Jinjing gave Liang time to voice his grievances, only then she would speak. After having poured his heart out, Liang noticed that the other end was silent for a very long time. 'have I been talking to myself for so long?'


"done with your complaining?" a soothing voice travelled into his ears. The effect was so extreme that he immediately felt calm. But the thought of her moving back to city S, made him restless again.


"Liang, it's my job and I have to go back. I will officially hand in my resignation once I go back. I don't intend to stay away from you either… okay?" Jinjing shared her plan with him.


Liang heaved a sigh of relief. "but for how many days will you be gone?" he enquired.


"well I will leave on Sunday evening and I will have to at least serve a notice period of one month. I cannot leave without handing over to the next person… right?" she carefully tried to put her point across. She knew the one-month duration would blow Liang up.


"NO WAY!!!!" just as what she expected.


"you are not leaving me for so long. I am not going to allow this." He said without reservations.


"no way, if you are going, then I am coming too. I will work from the city S branch of Sheng Corp."


"that's amazing…. If you can operate from city S, then I don't need to resign. We can simply live in city S and continue with our Jobs." Jinjing happily suggest.


'haaa??? Now this I did not expect' Jinjing thought.


"why?? What's the problem??" she asked.


"you will not work for another man. After you resign you will be my personal secretary…. A very personal one." The shameless Liang voiced his opinion. His shamelessness did not stop there. He went as far as saying, "you will work for me…. Even better…. Under me…."  Liang chuckled at his own silly humor.


Listening to his unabashed thoughts, Jinjing rolled her eyes and hung up on him.


The disconnected tone, pulled him out from his corrupt thoughts. He pouted, "how can she hang up on me?" he called her again a few times, but she did not answer. He dropped in a message.


"Love, I was just teasing you about working under me… yes but I seriously want you to work for me. I want you to be close to me all the time. I promise I will not mess with you when at work…. Well at least not too much. Please don't be angry. I love you."


Jinjing read that message and smiled. She was not angry or upset with him. She did not want to waste their precious time over petty stuff. Besides, she was confident about her skills of taming him, so she did not need to worry too much.


"okay" she replied and slipped into a peaceful slumber. Whereas, the one-word reply, left Liang tossing and turning the entire night.


'just two more days and our engagement date will be fixed and then I will stick to her like glue…. Correction, super glue' this meagre consoling helped him catch some sleep.


Like the saying goes "whatever makes you sleep at night." Well that seemed to work in his case, because he slept like a baby. He hugged a pillow, taking it to be Jinjing, and dreamt about his blissful future with his lady love.
