The Show Off

At the end, Yue changed into a more suitable gun under Keane's suggestion and the result was she finally managed to hit the bullseye.

"Yey yey, I finally got it!" Yue can't help but jump in happiness like a child.

Keane was at first surprise then laugh at the scene. This woman was truly carefree. Such a refreshing attitude.

"Thank you Keane" this time, Yue was truly sincere and smiled brilliantly.

Keane was blinded for the moment. He was always been concern with guiding Yue that it was only now that he noticed how beautiful she is. Even in the sea of all the beautiful women, her presence can be easily seen.

"I only offered a bit of guidance, it was your talent that brought you to this moment. But I hope that the time when you needed to use a gun will not come" Keane didn't let his amazement reflect on his face but instead give Yue a meaningful stare. He knew that Yue was not practicing only for fun.

A bit of killing intent can be felt each time she pull the trigger. Besides, no one among the people in this club is ordinary. Even if the royal family didn't permit killings, but it can't cover everything. Those with the underground dealings and such can still escape the law. And sometimes, the royal family deliberately turn a blind eye depending on its interest.

"I hope for that as well" but Yue knew that the possibility is nil for her.

"It's nice to meet Miss Yue. If the time comes we meet again, I hope we could treat each other as friends and conduct a competition. I'm sure by then you've probably mastered shooting well" Keane remembered that he still have an appointment prior to this. He can imagine that person fuming in anger already. But he knew that person can't really do anything to him so let him wait a bit more. It would be nice to see that person break down for once. Keane was delighted by such devilish thought.

"I'll look forward to that Mister Handsome" Yue said cheekily.

"Stop calling me that. Such a naughty lady" Keane said helplessly.

"But it's your name!" Yue replied slyly.

"Neon" Keane uttered.

"Hmm?" it's not because Yue didn't hear him but because she wasn't sure what he meant.

"My given name, it's Neon. You can call me that" Keane said his name as if it was unfamiliar to him. In fact, it has been so long since he was called by that name. He probably just wanted to relive some of his original self that's why he let her know his given name.

"Like the colorful glaring lights?" Yue tried to make light about it. She can feel a gloomy atmosphere building up around Keane.

"No way, my parents were not that tasteless" Keane winced when he heard Yue.

"Just kidding" Yue giggled seeing his reaction.

"If you can guess its meaning within a minute then I'll grant you a wish" Keane had a sudden idea. He wanted to know if she is really knowledgeable since she managed to give the meaning of his art name.

"You'll easily give me a wish like that, are you sure? " Yue squinted her eyes.

"I'm sure" Keane wouldn't back down.

"The meaning of neon" Yue seems to be contemplating.

"30 seconds left" Keane reminded Yue that her time is running out.

"It's firm and steady" Yue grinned. Neon knew he had been tricked.

"Ei, you knew" Keane sighed dramatically.

"Not really" Yue denied.

"But it doesn't seem like a wild guess" Keane knew based from how confident she answered.

"Nope, it was the voice search function of the phone" Yue had been honest about her source.

"Miss Yue is resourceful" Keane didn't say she cheated since it was not stipulated in his condition. But it was ingenious of her to use the search engine. When he usually do this kind of thing, people automatically give guesses based on the first thing they could think of.

"Just call me Yue. So, can I make a wish now?" Since Keane revealed his given name and was casual about it, Yue thought it was appropriate to do the same thing to show her good will.

"Sure, as long as it is within my means" Keane wouldn't even dare to renegade. He didn't think that Yue was someone who would take advantage of the situation.

"Don't worry, I won't make it hard for you. Just let me see you shoot" Yue recognized that Neon was highly skilled based on the way he instructed her, but she was curious how he really is at practical application.

"You mean like this" in a flash, Neon grabbed the gun and made several shots without even looking at the target.

"Show off" Yue rolled her eyes at that unexpected action.

Yue took the target paper and saw one hole on the middle ring. But there's no denying that all bullets passed through that one hole.

"A well deserved show off" Yue can't hide her admiration "But I didn't see clearly, care to show it the second time?" Yue wanted to to see such an awesome performance once more. She blatantly displayed her desire.

"Then Yue should watch carefully" with one hand, Neon pulled the trigger and fired smoothly.

Yue was staring at him observing his form and movements. He almost missed the shot. How can her stare be so unnerving. How can someone like him be flustered by such a thing. But all of those things just passed through his mind and didn't show in his actions.
