Winter Fashion Competition Part 1

With after all that happened, Yue found it tasteless and wanted to go home. If not for Lucy, she would have already walk away.

Neon on the other hand left after he handed the ointment.

Yue didn't bother about the man who harassed her. She knew someone would take care of him for her.

Then Yue noticed that Lucia had been in daze and seem to be stuck in the direction that Neon left.

Yue seem to found a clue, but she decided not to ask about it.

Having met the man twice, Yue had different impression.

Maybe she can have her brother look for Neon's details for precaution.

She didn't disclose to her brother about the incident before since she thought it was not such a big deal, but encountering the man the second time seems to be of fate.

She toured again the place with Lucia but didn't continue with the banquet. She excused herself and went home.

It was about noon, so she didn't expect to see Yyan back at home.

Since he wasn't able to go with her, she thought he might take some time with his business.

"You're early" Yyan was also surprised to see Yue back so early.

"Something happened and it took all my interest with the event" a small frown unconsciously appeared in her forehead.

"What happened?" Yyan didn't thought that something bad would happen to Yue in that small span of time.

Yue tried to make things sound simple but Yyan's face was still cast in gloom.

"It was my carelessness, then Neon came in time to knock the man down" Yue was grateful for Neon's good timing.

Yue accidentally blurted out Keanne's name then felt bad. But, she didn't think her brother would know about it.

Yyan had a bad premonition when he heard the name.

Among his acquaintances in the circle, he only knew one man who owned such name.

It was also a name that was not popular and is known by only a handful of people.

But from Yue's narration, it seemed that this is not the first time she met Neon. And if his hunch is correct… there's darkness foreboding in his inner being.

"When did you first met him?" Yyan wanted to confirm his guess.

Yue dropped her head.

At first she didn't think the matter would be significant, but by the tone of her brother's voice, she just suddenly felt guilty not telling him about her encounter with Neon.

"Remember the time you took me to learn how to shoot. When you left me, he saw me trying it out and helped me a bit" Yue generalized.

Yyan's conjecture is correct, but he didn't show in his face how turbulent his mind is at the moment. However, Yue can feel the temperature dropping around the room.

Surely it wasn't so bad to just meet Neon, why is her brother's reaction a bit exaggerated? Or could Neon happened to be her brother's enemy?

"If I'm not mistaken, the Neon you knew should be the fourth prince"

"Is it possible to own the same name?" although Yue said that, she's already convinced about Yyan's revelation. She was thinking that Neon had a prominent identity, it just didn't occur to her that he might be one of the current monarch's sons. But that would explain his strong momentum and aura that easily gain respect and awe.

"Can you tell me more of your encounter earlier" Yyan tried to set aside his personal thoughts about Yue and Neon and focused on the abnormality of Yue's incident earlier.

"Well, I bumped into the Rapport siblings. Do you think they have something to do with the appearance of the fourth prince?" Yue thought that there must be something going on since Yyan asked for more details and only thought of the relation.

"If this thought proves to be true, then the situation is more complicated that I thought. You don't have to worry about this things, but if you can, try to avoid the fourth prince" Yyan didn't like the man approaching Yue. The fourth prince is more dangerous than the crown prince. Even he, who has a cooperative relation with the man can't fathom how deep his mind is.

It was also not easy to get his interest, and for him to get in contact with Yue twice is truly baffling.

But if Yyan would think on a different perspective, he couldn't help but exude a dangerous aura.

Yue shuddered unconsciously.

The days had been progressing steadily and the final stage for the Winter Fashion Competition has arrived.

In order to promote the event, fashion authority from all over the world were invited.

Among the judges is Zilian.

Despite the declining talent, in his opinion, of the current fashion designers, he's still had some expectations since his interest was still caught by the designer from Country C.

Zilian also considered the new format proposed for this competition.

Previously, it was like during the Fashion Fest wherein readily finished designs are presented in the runway.

This time, the dress will be made on the spot and the models are randomly selected from the audience.

One would not necessarily get a natural hanger, so it would really test the actual skill of the designer, on how they can adapt and bring the utmost aesthetic sense despite the diverse models.

The competition will take about a whole day and is divided into three sections.

First section is design drafting, of which, the foundation of the designer will be tested. But the score for this section is only 20%. Although it is important to draft the design, but they have considered that some of the individuals, despite having poor drawing skill, can craft a great dress, or had better practical skill.

Just like how a student can be good at school but not necessarily in real life. It is better to be able to apply the theory than have it stay in your head and paper. It can only take you within the limits of imagination.

Second section is dress making, 30%. If one plans to get to the top of the fashion world, it's also important that the designer are hands on with their work.

Assistants are not allowed to this point.

This part will also evaluate the quality of the dress one can produce at a short period of time.

Lastly, would be the presentation part, 50%.

This will prove to be challenging as the models are not professionals.

It could be that the audience assigned to the competitor is naturally shy, that would reduce the striking point of the dress.

So at this moment, the true brilliance of the designer will shine through.

Whoever can bring about the confidence of an individual would be the true winner of this competition.

Judges will give a score from 1 to 10 for each section and the weighted average would be computed.

Yue arrived at the venue of the competition and was ushered to the waiting room.

She thought she was early but was greeted by almost all the competitors.

Yue caught their attention when she entered.

The originally lively room got a bit awkward with her presence.

She smiled politely then chose a good corner to pass time.

Eversince she entered Alcane, she barely mixed in with the resident designers.

Since their studio was isolated and there has been some conflict in the earlier days, it didn't really create an ideal environment for some friendly get together.

Yue also prefer it that way, so she can move freely.

Unfortunately, she wasn't bound to get some peace today.
