Impending Return

Yue changed her clothes and joined her brother in the living room.

The man was holding his phone, giving instructions to his subordinates.

Apparently, upon arriving to the province, they already executed the plan to control the base of North Wolf.

If nothing unexpected happens, they would be able to finish everything within the day.

When Yyan finished the call, he saw Yue browsing her phone.

"Don't want to rest first?' Yyan is full of concern.

"There's something that I needed to talk about" Yue shook her head. She can't rest if things are not discussed.

"The pendant" Yyan guessed.

"Uhn, take a look at it" Yue handed over the relic to Yyan.

Yyan was in fact was not so surprised because of his dream.

"When we're about to go back to the hotel, we were blocked and had to take a detour. During that time, we encountered a strange fog and I was brought back into the past. In there I witnessed the fall of the Salhuran Empire. When I woke up, I found the whole pendant in my hand" Yue gave a rough account on what happened to them.

"This experience managed to confirm our thoughts regarding the function of the pendant. It has the ability to fuse two entities into one. But I believe that it only works for twins who shares the same genetic make-up and spirit" Yue looked at Yyan expectedly.

"The two of you are originally twins" Yyan confirmed her conjecture.

Yue already expected it. the first time she dreamed of Yue, she already knew that they are connected at some point.

Then Yue remembered her sister's last statement that was cut off, somehow, she can now fill the blank. Realizing this, she can't help but blush.

Seeing her red face, Yyan thought Yue was angry at him for keeping the information from her.

"I apologize for not letting you know of this thing earlier. Along with my investigation of your incident, I have discovered some conspiracies behind it. I planned on holding it off until I made sure to be clear of all dangers associated with it. I know you deserve to know this but I have been selfish about it", Yyan's first instinct is to pacify Yue. He readily explained his action.

Yue knew her brother clearly misunderstood her reaction but she didn't plan on clarifying her embarrassment.

"I know my brother is just thinking of my best interest. I'm not angry about it, don't worry" Yue can only hide through her words.

"Since were already at this subject, your grandfather was already informed of this incident. If you would like to go back to your family, we can immediately settle this matter"

"I-what does brother think of this?"

Yyan has his own considerations, but he has already been selfish once, he can't deny her this decision now. "Only you can decide for this. What would you like to do?"

Seeing Yue thinking, Yyan didn't urge her.

"The reason why I came to my sister's body is because someone tried to take my life first. Knowing that my existence will hinder their plans, they decided to eliminate me in every possible way they can. Last time I had an exchange with my body, Ashaina tried to take my life once again"

"They will not stop until I'm dead, so, I can only go back to protect myself from them" besides this, staying with Yyan now is deemed inappropriate since even her sister's identity proved to be mismatched.

"Alright, then I will set up a meeting between you and your grandfather"

"Thank you, brother, for taking care of me"

"That's how the message goes" Old Zeke informed the Old Master of the message sent by Yyan as soon as they returned to the Capital.

"Those imbeciles! I didn't expect that they will reach their hands that deep. To think that the Royal Family had a hand in this, but I should've expected this. If not for them, this information would be easily available considering our network" the Old Master can only sigh at the chaos created by these people.

"When are we going to receive the young lady?" this to make sure they can prepare things satisfactorily by the time of welcoming.

"As soon as possible. Let those people panic. Of course, what matters is I can now be with my granddaughter. No, no, tell that brat to send back my granddaughter today!" the eccentricity of the old man is acting, but who can blame. He had been looking forward for this day.

Old Zeke immediately sent a message to the Yyan but he was declined.

"That brat!, Hmp, you ask my granddaughter. As long as she said yes, let's see if that brat can do anything about it" the Old Master thought so, given how much the brat cares for his granddaughter, he will not let her be aggrieved.

"The Old Master is wise" Old Zeke smiled and did his task. He talked to the young lady for a bit and handed the phone to the Old Master.

"Grandfather" Yue spilled the words smoothly, but in fact she was a bit nervous.

"My good granddaughter, this old man is waiting for you to come home" the Old Master tried to sound as a kind elder.

"Just wait a little bit grandfather, I will just fix some things on my side and the earliest that I can join you is probably next week" Yue responded, relaxing when she identified the tone of the Old Master.

"No need to hurry that much. But if it's not much trouble, will you join grandpa for a tea this afternoon?" the Old Master still can't wait and ask for a small meeting.

"Of course, grandfather" there are certain things that are better discussed in person.

"Alright then, grandpa will be waiting" the Old Master was grinning widely, totally forgot to urge Yue to move back to the house immediately.

"Old Zeke, my granddaughter will be visiting later. You take my Jade Canister and prepare a good tea for the two of us to enjoy"

"As the Master wish" Old Zeke was surprised that the Old Master was willing to share his prized tea collection with the Young Lady. The first one is the zither, now, the tea. It can be seen the importance of the young lady in the heart of the Old Master. Totally can't offend. He had to carefully instruct the servants of the house in order for them to keep their lives intact.

Back on the Crest Residence, after hanging up the phone.

"I thought you would like to return as soon as possible" Yyan expected Yue to give in to the Old Master's request. The first revelation on her identity already caused things to be different between the two of them. Had he not fell ill back then, their relationship would have been more alienated. Now that her physical identity is not holding her back from separating herself from him, he would not be surprised if she just pack-up and leave.

"How could it be. I can't just turn around and leave my brother without much ceremony" since Yue had been aware at some extent that there's something wrong between the two of them, she had been keeping a clear line. However, that doesn't mean that she would just leave her brother. The situation is a bit complicated, but she will take matters as they come. For now, the proper way is to set the situation straight, but before that, she might as well allow a few more days in the company of her brother.

"But you're still leaving me" Yyan whispered. But he forgot that Yue can hear more than ordinary people.

"Brother" Yue was helpless about this.

"Alright, I was just kidding. Don't forget that this is still your home. Regardless of anything else, you will always be a member of my household, my family" Yyan hid several layers of secret in that statement.
