When Leah Shen met Alex Lee

- Golden Wolf mansion, at noon -

Damian Shen had just arrived at the mansion while holding a bright little girl who was hugging him tightly. As soon as he heard the news of her safe-coming home, he went to his mansion to pick her up.

Without a care of Marilyn protest, he left with Leah as fast as the wind, riding the black beauty horse.

He had missed his little girl and wanted to spend his time with her but he was unwilling to leave the still unconscious Venn Lee, hence as a solution, Leah would stay at this mansion with him, of course, that was after he got permission from the 'Young Master'.

Damian gaze at her with a mesmerizing look and softly said," Leah baby..., we would stay here for a couple of days until aunty Venn Lee awake from her coma, unless if you don't agree, then you would stay with mommy instead!"

Leah Shen paused for a moment before answering with a bright smile," I would stay with you, daddy!"

She smiled outwardly while deep down within she was in great affliction with the thought that the other woman would take her dad away from her and her mother.

They entered the mansion while Alex Lee was descending from the stair. Damian Shen was lifting down his little princess and said," Leah.., meet the young master, the owner of the house!"

Alex Lee was scanning the little girl thoroughly with dislike, mysteriously, he felt a sense of loneliness when he saw 'father and daughter' showing their affection deeply.

Without waiting for their interaction, Damian Shen went straight up to the stair to accompany Venn Lee while saying," Leah baby..., don't be a stranger, the young master had promised me to be your guide..., I would see both of you on dinner time!"

"Hello..., my name is Leah Shen..., How do you do, young master?", Leah greeted with a sunny bright smile and extended her hand to shake his hand.

Alex Lee paused for a moment before he answered with formality," Nice to see you, Leah Shen!", and unable to stop himself, he added," So how do claim the Shen name when your daddy didn't even marry your mommy?"

When the word out, Alex Lee felt remorseful at his harsh insulting words and was expecting the little girl to cry, instead she answered cheerfully," My mother last name was also a Shen, but daddy would eventually found a way to change my illegitimate status..., maybe by marrying my mom?!"

Her counterattacks word had stiffened Alex Lee with a wave of distress and he caught a slight of naughtiness smile when the little girl wink at him with a nobility composure. Definitely, his half-sister was no angel, and he would pay heed to her so he would be the winner in the war of 'Who's would marry my daddy!'.

- Shen Residential, the backyard -

Marilyn Shen's woman perception had given her a spider-tingle sense that a woman had entered inside Marshal Shen's heart. She had been suspicious for a while but since she never saw him with the other woman, she had ignored her conjecture.

Damian Shen had just left with their little princess, but when she saw the silhouette of his body while riding the house tandemly with their daughter diminishing slowly, she came to the conclusion that she had lost the fight before the bell actually rings. However, her unhappiness had made her thought of many plans of how to make the other woman left him willingly or forcefully.

Even though he didn't love her, it was good enough to stay with him and her daughter as a whole happy family, and she would not give up on her happiness, thus she would use any measures to get rid of the outsider.

Lost in thought, she didn't hear Commander Luo's presence when he was sitting on the bench next to her until he announced softly while trembling with tears," Your brother..., he died!"

Agasht by the news, unexpectedly she was crying like a baby. Her tears had triggered Mark Luo into a crying mode again, for the longest moment they cried to morn the person that had influenced their life greatly.

When they finally calm down, Mark Luo said, " Your brother had entrusted me with a lifetime task of protecting you and your daughter...., what do you know of your origin?"

Marilyn Shen shook her head and said, " None of them, I don't even remember my brother name or my maiden last name..., I did get a flashback of hiding inside the empty wine barrel..., I lost all my memory before I was eight, but I could feel that the leader was my brother the moment I saw him but nothing besides that.."

"Would you like me to refresh your memory? But promise me that you would not act irresponsibly after you heard of your origin since your brother had his own reasons to hide it from you.

She nodded in agreement and from then on Mark Luo told her everything from beginning to end and leaving nothing behind.

At the end of the story, she finally understands her brother's ambition to build the rebel's operation which had driven him to the point of no return and made him crazed with madness.

Enraged, she felt her whole body burning with inferno fire and vowed to herself, that she would find a way to revenge her family smartly. Maybe she could convince the powerful marshal to help her if he knew her story. But everything had to come into place first. In addition, she had to plan her strategy carefully to gain Marshal Shen's trust and help.

- Emperor Palace -

Marshal Lang had sent a courier to inform the Emperor of the extermination of the rebels organization. The Emperor had been really joyful with the triumphant news. He had planned a banquet to celebrate his 'Golden Jubilee' birthday next month.

He should exterminate the last descendant at the Lang clan, Shane Lang when he had the chance 20 years ago, but he had thought it would be a better way to torment him for the wrong of his father by scarring his face and castrated his manhood, thus living was a worse fate than dying, but unbeknownst to him, he had built the rebel organization to kill him.

Luckily his loyal powerful Marshall had helped him destroyed his nemesis. He was grateful that he had thought that the rebels were the culprit of his parent's murder because he couldn't afford to have him as an enemy as he owned half of the power of the kingdom. At the party, he would bestow him with an antic treasure and probably a couple more horses for his gratification.

Smugly, he was satisfied with the outcome, he had plotted hard to be the Emperor so he deserved a blessed ending for his skillful mastermind.

When his illegitimate status was uncovered by the Lang family, the late emperor had almost killed him for his newfound identity but he begged him and he had given him mercy.

However, he had to step down from his position as the crown prince and his cousin, Shane Lang's father, would replace his position.

So, he poisoned the late emperor and annihilated the Lang's Clan.

Now he had sat on the throne for 20 years and he was the most powerful person in the country.

He was satisfied that no one knows of his bad deed now that the last descendant of the Lang's family had died with his secret.

He beamed with contentment and laugh evilly.
