The Days When I’m With You

As soon as I saw the notification, saying:

I snatched my phone off the table and unlocked the screen. I didn't think twice before opening the message. Unbeknownst to myself, my lips had unknowingly curved up.

I threw my phone to the couch, hard. I felt annoyed all of a sudden. I snorted derisively before turning my head away. As soon as I did, only then I realized, I was still with a guest.

Chun Yi was currently staring at me in shock and her chopstick had stopped mid-air. She seemed to be taken aback by my sudden outrage.

I inhaled deeply and squeezed out a smile. "Sorry, it was a...it was nothing."

"Okay." she nodded in the most awkward way before she proceeded with her noodle again.
