Genuinely praiseworthy

Soon enough, Liang slowly fluttered his eyes open. He looked around in the room with hooded eyes, finally training his sight on the people present there.

Mr. and Mrs. Sheng's joy knew no bounds. Mrs. Sheng was crying tears of joy. She promptly thanked God for giving Liang a new lease of life. She could not dare to imagine what it would feel like to lose one of her children. Blinking her eyes, she gestured Meili to come to her. Once Meili reached close to her mother, Mrs. Sheng pulled her into a tight hug. She was grateful, she was blessed with filial children.

In today's time where kids disrespected their parents, got involved in illegal activities and indulged in immoral acts…... her children were different. They valued family over everything. Good in studies, loved each other, put the other before themselves…. She could go on and on praising her kids. Not because they were her children, but because, they were genuinely praiseworthy.

On the other hand, Mr. Sheng, like any other man, was weak in the emoting department. He was overwhelmed with his son's recovery, but found it difficult to express. But his eyes begged to differ. They were moist and showed contentment.

Meili, the Sheng family clown, sprung close to her brother and tried to get all his attention by moving her face before him, trying to fit in his field of sight.

Buzz could only smile at his wife-to-be's shenanigans. While everyone was expressing and talking around, Jinjing's eyes stayed focused on Liang. She saw that he was still out of sorts, trying to figure out what's happening around him or maybe his gaze was not clear. She knew he was feeling uncomfortable; she could sense it.

Squeezing through the Shengs, the doctor gained the center stage once again. He was yet to examine the patient post his recovery.

"excuse me…. We... we still need to examine Mr. Sheng."

Hearing the doctor, the Shengs quickly retreated and made way for the doctor. They were totally embarrassed when they realized how immature their behavior was just now.

The doctor promptly ran a few checks on Liang. Shining light in his pupils, asking him to follow the line of his finger, etc. Meanwhile the nurse noted his temperature, blood pressure and pulse. Everything seemed to be fine.

"Everything seems to be fine. He is following the commands well. The brain activity looks normal. Yet, we will be doing a scan later to be absolutely sure." The doctor informed the eager family and paused to take their queries.

"But why isn't he talking doctor?" Mrs. Sheng asked in a worried tone.

"it is normal for a patient to not talk immediately once he gains consciousness. Give him some time. I am positive Mr. Sheng will talk. Anyway, as I said, the scan will provide a clearer picture."

"Thank you very much doctor." Mr. Sheng stepped forward and shook hands with the doctor.

"It was my good fortune to be of help to the prestigious Sheng family and seeing Young master Sheng recover, added to it." He nodded and excused himself.

Once again, everyone's attention shifted to Liang.
