Ch 4 MTV Cribs

EDITED

Hele showed up a few minutes after Murciél called him. He pulled up in a black Tesla SUV and opened the back door so Murciél could slide into the back with Sara. "She's perfect..." Hele muttered in awe of Sara's beauty. "Sí, por supuesto (yes, of course). She was made for us" he replied as he buckled her in then himself.

"I've already called for a cleanup crew" Hele informed Murciél just as said crew showed up. They handled the bodies, evidence and the vehicle left by Diak's goons while Hele drove back to Murciél's penthouse. Throughout the years the brothers made sure to always have positions of massive power that allowed them the funds and connections needed to do whatever they needed or wanted, while still maintaining a level of anonymity. They didn't run just one company, but they ran a company that owned other companies. This made sure they had their hands in all the cookie jars, so to speak, and could help one another as needed.

The drive was smooth and quiet and they slid into the private parking garage for the building safely. Murciél owned the upscale apartment building but the entire top floor penthouse was his alone and had its own private elevator. Hele helped Murciél get Sara out the back and they took the private elevator to the top floor. When they got into the penthouse Hele called down to the security desk and informed them that they had a very important guest and only the brothers could come up unless authorized and to beef up the buildings protections for the time being.

Meanwhile Murciél put Sarah to sleep in the guest room and let her sleep naturally. "I don't want to wake her. She looks so peaceful and she's been through a lot." Murciél said. Hele nodded in agreement. "My concern is how did she end up running from Diak's men?" Murciél asked aloud absentmindedly. "Perhaps she can fill us in when she wakes, but not before. " Hele replied.

"The others are on their way but Mahō won't be here till Tuesday and the others won't be here 'till tomorrow night." Murciél informed his brother. Hele nodded again and threw himself on the couch with a sigh. "I'll sleep out here in case she tries to slip out" Hele informed Murciél who nodded in agreement. "Thank you brother" he replied and left to clean up seeing as how he didn't require sleep even though he technically could.

Sara woke with a start, her memories flooding back and her heart racing at mach speed. She shook her head and thought to herself 'panicking will get me nowhere. Sweet black baby Jesus, I run from one kidnapper right into another.' She sat up slowly and realized she wasn't dizzy or disoriented like before 'Okay they didn't drug me...' she was concerned as to how he put her to sleep but she needed to worry about that later once she was free and safe. Her main issue was that she already felt safe where she was but that, in it if itself, worried her. The man from earlier killed to protect her, she assumed, then he died and came back and killed again. 'Right vampire, he was already dead...er undead' she shook the thought from her mind and tried to refocus.

What concerned Sara more was how safe she felt. The bed was firm but not solid as a rock, just right. The sheets were satin and soft, the comforter welcoming and plush. A night light had been left on in the bathroom so she was able to make her way to the bedroom door easily and listened for a moment not bothering to take in the rest of the bedroom. "Sounds clear" she whispered to herself and opened the door. Based on the light coming through the floor to ceiling windows in her room the sun hadn't risen yet but she wasn't going to wait around for it to. Assuming it was late when she escaped round one, the sun would give her light soon but she needed the cover of night to slip out as best she could.

Slipping out of the room she realized she was in a penthouse, like the ones she saw on MTV. Total bachelor pad but it was well decorated and put together. The halls were a soft grey color to the black carpet that linned the floors. The room she came out of was at the end of the hall and she had to pass a bathroom and what she guessed was another bedroom to get to the main area.

Thanks to the carpet Sara tiptoed without a sound, or so she thought, and made it past the room to round the corner to a massive open concept space. She tiptoed down the steps to the first floor and took in her surroundings to find her best way out. Her jaw fell for a bit as she took in the art on the wall and spacious area.

There were a few walls of floor to ceiling windows that were covered by automated shudders she guessed. In front of her, farthest from the steps, was a large family room with an electric fireplace and seating for 8. The large chandelier didn't give off to much light as she realized it must have been dimmed, better for her. What she didn't notice was the grown man sleeping on the long couch facing away from her.

Everything was in grayscale or whites and blacks, which normally would have felt tight, but the room was so massive it didn't matter. The modern couches and sofas and a fireplace were cremes and silvers to offset all the black. To the right was the dinning area. It had a large circular, black wooden table fit for a large party and had a rotating surface in the middle so everyone had easy and equal access to the food. The chairs were plush, cushioned and had an ornate design in the wood making sure they didn't need seat covers.

To the left was a large open space kitchen. The kitchen countertops had the same marble style that was in front of the fireplace and the Kitchen had a dark title to match. There was an island that ran the full length of the kitchen and had a six burner gas stove top in the middle, with plenty of countertop space on either side. On the right wall itself was more countertop space with a sink in the middle. There was a dual door fridge/freezer combo on the right of the sink and to the left was a wall-in oven. The cabinets were dark grey with silver handles that perfectly offset the black marble tops.

Shaking her head she realized she spent too much time admiring the space and went to slip past the kitchen and dining room only to find very familiar and cool arms wrap around her waist effectively stopping her. "¿Que pasó mi amor (what happened my love) , where are you off to so soon?" Murciél yawned " and this early," he added.

"Please sir I don't want any trouble just let me go" Sara begged trying not to cry. Hele was up as soon as she left the room but finally got up to see her. Sara looked at Hele with fear and defeat like she was done for and her sadness hurt Hele somewhere in his heart. "My queen" he started as he walked over to her "you must understand, we would never hurt you, only protect and cherish you as it should be" he added, taking her hands in his "you are safe now. We promise" he finished and kissed her forehead. She felt the same tingles from when Murciél touched her but this new guy was warmer than Murciél or any human would be.

For whatever reason his words calmed her down enough so she stopped fighting but all the fear, anguish and anger she experienced over the last 24 hours had finally hit her like a mack truck with a full load and she ugly cried as they both held her. "We will find whoever hurt you and make them pay mi reina, te juro! (Swear to God/I promise)" Murciél said kissing the back of her head and supporting her. Her sadness and tears tore at them on a primal level, they managed to move her to the couch so she was sitting on both their laps. She cried into Murciél's chest and clung to Hele's shirt with her free hand. Hele rubbed circles on her back to help soothe her.

Eventually she stopped crying enough and they led her over to the island in the kitchen to sit on a stool. "What do you want to eat? You name it, it's yours. If I don't have or can't make it, I'll get it for you?" Murciél asked, wanting to comfort her. Both he and Hele were internally roaring with anger and rage at the people who hurt their mate but right now their primary concern was taking care of Sara. Hele sat next to her to provide constant warmth and safety while Murciél wet a rag with cool water for her puffy eyes. "Thanks" she muttered like a little kid with a pout and put the cold compress over her eyes leaning on Hele for support.

She shrugged her shoulders and wiped the last of her tears away before replying. "I no know, I not hungy" she said in a small childlike voice looking at him lazily. She felt tired all over again but not quite sleepy. The cry took a lot out of her and she just didn't understand why crazy shit kept happening to her. "I understand but you need to eat. I'm sure it's been a few hours since you last meal and you've been through a lot." Murciél retorted.

'So are we going to ignore that?' Hele asked Murciél through the mind link. 'Well no but we just met. Clearly she feels the mate bond and trusts us enough to transition but we should wait to approach the subject' Murciél replied. 'I agree but I just wanted to make sure you noticed it too' Hele said with a soft smile and Murciél looked at him with an 'of course I noticed' face.

He was right even though she didn't want him to be. She sighed and thought for a moment "Um...pancakes with eggs n' bacon would be amazeballs right now, with milk too...pweaze?" She meant it to be a statement but wasn't sure if she was asking for too much. "I for one second that baby girl" Hele agreed and kissed her forehead. He let Sara slip from his grasp to help Murciél cook and Sara put the compress over the sink edge since it was warm now and sat back down.
