『Sly Slayer』

Naboo was at peace, the parades continued and children danced in the streets with multi-colored ribbons and handfuls of flower petals.

Ento with his pack on his back, walked side by side with Vaylin, a leg of a grilled nuna chick in his hand that was almost half eaten. "This meat is really tender!" He chuckled, talking with his mouthful.

Vaylin grinned as he was enjoying himself. This place, filled with song and joy, it briefly overshadowed the prison she had been held in just hours ago. Her eyes trailed over the young peasantry, wealthy and the nobles. They all mingled together, singing and making sound.

It reminded her of the parades on Zakuul, the celebrations when their Knights returned from the Raids on the Greater Galaxy. How the credits and goods taken from the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire fueled their prosperity.

Other people suffered in order for others to enjoy themselves. Yet here, they used what they already had in order to celebrate and live happily. Even though this was just a celebration of freedom, it still amazed her.

Biting at her lower lip, she watched as Ento brought the nuna drumstick to her mouth. Her eyes flickered from him and back to the stick, before biting into it.

She could taste all the individual flavors from the seasonings to the tender dark meat of the reptavian creature. Vaylin didn't hesitate to taste the oils and grease left on her lips, accidentally swallowing before she could savor the flavor. Her eyes narrowed on the leg.

"Hey, I asked if you wanted one earlier, didn't I?" Laughed Ento as she reached over to take his wrist, to take another bite from the foodstuff in his hand. However, he didn't resist, watching her as she bit into the leg again. This time she had tore off a larger peace with her teeth, even taking some of the flavorful skin.

"Sho ghewd..." Vaylin spoke with her mouthful, not being as audible as Ento in the process.

Shaking his head at her words, "Yup," his eyes trailed off into the crowd. He had this strange feeling they were being watched.

The two continued to walk through the crowds as Vaylin polished off the meat. One of the children ran over to them, smiling up at their faces as they held out two colorful ribbon on a stick for the duo to take.

Vaylin and Ento looked to one another for a moment, then back at the child. They chuckled lightly and each took hold of the ribbons... As the child would then swipe the thick bone from Vaylin's hands and abscond with it into the crowds.

"That.. Was strange..." Vaylin commented quietly.

Shrugging Ento pursed his lips, "Probably going to put it in a soup or something, who knows."

"Or they're just throwing it out for us?" Vaylin added another idea with a giggle snort as they tried to assume what the child was going to do with the bone.

"Improbably," Ento poked his tongue out at her for a few seconds before turning his head to look behind himself. It still felt as if someone was watching them, and whoever it was, didn't seem all too friendly.

"You okay?" Vaylin didn't seem to be sensing it, or she was and was completely ignoring it.

The teen moved to turn his head toward his companion for a brief instance before looking away, "I feel like we're being watched..." There was too many people to filter through in order to determine which direction they were in, they were that close.

"It's... Not that Sith you spoke of, is it?" Vaylin feared the Sith, mainly because they reminded her of her father due to the fact that all he cared for was his power.

"No, this one is much... Smaller," Whoever it was, this person wasn't radiating the sensitivity of a fully fledged Sith Lord. Heck, it was hardly noticeable by most Jedi it was so well hidden.

Lightly flailing the ribbon around, Vaylin nodded to his observation before shifting her eyes through the crowd along with him. "If we separate ourselves from everyone else, they might attack us once we're isolated."

"Good idea," Ento smirked to himself as he figured that would probably be the best idea in order to draw whoever it was out. If it was too hard, all he had to do was just retreat and get Master Dooku. He didn't even think about what would happen if he couldn't run away.

"Wait... What?" Vaylin narrowed her eyes on the boy, "You want them to attack us?"

"Well, if we go to the Palace, they'll just sit in waiting... For the perfect chance to strike." Ento assumed that whomever was watching them and not attacking them in a crowded street, was probable patient enough to do so.

Vaylin clicked her teeth together hearing this before glancing over her shoulder, catching a glimpse of a person staring at her from a distance.

It was a woman, with white eyes and a bald head. She appeared to be a senator's aide, but she was not accompanying anyone. Vaylin, not recognizing them, watched as they disappeared the moment someone briefly blocked her view.

"Huh..." Vaylin was a bit spooked, but since her friend Ento was here, fear wasn't going to reach her... At least not for the time being. Turning her attention to the boy, as he grabbed her wrist, she blinked. "Eh?"

Ento lead her immediately through the sandstone structured City of Theed, blatantly searching out unoccupied areas, which were very few. As they made it to the archway leading out of the main plaza.

From the streets of Theed parallel to the Palace Plaza, the two entered the Parnelli Museum of Art which was hardly being tended to as most of the security forces were outside. The building was built with Sandstone like the majority of the other rotunda buildings in the City with an emerald colored roof held up by several colunms.

"Whoa..." Vaylin exclaimed as she looked over one of the Royal Tapestries which were on display. This massive building was filled with paintings and sculptures of the Naboo.

However they weren't alone.

Gazing at one of the many paintings was a Muun wearing a breathing mask, Hego Damask, a man otherwise known as Darth Plagueis. However unlike with Palpatine, Ento didn't gain any malicious premonitions.

This left Ento clueless of the alien's true identity for the time being.

Wheezing violently, the Muun paused for a moment before turning to look towards the two teens, flexing his eyelids at their presence. Vaylin was powerful, he could sense her immediately, and even recognize the darkside that was fading from her eyes.

Sensing someone else coming, Damask of the Banking Clan casually made his exit through the doors on the opposite side of the main room.

Vaylin and Ento both turned their heads, before shifting their bodies to face the person who had been following them. The two teens dropped their ribbon sticks.

"Who... Are you...?" Ento stepped forward, his fingers itching around the hilt of his lightsaber.

Standing in the archway to the entrance of the Art Museum was a Umbarran. A woman with pitch white irises and beady black pupils. Her very stare inspired fear in Vaylin the moment their eyes locked... Briefly paralyzing her where she stood.

"My name... Is Sly Moore... You exposed my Master, destroyed our Grand Plan!" The woman spurred on as she charged forward, drawing a vibroblade from within her senatorial dresses sleeve. "FoR tHaT YoU wILl PaY!"

Seeing the way she lumbered towards him, Ento frowned. This girl, this woman, appeared to have loved Palpatine and this was her attempt at vengeance for dooming his cause.

"Pitiful..." With the hand opposite reached out towards the woman, Ento sent a blast of golden and white lightning arcing out towards the woman.

In the moment Vaylin regained her senses, she was able to free herself from the fear Sly had induced her into with a simple stare. "Aaah! What the frick?!" She'd exclaim.

Using the force, the Umbaran increased their speed and leapt above the arcing lightning attack. "You will have to do better than tha---"

PeW! In the hand that was once grasping onto the hilt of his partially concealed saber, was an E-5 blaster rifle with a smoking barrel. Moore's body came clambering to the ground, as she had been airborne, her vibroblade sliding over to the boy's feet.

Ento's gaze locked on the woman, aiming the weapon at the downed alien, and fired several more bolts into her corpse as to make sure she was dead. He felt no guilt over killing her.

"What are we going to do?" Vaylin's head quickly darted into her friend's direction.

"We were never here," Ento used his ability of Mechu Deru to disassemble the E-5 blaster rifle and tucked it into his pack. Once he was done, he made his way towards the doorway Damask had used to exit.

"Se-seriously?" Vaylin stuttered over her words as she quickly followed him out of the Museum.

No one had heard the blaster fire due to the amount of noise outside. Ento felt nothing from the passing of the woman, if anything, she had it coming for aligning herself with the Sith Lord.

As the two began to merge into the crowds, Ento noticed from the corner of his eye that the Muun from earlier was now watching them from afar. "Seems we have someone else's attention now..." Huffing lightly, Ento took hold of her wrist as they made their way towards the Palace, thinking it'd be best to simply wait out the rest of the celebrations before they join the Queen.
