Stay away from her

Liang stood up dusting his expensive suit. His eyes remained fixated on the sight before him.

He saw that Luwei held Jinjing, securely in his arms and Jinjing did not even retaliate.

In a tone full of concern, Luwei asked "Jinnie are you ok? I am sorry babes, I left without you." He continuously caressed her cheeks and none of this settled well with Liang.

'Jinnie ???? What the hell.... '

He lunged forward and tried to pull Jinjing out of Luwei's embrace.

"Mr. Yun let go off Jinjing." he warned him.

Unfazed Luwei kept a strong hold on his best friend. "Mr. Sheng…. I don't know what strings you pulled for my father to collaborate on this project. Since the elders have agreed upon it…. I am going to respect their decision and I request you to conduct yourself like the president you are and stay away from Ms. Lee." He stated his mind clearly.

Letting out a mock laugh Liang spoke "I respect the decision of the elders as well but…. who are you to tell me to stay away from Jinjing? her boyfriend….???" Liang tried to pry out the truth about their relationship.

In an attempt to protect Jinjing, Luwei said "yes she is my girlfriend…. You've any problem with that?" hitting Liang's sore spot. As a natural response, Liang harshly pulled on to Jinjing's arm and asked her in a dark tone "is he telling the truth?? Are the two of you dating??? Jinjing answer me…"

Shoving his hand away, Jinjing left the scene in a hurry, not answering his question and adding to his fury. He was about to follow her when Luwei blocked him off.

"stay away from her" Luwei warned in a low but firm tone.

"you are the one who has no business near her." Liang retorted in a more authoritative manner. "she is mine and I am definitely going to make my way back into her life, wait…. I don't think I ever left." He was full of confidence.

"yeah!!! There may be some truth to that statement of yours…. But what about your fiancée?? I did not deem Mr. Sheng the type who would have extra marital affairs." Taunted Luwei.

"you know nothing and I am not obligated to explain. Stay away from her. See you post lunch for the contract signing." With the final warning, Liang made his way out of the conference room.

Even though he showed that he was not affected, but his entire being was on fire. The scene with Jinjing in Luwei's arms kept flashing before his eyes. The manner in which he was caressing her cheeks, the way he spoke to her and how his hand was intimately rubbing on her back, he was raging with fury.

'I need to talk to Jinjing alone.' He thought to himself, trying to cool down. Acting on his thoughts immediately, Liang entered the room where the lunch was arranged and scanned through it to look for Jinjing but, she was nowhere to be seen. Meili saw her restless brother and marched towards him.

"what happened? Did you talk to her? Did you tell her about your engagement?" looking around she noticed that neither Luwei nor Jinjing were present.

"I am sorry, I couldn't hold Luwei back for very long. Where is Jinjing? what did she say?" so many questions she posed, but Liang did not answer a single one. Rather, he did not hear beyond Meili's question 'did you tell her about your engagement?' the thing he wanted to do the most. But the moment he saw her, he lost all of his rationality. He was so annoyed with himself right now. It was hard as it is, to get her to talk to him and he ruined such a good chance.

Meanwhile in the washroom, Jinjing locked herself up in one of the cubicles and bit her hand to muffle down her cries. She was not hurt by anything Liang said nor by his kiss. She was angry for the fact that, even after such a long time away, even after trying to hate him every day…. His kiss affected her. She felt warm and longing for more. These were not the emotions she wanted to have for him. She did not want to admit that she still loved him.
