes..

"Th- The first De-Demon Lord" King said "And..Supreme Diety..!?" I said in a tone which was same as whispering.

" Yes.. And no one yet knows what's inside it...However,its name is mentioned several times in the various forbidden books and records I've read." When Merlin said 'forbidden' we gave her an accused look but she just sighed with a calm look ,however back to the topic ..Ban finally snapped out of his stance state.

"What do you mean..written in 'forbidden records' ? " His question really amazed me..To think that he pointed out Merlin's words so sharply..Usually he would be the last one to do that.

"Umhm..That's exactly as you're thinking."Merlin turned to the screen and the image of book changed to that of a girl we all knew very well...it was little Merlin, and she was standing in front of a HUGE shelf wall full of books.

" There are various secrets in the world which are never accessed to common people ,magicians or even great rulers as per to the rules set by the leaders of different clans."  She continued as we thoroughly listened to her."Luckily we in Bellial were free from those rules,however, we too had our limits in accessing knowledge from the forbidden manuscripts and records." Merlin smirked proudly "But I.. ...was an exception."

She moved her hand and the little Merlin on the screen began changing shape into the one we knew now. " With centuries of research and studies , slowly but gradually I was able to gain the keys to open those forbidden locks. I was able to maintain a flow of thorough knowledge and connect the dots of various mysterious happenings of the world... ..And find a cure to some of them." She shared a nod with Meliodas who was now staring at us.

"Umhm.. And this is the reason.. ...why she was able to find a cure to Elizabeth and my curse." Whatever Merlin said was now making a sense to me..Although it wasn't at all related to the situation we were in but now it made Merlin's image more clear to us..in a good way ofcourse.

" But this book remained one of the most untouched topic of the history. Although its obvious for people to not waste time on things that are even not sure to be existing... ..But still it always sounded strange to me  as why some aquaintances of mine ever talked about it." Merlin moved the screen and showed us the image of a room where many people, which seemed to be elder magicians by look, were sitting around a huge table having some discussion and suddenly a few of them rose in anger shouting and arguing with one another but there was no sound.

"Wha-What are they saying?" I asked just before Ban was going to and he gave me a glare for that,but I ignored him. Merlin smiled before the screen finally vanished and it was again dark around us.

" Oh..Sorry.. looks like my hand slipped.." Merlin's expression change all of a sudden. " Don't worry..you'll surely know someday when the right time comes." Merlin's words clearly confused us ,and it always brings trouble whenever she says things like that..Huh..

It took a while for our vision to get clear and now our gazes were fixed at the girl. She looked tired and.. ..cute but I shouldn't be fooled by her inoccent look. We need proper assurance and explaination once she awakens.

Lil Serah's POV :-

I was thproughly listening to what big sis Merlin was saying. Although I wasn't able.to look at the screen because my eyes closed,I was amazed to hear that she knew quite a lot about the book.

But.after Big sis Merlin shared all her cards..Everyone's gaze now fell upon me. I chill escaped my spine as I tried hard to snore and act.They must be very angry..and they might now grab me by my hair and beat me.

But this isn't gonna happen..because Meli was right beside me.

"To think.. Such a girl would be behind something like this so desparately.. Something's off with this book." Ban uncle said with a slight sarcastic voice towards 'Big Me'😑...

"Yeah.. I mean she's a decent warrior. That's what you mean right?" Uncle King's words suddenly gave me a proudful feeling however Uncle Ban didn't replied..

"She sure was sent by someone..from the looks of it.." Big sis Merlin was right. 'Big Me' was indeed sent by our Master. She didn't do.anything for her ownself, everyone must be thinking bad of her now but I can't tell them anything.

[I have to find out how come I was able to exchange with 'Big Me' like that..] I thought as they continued their conversation.

" I considered that too.. ..We have to find more information about what's going on.." Sister Diane sighed at me before speaking again "But clearly..I don't think anyone of the two will tell us anything..right?"

"That we'll find out once she wakes up.." I could feel Meli smiling at me as he softly stroke his fingures into my hair.

"For now let's rest everyone.. We'll talk tomorrow..sounds good?" He asked in his cheerful.voice.

"Yawwnnn... Sounds good to me though!" Sister Dianne answered.

"She sure brought the sweat out of everyone,doesn't she?" Uncle Ban mocked at me again but I was glad to hear his normal tone.

"You sure its safe..?" Uncle king asked in a hesitating voice and was answered with a sudden "Of course it is!!" by everyone..I was glad..really glad that they believe Meli that much.

These sure were the type of people you called 'friends'.

Meli took me to a room which appeared to be his own and laid me down on his bed. He covered me with a blanket and without even realising..I Slept.
