Viridian Forest

I arrive back into Viridian City carefully to make sure that no one has spotted me (police) and head over to the Pokemon Center to quickly heal up my Nidoran and Charmander. 

"Nurse, can you heal up my Pokemon?"

"Oh my! You should take better care of your Pokemon!"

"Well, he wanted to go beyond his limits!" I say with a cheeky grin.

"Oh, all right.. but, make sure to take better care of them next time!"

haaa...

.....

.....2 hours later...

"Your Pokemon have been fully restored!"

"Thank you, nurse!"

I go over to pick up Charmander and my newly caught Nidoran's ball and begin to walk out of the center.

Nurse Joy shouts out from her desk, "Please come again!"

I feel like being an asshole so, "Why? Do you want my Pokemon to be injured again?"

"--Eh?! Sir, I didn't mean it that way!"

"Heh, sure you didn't"

Damn, I need to stop being so mean, but I always did wonder why they always say that....

I arrive at the entrance of Viridian Forest or as it's better known as 'The Maze Forest' or not.....nobody calls it that.

I start my steps after passing the wooden sign that marks the beginning of the forest and proceed in my steps.

I take all of my Pokemon out except Nidoran so we can walk together, I don't want to take Nidoran out yet as she is freshly caught and may still be a little feisty.

We all proceed into the forest with Pikachu hopping back onto my shoulder while Charmander and Totodile are ahead singing a little song with each other.

We walk the forest for the entire day, and start to get tired, along the way we have spotted many Pokemon, mainly consisting of Caterpie and Metapod with the occasional Weedle. Whenever we hear of a Beedrill we immediately hide, we aren't scared of them, but we don't want to start another forest fire.

We head to a clearing to set up camp, I begin to set up the tent while Charmander clears out the area, Pikachu patrols the area, and Totodile gathers some firewood.

I finish setting up the tent while getting out the supplies and food. Soon, Totodile returns with a stack of wood and starts to set it up like I taught him. Charmander sets it on fire with his tail and soon Pikachu returns when he smells the pot after I started cooking.

"Alright guys, we are going to let out our new member."

"Remember to be careful because she might still be a bit nervous and I want to build her trust."

They all give me a firm nod and I soon release the Nidoran from her ball.

'NIDO!!"

The Nidoran immediately attacks! It first spots Pikachu and remembers he took down all the other Nidoran, it quickly looks for an escape the opposite way. It then spots Charmander and remembers how tough of an opponent he was and decides to look for another way. She then spots Totodile who tries to greet her happily, and decides that he is the easiest target.

She swiftly lashes at him with a double kick and slams into Totodile jaw while he was trying to chat at her. Pikachu and I don't even bother to interfere while Charmander looks on in dismay. I understand why, as Charmander has never seen Totodile in action other than his happy go lucky mood.

But, little do most people know is Totodile is the direct interpretation of don't disturb the sleeping dragon. The moment the double kick slams into his jaw, his entire demeanor changes.

He glares straight into Nidoran even using Scary Face to intimidate her even more. Charmander looks on in shock as his usually silly teammate suddenly uses an extremely powerful slash attack straight at Nidoran, propelling her straight into a tree defeating her in a single attack, without even a need for the critical hit chance!

Charmander realizes he still has a long way to go, while me and Pikachu continue to casually eat our food. Many would underestimate Totodile for his silly demeanor but he is truly powerful. Being a High Tier Pokemon isn't just for show, he is only a step below Pokemon that could make it into the Elite Four's team.

The only reason he hasn't evolved yet is simply because he doesn't feel like it yet.

I grab some food from the pot and put it into the small bowl before placing it in front of Nidoran before saying,

"Hey, you are part of our team now, and that's just an example of how strong you can become! We are going to reach the summit and become legends! Would you like to join us and look down at all others of your species, forcing them to submit to you?"

Nidoran looks at me in shock but still acts reluctant.

"Just eat, for now, I wouldn't want you to go hungry."

I walk back over to camp and give Totodile a pat on the head,

"Good job buddy."

"Totototo!"

The next we packed all our things and proceed back through the forest towards Pewter City.

We keep walking through our path and soon arrive at a small hut.

We hear noises from within and a boy wearing.....samurai clothes walks out? He soon spots me and quickly addresses me, "Hey you! Are you from Pallet Town!?"

Woah! It's Samurai from the original series!

"Yeah I just started my journey!"

I remember Samurai was a pretty nice guy from the original series so I act nice towards him.

"Oh? You're the third person I've encountered from there!"

Third!? Wtf! Darius and Daisy got here first!?

"Haha, you trainers from Pallet are pretty skilled! I lost to both trainers, the boy arrived here first, he was very arrogant and barely was able to beat me with his Squirtle. The pretty girl was able to beat me pretty fast with her Bulbasaur! She was pretty skilled!"

"Haha, sorry about Darius, nobody likes that guy...."

"Hehe, I can see why."

"So, what are you doing staying in this cabin?"

"Oh, this old thing? I like to spend my time here looking to catch new Bug Pokemon! I want to be the greatest Bug Trainer to ever live!"

"Oh? You have to be pretty skilled as Bug Types aren't that strong and have lots of weaknesses, but can be very versatile in battle!"

"Haha, I agree! Lately I've been trying to catch a Scyther that is a rival to my Pinsir but it hasn't been going to well..."

"Hehe, maybe I'll go check it out later.."

"Go ahead and try, even if it was on my team, he simply wouldn't get along, it seems it wants to be the best bug type Pokemon and won't work well with others it's too prideful!"

"Then I definitely have to catch it! Only those that can be the best can join my team!"

"Oh? let's see how good they are then?"

"Haha, alright!"

We both are outside his cabin in a makeshift clearing ready to battle.

He quickly sends out his first Pokemon, "Go, Pinsir!"

I'm excited about this battle as it will definitely be a challenge!

'Observe!'

Wow! What a great catch!

"Samurai!"

"What?"

"You have a great Pinsir! It has amazing potential!"

"Hehe! I know right!"

"You don't understand...Let me teach you something that can help you with Pinsir after this battle!"

"Alright! Thanks!"
