Huan Mingyun tossed and turned as she tried to get some sleep, she could only cry tearlessly as she tried her best to imagine that her bed was made out of soft foam but reality is "hard", her bed was really "hard".

Enough was enough, Huan Mingyun huffed and puffed as she sat awake on her bed. She massage her head as she look at Gao Changgong's direction, the lad seems to be sleeping peacefully.

'Oh how I wish to... *creepy laughter*' Huan Mingyun who was sleep deprived almost went crazy but luckily she was able to stop herself before doing some irreversible action.

She huffed and puffed as she wore her "small" shoes that fit her small dainty feet just right, she grab the white furred cloak on the chair that belonged to Gao Changgong before getting out of the tent.

Cold breeze blew on her the very moment she step out of the tent, her pale cheeks were tinted red because of the cold wind. She rubbed her hands together to warm them as she walk around for fresh air, she eventually ended up going to the stable were Xiao Ma was tied to.

*Neigh~*

"Good evening, Xiao Ma. You can't sleep too? Well, it sure is a cold and sleepless night for the two of us." Huan Mingyun petted Xiao Ma and took out some apples for him. "Xiao Ma, is it good?"

Xiao Ma neighs as acknowledgment as if he could understand her, Huan Mingyun softly laughed as she continued to pet Xiao Ma.

Tired of standing around, Huan Mingyun sat on the stable's fence and look at the endless night sky. The sky was full of bright stars each with different scale of brightness, Huan Mingyun who was from the modern era had never seen so many and beautiful stars before. As if enchanted, she reach out her hand in the air as if she was trying to grasp the brightest star but it was just a faraway dream.

"Xiao Yun, what are you doing here?"

Huan Mingyun quickly looked back and saw that it was Gao Changgong with his mask still on of course, she smiled.

"Xiao Su, why are you still awake?" Huan Mingyun urged him over with her hand.

"I should be asking you that." Gao Changgong replied as he walk towards her, he notice upon walking closer her that Xiao Ma was chewing on to something.

"I gave him apples." Noticing his gaze, Huan Mingyun quickly explained.

"Is that so? Why are you here by the way? I was worried when I saw that you were missing when I woke up, you should be careful when your here. Assassins sometimes attack us in the middle of the night, you might get hurt."

"Don't worry too much but thanks for the concern anyway, its just that I could not sleep so I decided to sneak away for some fresh air and somehow ended up here. Xiao Ma is a good company by the way." Huan Mingyun smiled as she took another apple and gave it to Xiao Ma who happily ate it.

"You'll spoil him that way." Gao Changgong helplessly said as she watch the interaction between the two.

"Its just a one time, I won't be able to spoil him since I'll be leaving tomorrow." After some thought Huan Mingyun added. "I mean today."

"En. Don't worry, I'll send you back home I promise." Gao Changgong said, his facial features hidden in the dark night.

"Look! A shooting star! Let's make a wish." Huan Mingyun said excitedly when she saw a shooting star pass by, it was rare to see shooting stars in the modern era so she was a little excited when she saw one.

Closing her eyes, Huan Mingyun clasp her hands together as she made a wish. Seeing how serious she was about it, Gao Changgong also followed suite and made a wish. After making a wish, Huan Mingyun looked at Gao Changgong.

"What did you wish for, Xiao Su?" Huan Mingyun asked wanting to know his wish.

"My wish? I wish that this country would one day have peace, war only brought endless sufferings not only to the soldiers but also the civilians. That is why I wish for peace, peace for this world." Gao Changgong said with melancholic voice.

"I hope that your wish comes true." Huan Mingyun gently said feeling heartache for him.

"Thank you." Gao Changgong said as a peaceful smile surfaced on his lips.

Seeing him like this made Huan Mingyun's heart ache for him because before he could see the peaceful world that he dreams about, he will die an unfair death first.

Seeing her idol who was the most handsome but tragic Prince during Ancient times, Huan Mingyun who knew what his end will be like was unwilling to see the heroic kind General have such a terrible and unfair end. That was why she swore at that moment that she will do her best to help him, she will do her best to change his destiny at any cost!
