Chapter 6.) 200 Player Battle Royale Part 1.

So quick note, I had to change the book title obviously but let me know if you like it.

Also I have a big perfectionists problem so it's taking longer to release a single chapter.

"Everyone switch to party chat in the menu." Koeda ordered

The newly formed team rushed out the house awaiting their first battle.

Yuri, the tank, was walking straight down the street nonchalantly. He had complete faith in the people of his team that he barely knew.

The rest of his team followed behind him stealthily, Inorin and Yūki running threw bushes, and Koeda jumping from tree to tree.

"Two enemies on your 9 o'clock Yuri." Inorin tells Yuri telepathically.

Yuri stops moving and quickly changes directions to face the enemies.

At that very moment, Koeda vanished into the trees.

The two enemies, one wearing a bright yellow hooded trench coat and the other with a mix of black and navy blue from head to toe, noticed Yuri and immediately unsheathed their weapons for battle.

The yellow one had a traditional French rapier, while the other had dual gauntlets.

Signifying that it was two Slayer classes with different sub-classes.

"Two close range fighters!? They have to have at least one more teammate hiding somewhere. Hey, umm… Inorin stay on your toes." Yūki reinforced

"Yeah yeah I got it." Inorin replied blowing off her precautions.

'But I wonder, if I steal that gauntlet boxer's abilities? Would I instinctively learn better hand-to-hand combat?' Inorin contemplated to himself

The two enemies started charging at Yuri.

"Let's get him!" They said

Yuri with his axe in hand, got in his fighting stance, and Inorin took his bow off his back.

"A slow Berserker vs. two Slayers! We're going to kill him easily." The Gauntlet Slayer stated

That was true, Yuri was at a big disadvantage,he was slow compared to the Slayers but he wasn't the slightest bit worried.

The rapier Slayer did a lounge attack at Yuri, Yuri didn't move knowing that the rapier was too flimsy to actually do damage head on. He knew that it was simply a decoy to throw him off for another attack.

Even after not falling for the trap the Gauntlet Slayer still believed he could get a good hit in.

He jumped at Yuri from behind his teammate attempting to do a right hand Superman punch.

Yuri dodged it not knowing the true intention of it was trickery. But Inorin saw threw it and fired an arrow at the rapier carriers forearm to stop him mid swing.

Once Inorin revealed his location with the arrow, the third teammate that was lurking in the shadows finally popped out.

*Triple Blow* The now known Battle Mage released a light style attack towards Inorin.

*Blue Aura* Yuki, still concealing her location, activated a skill to shield Inorin from the other mage's attack.

Inorin, not facing the enemy mage felt the aura absorb the attack for him. He turned around while the third strike came towards him.

*Duplicate* Inorin used to steal the mage's abilities.

'You have acquired a new skill; Light Style: Triple Blow'

"Ah so it's called Triple Blow." Inorin said feeling intrigued.

"Enhance"

'You have acquired a new skill; Shadow Style: Finishing Blow'

The 3-hit Light Style magic attack then unlocked a 6-hit Shadow Style spell.

"Thanks for the save, I can take him out if you want." Inorin requested

"It's fine, he only used a starter skill so he can't be too strong, I'll handle him." Yuki replied

*Quintuple Blow* Yuki used the level 3 version of the other mage's spell.

"I won't go down that easy!" The enemy mage shouted

*Combat Teleport* He used

The mage vanished from in a tree and reappeared on the ground in 3/2 of a second

"I won't let you off with only one spell.

*Dimension Slicer* Yuki had finally used an ability specific to her sub-class.

A space blade flew towards the mage vanishing before it hit him.

"Weak! Looks like that attack wasn't even strong enough to get close to me." Said the mage

Yuki turned around and continued watching Yuri fight, while Inorin still had his eyes trained on the Battle Mage.

"Slow but deadly" Yuki whispered

The space blade reappeared behind the mage severing his body in half from the waist. His lower body was sucked into the space vacuum.

"Woah, that really is deadly, I'll take it." Inorin stated

*Duplicate*

'You have acquired a new skill.'

"What do you mean you'll take it?" Yuki questioned

"Oh nothing really, I was saying I was ok with you taking care of that guy like that." Inorin lied

"Hey it says Asarath has been killed. Do you think it was this guy's squad mates?" The Gauntlet Slayer asked while swinging at Yuri

"Probably, we'd better finish this guy before they ambushed us." The rapier holder replied

*Ahem* "Too late boys!" Inorin butted in

"Let's test this one…"

"Shadow Style: Finishing Blow" Inorin said, activating a spell.

6 dark magic strikes flew towards the two enemies, the rapier wielder was taken out by the third strike due to him already being low HP.

The other one of the other hand, managed to dodge the first 4 strikes and only got hit by the last 2. But they didn't do enough damage to kill him off.

Seeing this, the final hidden enemy revealed his location in hopes of saving his teammate.

He sprinted to his friend while he was on the ground.

Koeda who had disappeared from the scene, declared that it was now her turn to go on the offensive.

*Vanishing Step* Koeda appeared in front of the running enemy. She stepped to the side and stuck out one foot, tripping him.

Then she pulled out a random sleeve knife and stabbed him in the neck, ending his life.

The only person left was the now half dead Slayer that was now on his feet. But Yuri was slowly approaching him to put him out of his misery.

"What's your name kid?" Yuri asked

Breathing hard the Slayer said…

"Misery"

"Well Misery it's ironic but it's time to put you out of your misery. You can always try the exams again." Yuri playfully said

"Hey Yuri!" Inorin yelled

"Huh, what is it?" Yuri asked

"Let mii fight him in regular hand-to hand combat, I'll still let you get the finishing blow of course." He requested

'What? I thought he was a Mage not a Slayer, how can he also be a close-range fighter.' Yūki questioned feeling deeply anguished

"Hmm… sure why not." Yuri accepted

Inorin walked out of the trees and onto the open street where they were standing.

"Alright you ready? Let's begin."

*154 players remain*
