Goodbye First Love

Lara and Claren goes back to entertaining guests after the initial surprise. But Lara knew from time to time, Claren's eyes would linger to that delicate figure.

Lara gathered a lot of information about the Crest Family the moment she learned that she would be engaged to Claren.

Although the Summers and Crests broke off their engagement after that tragedy, she knew it was not like how in the news that circulated.

The Crests was the one that requested to dissolve the engagement when Yue suffered from depression after the tragedy.

The Summers insisted that they would wait for Yue to be cured but the Crests already made up their mind to break ties to avoid dragging the Summers down with them in case their enemies decided to take advantage of the family's sudden lack of patriarch.

Despite the dissolution of the engagement, the two families continued to have a great relationship even if it doesn't seem to be in the surface.

Claren was also said to be adamant on going back to the Country when he learned about what happened but was forcefully kept away from the scene, until today, he hadn't even seen a single glimpse of Yue.

Lara was a calculative and cold hearted individual partly because she was involved in the flesh eating world of business but also because she doesn't like being on the losing side.

The union between her and Claren was a great move to pull her family up the ladder and she always thought that nothing could threaten this event, unfortunately, at the last moment, Yue Crest appeared.

If Yue had stayed timid and retarded, she wouldn't mind her existence around Claren, but her presence immediately threatened her position.

Young, beautiful, confident, and regal- even she who had been used to looking from the top can't help but feel inferior when she saw Yue.

Lara knew her inferiority was magnified because she actually fell in love with Claren. She can't bear to see him paying more attention to anyone than her.

Yue Crest was infatuated with Claren during their childhood, but no one knows how she felt today.

Lara wouldn't make any reckless move even if she's feeling pressured. She would try to observer first.

Yue already started to secretly observe Claren from afar.

Claren had a presence of his own, not as strong as Yyan's, but his is more like a gentle summer breeze. One would instantly feel comfortable around him but the truth is he treats people neither warm nor cold.

A person who's true face was hard to fathom but people just can't seem to offend since he's always smiling.

Yue's heart was chaotic, nervous and excited, but there's also extreme sadness since it knew would have no chance to be with Claren in this lifetime.

Yue can't control the pain that it immediately reflected in her eyes.

To avoid creating trouble, she immediately closed her eyes.

Yyan was very sensitive to Yue's inner turmoil.

He was already doubting his decision to bring her here.

He was distressed and about to take her away when he noticed the drastic change in her attitude. It was like the broken girl that hid in her cocoon suddenly broke free from her grief to become a new person.

Yyan sighed in relief. Ever since Yue woke up from that incident, she became a stronger individual, capable in overcoming any trial that comes her way.

Sometimes Yyan was thinking how he would feel if the time comes that his Yue wouldn't need him to protect her anymore.
