Who is this guy..?! To take out my Gible just like that.....and with a Pikachu?!

This Gible was gifted to me by my grandmother after being bred by the best possible parents and he took it out just like that?!

"You seem like a decent trainer, what's you're name?"

"....Cynthia.."

I snap out of my state of shock before looking over at him while Gible struggles to stand up.

My head snaps over to the boy who just humiliated me. I look at him and he seems to be a bit surprised....? I can't tell as his hat obscures his face...

Maybe he has heard of me...I am pretty famous in Sinnoh...

I point over to the black haired boy and yell, "I challenge you to a battle for that Totodile!!"

He looks amused...hmph underestimating me!!? "You won't beat me again that was just a lucky shot!"

"Alright, fine I'll fight you for real." His Pikachu quickly dashes off to his side and the boy's face is still obscured by the shade of his red hat....

Gible slowly waddles over infront of me then the boy says, "Are you sure about this your Gible is hurt.."

Hmph I'll show him not to underestimate the greatest prodigy of Celestic Town!

"She's fine it'll be a quick fight anyways!"

He grabs the edge of his hat before saying, "I know...for me that is." His face is unobscured from the shade of his hat as his pushes it up, showing his piercing blood red eyes that bare into me.

Then I see it, no feel it. A tangible pressure descends from him as I'm sucked into his red eyes. It feels like looking up a mountain top I'll never reach.....I was so absorbed onto it I didn't even notice his Pikachu instantly slam an Iron Tail into Gible's jaw before causing her to collapse into the ground.

"—Eh?!"

What? What was that? Who is this boy?!

Well that was anticlimactic....

I expect more from Cynthia, but I guess she still a kid...

Pikachu hops back on my shoulder as I turn to walk away thinking of challenging her in the future.

"Hey wait!"

I look over my shoulder at her as she is kneeling over her Gible spraying it with a potion before looking at me and yelling, "What's your name?!"

I smirk at her saying,

"Ketchum, Alex Ketchum." Before walking off giving her a short wave as hear her yell,

"Just you wait! I'll fight you against you again one day and beat you."

I pause my steps before looking over to her once again and smirking, "I look forward to it.."

I felt pretty cool after that...I was probably the first kid her age to ever beat her so thoroughly and she's never experienced that before. Heh, I was the future champions first loss...I hope it makes her stronger in the future as I see she was a bit arrogant, I probably taught her some humility.

I pet Pikachu before heading back to the other kids and my the camp. I enter my tent before unbuckling the ball at my hip and release Totodile.

He seems dazed and confused before wearily looking up at me and Pikachu.

I pat his head and say, "Hey buddy I just caught you so we'll be partners from now on." While teaching in my bag to give him some food.

I open my hand up infront of him so he can eat the food from my hand. He quickly loses his caution before chomping my hand, "OW!! Oi, My hand's not the food!!"

After a while he accepts his situation from me bribing him with food while Pikachu laughs at my misfortune.

Hmmm...pretty standard but I'm pretty happy, as Totodile is one of my favorite starters, I mean who wouldn't want a walking alligator!

My teams looking up! Can't wait to actually start my journey, if this was the anime I would have started already but, unfortunately I have to wait til I'm 14...

Argh! Only 4 more years! I'm kinda stressed a bit because I do have to take down Team Rocket and they are probably a lot more brutal in person.

Hopeful it goes well I think while nodding off with Pikachu curled up on my chest and Totodile raiding my snacks.

It's worth it to keep these guys safe....
