Chapter 2 Masochistic ”Cultivation” technique!?

Vlad is excited after discovering that he can "cultivate"... Well not exactly but close enough.

As it seems that it's as if he suddenly came to a sudden realization, Vlad's turned wide as he hurried to draw an alchemic pentagram on the floor before placing a piece of cole in the middle, Vlad then places both around the alchemic circle.

Seconds later the alchemy circle glowed and the piece cole deformed and coalesced. Vlad's heartbeat sped up as he's extremely excited about the result.

A few moments later the circle stops glowing as and what remains in the of the circle is a diamond.

Vlad picks up the diamond and examines it

'neatly cut at the perfect ratio and angle, the clarity it near perfect... It's a success!' Vlad celebrated his success as this proves that all the occult stuff is still useful in this world.

Vlad kinda felt stupid for forgetting all about it, he has been enjoying the life of a prince for far too long and he has forgotten that despite not having their ching chong cultivation nonsense, he has his own power!

A little side note though is that Vlad also found that the effects of the are more potent than his previous life.

Saying that the "cultivation" path he has chosen revolves around the holy book... Thinking about it made Vlad depressed.

Christianity is a masochistic religion... One would need to face great hardships in order to progress.

Take Joan of Arc of example, despite being a woman she had taken to the sword somehow set in motion of a chain of events the lead to a war that lasts for more than a hundred years with a French victory, not mention all the hardships she has suffered through the war, she is also betrayed and eventually burned at the stake as a witch. Then and only then did she became a Saint.

Or how about Jesus of Nazareth? The critical figure in Christianity, he got tortured, humiliated, betrayed and crucified before he attained godhood.

According to his occult research, the good book is not all nonsense (just part of it is) barried

The Kabbalah's tree of life tells the long arduous journey of a mortal's reaching Godhood.

The road is long me it is filled with hardships and suffering beyond what a mortal could ever handle. Perhaps it's due to this that if a mortal were to persevere through the trials then and only then is he worthy to begin his journey to Godhood.

Vlad's face visibly darkens as he clearly knows what it entails as in order to gain strength one must be willing to go through extreme hardships, and the best way to do that is by following the "good" holy book (Bible)

Naturally, he can't say anything about his newfound abilities as it's written in the Bible "when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." "the meek shall inherit the earth" so he has to keep it a secret... Well, it's that he can't show it to them but he just can't brag about it, which is pretty much the same thing! Like you have a cool power and yet you can't brag about it.

Not to mention in order to gain the strength he must be bullied, oppressed and humiliated.

It sounds like a crappy "cultivation" technique and it is, but this world has a much higher energy concentration so it isn't as hard as it is as on earth.

Saying that being kick out of the Feng manor isn't as bad as people might think as the only good thing that came with it is his FREEDOM.

Previously he was pretty much confined to the inner courtyard as it was too dangerous for a 5-year-old to be wandering around. Now they pretty don't care what happens to him.

Grumble Grumble

As he was thinking about that Vlad's stomach grumbled, looking around the shed is pretty much empty. Fortunately, he has alchemy and can transmute gemstones to that.

Naturally, Vlad began finding random stuff laying around and began transmuting a wide variety of gemstones.

'hmm... Let's see if I seem correctly ruby is....' Vlad then recalls what how rubies are formed and what they're made off.

Rubies are made from the mineral corundum or aluminum oxide. When rubies are treated to extreme heat and pressure, they are formed under the earth's surface. Corundum is made of densely packed oxygen and aluminum atoms.

Typically, this results in a colorless substance. However, when some of the aluminum atoms are replaced by other minerals or substances, the stone can take on other colors. This is how the ruby is formed and gets it's deep red hue. Specifically the presence of chromium creates the deep red color. Rare orange and pink shades of ruby are created by the presence of chromium and ferric iron. If 1% of the aluminum atoms are replaced by chromium atoms, the ruby forms a deep red color.

So the key point is finding aluminium, fortunately Aluminium oxide can be found in Feldspar are a group of rock-forming tectosilicate minerals that make up about 41% of the Earth's continental crust by weight.

Not sure about this world but if this world is even remotely similar to earth that chances are that the percentage isn't too far off.

So he began gathering a wide variety of rock and began transmuting, he eventually found aluminum and he so produced gems such as Rubies and Sapphire.

With all that done Vlad has more then enough to trade for food, naturally doesn't plan to speed it all on food as using a diamond for a lunch is simply ridiculous.

What he plans to do is to buy one of those inter-spatial storage rings.

Saying that while Vlad can come and go as he pleases, but he still should probably disguise himself when going out.

Whit his blonde hair and deep blue eyes he would stick out like a sore thumb. The Feng manor would naturally hear that he has been going around and buying stuff with gemstones and without doubt these scumbags would try to confiscate all his gems and would even make up some false charges to oppress him further.

So Vlad ponders on a bit before deciding to dye his hair black and making a pair of contact lenses to hide his blue eyes.

Hair color is pretty simple to change as it's simply a matter of changing the amount of melanin in the hair. A simple transmutation did the trick.

As for the contact lenses they're a bit more tricky and Vlad eventually transmutted a suitable pair to wear that changes his eyes to the color black.

Saying that the real hard part is putting the contact lens on, it's like your eyes want to blink but you can't blink and your eyes needs to be aligned, so you need to stare at your finger slowly getting closer and closer all without blinking and looking away.

Anyway after a bit of struggle he eventually puts on the contact lenses and heads out of the shed.
