Lost all hopes

All this while, when Jinjing was contemplating inside the room, Liang was nervously walking to and fro in the hallway outside the room.

At times, he would bite his nails or simply clutch the railing and sometimes he would wipe the cold sweat trickling down his forehead. Liang had never felt so nervous in his entire life, not even when he had confessed to Jinjing.

He was worried. His mind was filled with all sorts of negative thoughts.

'did I rush her into this phase?'

'will she break up with me?"

'will she think that I just want her body?"

The longer Jinjing was taking, the more anxious Liang was feeling.

There was a time when he even thought of knocking on the door and asking Jinjing to just forget about whatever he wrote and not do any of those things.

But the bullet had already been fired. There was no retreating now.

Full of nervous energy, Liang pulled on his hair, several strands were even uprooted.

'Water! Water!' he was parched, mentally exhausted. But his legs did not have the strength to go down to the kitchen for water. He just thought to endure it for some more time.

Unable to bear the tension, he put his ear against the door to catch any sound coming from the room.

Thanks to the excellent sound proofing of the room, he was left disappointed.

"ohh God….!!!! Why did I have to do this? What came over me? How will I face her in future if she doesn't open the door today?"

Liang squatted, pulling his hair, his head was resting on his knees.

When he had lost all hopes, accepted his misfortune….

CREAK!!!

He heard the door open.

He lifted his head up and was astonished to see what was before him.

The light coming from the partly opened door, brightened the dimly lit corridor. At that moment, he felt as if the door to paradise had opened and the light of God was shining upon him.

Well even though that feeling was a mere illusion, but the truth was that, at that door, a divine beauty was standing, waiting for him.
