Rabbit Exercise

When one hour passed and Tristan had maintained the same posture, the rabbit teacher was stunned. However, the old rabbit didn't seem too impressed. Tristan was too frustrated to notice. He was filled with increasing levels of shock that he was struggling to hold this same position for only an hour. He gritted his teeth and steadied himself.

The class had finished for the day and other customers of the dojo had already returned home. Tristan was still in the exercise room. He was practicing the fifth move now, holding it for two hours. The positions were easy initially, but their difficult kept increasing rapidly. He felt like not a single muscle within his body was left unstressed by these exercises.

The old man was scolding Tristan. "You are struggling so much, keep a steady position! Your stand should be stable, I can easily hear your minor tremors! Useless!"

The teacher had also retired, it was now only the old rabbit and Tristan. The old man was constantly slamming the stick at joints to correct Tristan's position. Finally when the seventh position was completed for two hours, the old man nodded.

"Okay, you have done the basic exercises. Now you have to learn to mix these exercises together. Do you want to take a rest or will you continue?" The old rabbit asked.

"I am fine, I'd like to continue." Tristan had self healing and so it wasn't too hard for him to continue. If possible he would like to be in time for the first day at university.

The old rabbit nodded. It too had noticed that Tristan seemed to have some kind of regenerative talent. He took Tristan to a machine operated room. The machine was a complicated obstacle course with diagonal walls and springs, moving platforms and traps in a tunnel.

"You have to land at the exact positions as indicated. When there is a red circle you must touch it with your hand, green circle foot, blue circle means elbow and yellow circle means knee. The machine is always moving randomly, so no two runs are the same. You must complete a run across this tunnel without missing any of the circles. I am going to sleep now, I'll come back tomorrow to see your progress." The old rabbit said and walked away.

Tristan began the machine and immediately entered the tunnel. Within five minutes he had already failed. "This really requires perfect coordination of every inch of the body, it is a flexibility training of the muscles of the highest order." Tristan thought, before heading in again.

The entire went by and night turned to day. Soon a yawning old rabbit came to the machine, expecting Tristan to be sleeping, but instead, he saw a young man drenched in absolute sweat rushing around the tunnel of contraptions like a maniac. The old man watched quietly and Tristan was easily crossing the obstacles and creating different maneuvers for each trap, clearing the tunnel in under a minute.

Tristan noticed the old rabbit. "Old man, can the difficulty of this machine be increased?" The old rabbit nodded. "Come with me. I have a tunnel which I used to use for my own practice."

Tristan was feeling good, his control over his body had increased tremendously over the past day and a half alone.

Soon the old rabbit and Tristan arrived at another tunnel. "This looks like an identical tunnel to the previous one." Tristan said. The old rabbit smiled and then pressed a button. Soon the entire tunnel was submerged underwater.

"Now complete the tunnel underwater." The old rabbit smirked. Tristan's face immediately went purple, but he didn't hesitate and began. However, he immediately felt incredible difference between the two tunnels. The difficulty had increased over a hundred fold.

Moving in water created drag and Tristan had to now consider this drag within his movements. Quick movements would also cause shredding of his muscles as they didn't behave the same way underwater.

The old rabbit smiled and went to his office, let Tristan continue to train. He had been worried about the child abductions and was investigating the situation.

A day passed and it was night. The old rabbit went to the tunnel to tell Tristan to rest, but what he saw stunned him. Tristan was freely moving through the water like a dolphin and creating maneuvers once again clearing the tunnel rapidly. This was even better than the old rabbit in his own youth.

The old man called Tristan. "You've practiced well. You have acquired good control over your body training for the past couple of days. Keep training the seven exercises later on in your life as well. Now you need to learn how to apply what you learnt here... Go to this Carrot Shopping Center. It is an area crowded with Rabbit clan members and especially kids. There are few humans in that side of the city. I want you to go and stand in the most crowded area, without scaring anyone away.

If you scare people it could trigger a hysteric stampede, so this is a dangerous task with heavy responsibility. Stay in the most crowded area for a day, and you will have passed."

Tristan nodded. Later he went to a cafe to order a drink. He had been shrinking his presence completely and this time he realized that the rabbits in the streets as well as the cafe were indifferent to him, though an occasionally perceptive rabbit would suddenly look at him, but then shake their head as if they were mistaken.

The next day Tristan went to the Carrot Shopping Center. He quietly entered the crowded area and simply sat at the fountain that took center stage. He had completely hidden his presence and simply sat there for the entire day. Often small rabbit children would come around to play near the fountain, but they didn't notice him at all, which satisfied Tristan.

As he day was about to end, he saw something. Rather, he saw someone. "Isn't this the mission target?" Tristan thought. "Looks like this is the brother of the principal's favorite student. What is wrong with his student? Her brother doesn't have a girlfriend so she is afraid he is gay? She should let him live his own life." He thought and shook his head.

He decided to follow the rabbit anyway amd complete the requirements of the mission.
