Another Mystery

The road covered in endless snow hid the tracks Yue left when she went down the cliffs.

The cliffs had some kind of barrier that didn't change its weather so she didn't expect that a lightly heavy snow fall had happened during the time she was working on her dress. Now, in addition to the heavy body and stiff limbs, she had to endure an additional degree of trouble of being lost.

As time passed by, Yue can't stop her shivering. Her limbs are beginning to lose sensation and her sight is becoming blurry.

Suddenly, the ground she stepped on suddenly crumbled.

With no time to even scream, Yue fell into a deep pit.

"We have yet to receive the signal from the Young Miss. Organize into four groups and start combing the area where the last signal was detected. Make sure to find the Young Miss within half an hour!"

Before Yue headed for the cliffs, she made some arrangement with her bodyguards. She was to send signal on fixed times to ensure them her safety. Once they failed to receive the signal, the guards are to assume that something bad has happened and should immediately come to her rescue.

Such arrangement didn't sound exaggerated to the guards, in fact, if they can tail their Young Miss 24/7 to prevent any incident they would do so.

The Head of Security looked at the rough terrain of the mountain and the weather that's becoming worse by the minute. He just hopes that the situation of their Young Miss is not so bad. He can still remember the last time their Young Master had gone on a rampage. They cannot afford to have the same situation twice.

The guards swept through the mountain trying to follow the tracking signal, but they suffered with finding the right pathway and had to make some detours.

On the other hand, Yue, who fell, luckily was cushioned with thick snow that fell together with her.

She was lying flat on her back, and she can barely move.

However, her strong will to survive unchained the energy trapped in her fats for her to use while crawling away, finding a more comfortable space.

In fact, the pit she fell in happen to be an underground cave and the air is a lot warmer than outside.

Yue had to bite the inside flesh of her cheeks so she won't lose consciousness. No matter what happens, she needed to survive this ordeal.

Yue remembered to send signal to the guards, unfortunately, the tracker was crushed under the fall.

She can only adjust to the situation.

Right now, she seemed to fall in a cave.

Several pathways were presented in front of her.

But Yue didn't intend to wander about. Although, it's tempting to explore the cave, but one can never know the dangers that lies inside. A wild animal can be sleeping or a horde of vampire bats might attack her, worse, if she found herself in a den of snake. Just imagining their smooth scaly skin crawling about makes all her hair stand.

Since the temperature inside the cave is pretty warm, she decided to camp directly from the whole she fell in so it would be easier for the guards or someone to find her.

Yue searched for her things and find something to start a fire.

Hopefully, they'll be able to find her before nightfall. Anyway, it's still pretty early when she set off. There should be a few more hours before lunch. Her chances of being rescued is still high.

Once the cave was lighted up, Yue can't help but noticed several symbols that was carved in its stone walls.

It doesn't seem like it was done by ancient people though.

Curious, she tried to trace the carvings. Somehow, she feels like she can understand what it meant despite not knowing to how to read it.

Suddenly, the texts began dancing around her fingers.

At first, she thought it was just a sensation, but later on she noticed the texts are starting to form on her hands, like a tattoo, going up her arms.

How many times had she fell in a fantasy-like situation? This thing is nothing new to her.

Instead of fear, she fell into a trance.

Several scenes flashed through her mind but it's too fast for her to make sense.

The rush of information induced her head to in great pain.

A glass shattering scream resounded through the mountains.

Several people were alerted by the sound and immediately headed to the source.

Kei gritted his teeth as he stared to the white expanse.

Although he has a general direction but looking for two things made him a bit frustrated.

He could just alert the organizer regarding Yue's incident but that means he won't be able to move freely so he took on the full responsibility for the search.

He can't believe that lazy lady stubbornly climbed the mountain.

He still remembered asking her out several times to wander around Country F but she would always say that she was lazy to do so. She would almost always come to class in time or just within the grace period because she finds it hard to leave the bed. And she would always exploit his biological makeup to lend her a helping hand in carrying her materials.

But just for this competition she woke up earlier more than anyone else and walked for hours in full gear.

She really squeezed out her passion for this one. He just sincerely hopes she's doing okay.

But as he thought on these things, he heard a heart-rending scream.

That's when Kei first felt an extreme fear.
