Bypassing the Mainframe

When Tristan took out the object, in the ruin, the AI was shocked. Tristan suddenly transformed into his Energy body and injected energy into the object which began glowing and the Totem stopped working, a door opened to the left side of the hall.

"How can you have an energy form? I sensed a physical body earlier!" The AI was shocked.

Tristan smiled and walked past the door and left. Meanwhile, in the other room, the AI convened, but its mood was terrible.

"Now for the next test, a test of perseverance." The AI said.

Someone commented smugly. "So White Star failed huh." When the AI heard that she got even more angry.

Meanwhile, Tristan had entered a long corridor and directly bypassed the testing area. He now arrived in the proper research institute area.

Suddenly, the AI arrived with hostility on its face. "Show me identification."

Tristan again pulled out a second object and turning into energy form, injecting energy into the object. Soon, he was permitted entry. The actual use of the objects was to be biometric confirmers used by the AI, however, Tristan was forcibly breaking through by making the objects accept his pure energy.

He now arrived in the final research area of the institute. The AI asked. "What is your purpose?"

"I've come to collect information and see if there is a totem that is good for me to use."

"All the totems will choose you, you are completely compatible. You have the strongest and widest plate ever seen in the history of the civilization. You could even match that person." The AI said.

"That person?" Tristan asked, but the AI only silently looked on. There were five data crystals that needed a key to unlock. Fortunately, Tristan had all five of them.

He went to the first data crystal and unlocked it. It contained all the knowledge about Totems, their history, how it was discovered, the fundamentals about the ability and the classifications. The totems were basically a specific stream of innate talents that took the form of totems and tattoos. The seventh civilization did a phenomenal work in going into extreme depth in this small sub class of innate talents to become a very potent force.

The second data crystal was a classification of all known totems in the seventh civilization, training methods as well as tactics and weaknesses, full of analysis.

The third data crystal was actually a portable VR universe. It was a game that existed during the seventh civilization that was used to record battle memories of combatants. They could be used to practice.

The fourth data crystal was a history of the technology as well as research work by the institute to fuse totems and create complicated totems as well as to try to synthesize the fundamental forms of totems.

The final data crystal was a history of the third civilization, enemies, wars, battles, famous warriors as well as locations of potential ruins in distant worlds which were bases.

Tristan quickly collected the five data crystals, each were extremely useful and would be worth an insane amount in the right hands.

Now he went to the final chamber. This chamber hosted all the Totem talents. But before he looked at the totems he used the [Seventh Civilization Master Key] on the mainframe and using it immediately became the owner of the base.

The AI looked at Tristan and shook her head. "Now that you've become the master of the base you should know the reason why this base was built.

At the peak of the Totem era, research station zero was secretly commissioned to create the most powerful totem, through the melange of various totem powers. There were many experiments done and the program, despite being secretive had a lot of backlash because of ethical concerns."

The AI was showing a holographic recording of the events to Tristan.

"During the period of Research Station Zero's active status, several extremely powerful totems were created and given to powerful geniuses in the best families with the best talent.

In the process of creating these totems, many children with totems were used as experimental subjects whose totems would be forcibly modified and cause extreme defect. One such kid had a totem that had the power of reinforcement, it could use other totems to temporarily become stronger. However, his totem was forcibly messed with and the result was the catastrophe of the human civilization.

The kid was as talented as you. His plate was made of gold and only slightly less wider than yours. He had the perfect foundation, and unfortunately his modified Totem was also the most perfect totem for devastation.

From being a temporary reinforcement using other totems, the totem was modified to one that could completely devour other totems and become stronger. The name of the Totem was Black Hole.

The person with the totem went crazy and started a massacre to end all massacres. One by one he killed totem warriors and devoured their totems to become stronger and more perfect. His hate knew no bounds and he would kill anyone with a totem. He was eventually titled Totem Slayer.

This research station was built to research totems that could defeat the Totem slayer. At his strength, he was vastly above in strength than all others and could get infinitely stronger as long as there were more totem warriors who could rise to his strength to slaughter. Thus we had to build something that behaved like a totem but was not one.

With the help of research, a tattoo was manufactured that could potentially at least rival the devouring totem. The devouring totem is a complex totem that uses the power of attraction and absorption to increase the power of the attraction. Thus we have created a tattoo that controls the force of repulsion, and instead of absorbing totems, it absorbs metal essence. As long as you can feed it precious metals, the repulsive abilities will grow stronger.

However, till today, no one was found alive with a talent who could rival the Totem Slayer, until now when you've become the master of the research station."

Tristan frowned. "Is the totem slayer is still alive?"

The AI shook its head. "It is impossible know that from here."
