Lu Qingyun and the Devil Goddess were now displaying a defensive posture with their saintly divine swords.

At any moment now, they would be starting their fight.

The Devil Goddess frowned, "Weird, you're the one that has requested for us to end the war through a fight of honor. So why don't you make your first move yet?"

Lu Qingyun sighed softly, "You're my master. As your personal disciple, how can I attack my master first?"

The Devil Goddess hummed, "We're now on opposing side now. There is no master-disciple relationship between us now."

Lu Qingyun smiled weakly, "Then why don't you make the first move instead?"

The Devil Goddess chuckled, "I won't fall into your trick and attack you first. I prefer to guard my position here."

Lu Qingyun frowned lightly, "When did the Great Heroine Fan Yuqing becomes such a coward?"

"Well, I'm the Devil Goddess now. You are the Great Hero Lu now and your renown is now overtaking me."

Lu Qingyun said bitterly, "I have never dreamed of this day when I will be fighting against my master….fighting against the maiden of my heart…and fighting the Devil Goddess at the same time."

The Devil Goddess replied, "You must have regretted having me as your master."

Lu Qingyun nodded, "Yes, I really regretted having you as my master. You have never taught me a single skill."

"At least you have picked up some of my alchemy skills on the sly. In fact, you owed it to me that you are able to concoct two sixth rank divine pills." The Devil Goddess retorted.

Lu Qingyun returned a weak smile, "Are you sure that you are the one that have taught me my alchemy skills? Do you really think that your alchemy skills are really that good? Let me tell you a secret. I was the one that had helped you to complete your Triple Divine Essence Pill and your Seven Hearts Hollow Pill that day. You don't even know about it."

The Devil Goddess chuckled, "Stop being so thick skin and claim credit for something that you did not do."

"I knew that you had added the starforge substances into the two profound pills." Lu Qingyun said slowly.

The Devil Goddess gasped, "You know?"

"And I've removed the starforge substances from it before helping you to complete the two profound pills. You were sleeping at that time and did not notice that I was around."

"I also know that you have been trying to dose me with the starforge substances all this while and I was pretending that I did not know." Lu Qingyun added quietly.

He inhaled softly before he added, "However there is something that I want to give you before we start our duel."

All of a sudden he had tossed a box to the Devil Goddess who had caught it.

"What is it? A breakup parting gift?" The Devil Goddess curiously opened it and was gasping. It was a sixth rank divine pill.

"This is the Life-Giver Profound Pill that I had concocted. Although you have never taught me any skills but you are still my master. Therefore I am giving this sixth rank divine pill to you." He paused to add quietly. "It may be useful to you when you are attempting your future ascension to the Immortal Realm in the future."

The Devil Goddess hummed coldly as she tossed the box down the cliff into the bottomless desolate mists below. "Show off. If I want a sixth rank divine pill, I can always find one myself."

Lu Qingyun gasped as his eyes rolled with shock. "You…actually threw this sixth rank divine pill away?! Do you know that this is the only miracle pill of its kind that can even…revive the dead?"

The Devil Goddess gasped softly as she rolled her eyes to the bottomless desolate mists. "Erm, why don't you say so earlier?"

Lu Qingyun muttered with shock, "It is impossible for me to concoct another. I have used up all the celestial herbs that I had found within the ancient celestial ruin. Some of the spiritual herbs are so rare that I don't think it even exist in the Celestial Realm at all."

Then he said bitterly, "How can you just throw it away just like this."

Fan Yuqing was feeling very bad now as she rolled her eyes, "How do I know that this is actually such a valuable divine pill? Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Lu Qingyun replied almost incoherently, "This is a sixth rank divine pill. How can you not know it is such a valuable divine pill? Saintess Feng Minyue is right. You are indeed such a wasteful person."

Fan Yuqing frowned, "Don't give me your lectures. Even if it is ten sixth divine pills that are from you, I will never take it. This is called pride. I'm the Devil Goddess. I take whatever I please and throw whatever I dislike and that includes you."

Lu Qingyun hummed coldly, "So I am now being discarded by you?"

"That's right!" Fan Yuqing chuckled softly. "You are useless to me now."

"You seem to take such a great pride on that." Fan Yuqing hummed coldly. "How do you hope to defeat me?"

Lu Qingyun laughed bitterly, "I can always beat you anytime."

"Beat me up?" Fan Yuqing hummed coldly, "Fat hope!"

Lu Qingyun asked, "Then why don't you try me now?"

Fan Yuqing chuckled softly, "Then why don't you attack me first?"

"No, you first." Lu Qingyun insisted.

"Coward!"

"So what if I am a coward? I'm sure the Devil Goddess isn't a coward right? So why don't you come over here then."

"Although I am not a coward but someone here is supposed to be the Great Hero Lu. Why don't you make your heroic move at me first? Or are you a cowardly turtle that only hide in your shell?"

Lu Qingyun frowned lightly, "Are you here to rebuke me or to fight me?"

Fan Yuqing chuckled, "The ancients say, attack the heart is the best strategy rather than confronting the enemy headlong. So are you angry now? But what can you do to me then?"

Lu Qingyun hummed coldly, "I won't fall into your tricks. You can say whatever you want."

Instead they could only see the Devil Goddess and Alliance Leader Lu displaying their stances and then they seemed to be arguing.

After that they saw Lu Qingyun had thrown a box at the Devil Goddess but the box seemed to have enraged the Devil Goddess and it got tossed into the bottomless desolate mists below.

Xuan Danfeng was secretly whispering to Feng Minyue, "It seems that they are having a lovers' quarrel?"

Feng Minyue frowned lightly, "Don't ask me. I don't have that type of experiences."

Ye Jing whispered, "This is so boring. Why don't they start fighting yet?"

Yue Lingxi looked at Xuan Danfeng curiously, "Lovers' quarrel? What is that?"
